The 3 Heads

If you know me, then you know that I’ve been putting in 20-22 hour days lately meeting deadlines, designing albums & oh yeah, photographing a wedding or event here & there. But! You’ll never believe it. I actually took a few hours out of my insane schedule for a date night with Katherine this past Friday & we went to The Blue Cafe in downtown Long Beach for some dinner, drinks & entertainment.

We had the best surprise there for one of the bands that performed. The name of the band is The 3 Heads & they were AWESOME! You can check them out on their My Space page HERE. Their sound is an acoustic rock/pop group that focuses its collective talent on straightforward songwriting. As you will hear, or have already heard, all of the songs vary in style and range from power-pop songs to mid-tempo grooves to soulful mellow ballads.

The one constant that resonates throughout both their CDs (we bought both Friday night) and their live show was their use of vocal melodies and harmonies that always seemed to carry an undeniable hook, regardless of what style of song it was. Also, each song’s simple structuring and lyrical rhythm possessed a unique and yet familiar sound for us. This quality was what makes their music both easy to initially listen to and addictive as we discovered the many different sounds of The 3 Heads.

If you get the chance to check them out live, you be swept in & enjoy their performance from beginning to end.

Have a great week - cheers!

I cannot express how much Marc and I enjoyed working with you. You manage to find such a perfect balance between crazy fun and absolute professionalism. You were so great at keeping it fun while still moving things along when we had a time frame to work with.
