Ventura Wedding With Alexandra & James

By David Esquire on Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Before I share Alexandra & James’ wedding at The Wedgewood Banquet Center in Ventura, California and you’re thinking to yourself… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that shoots in the OC and in San Fernando Valley – feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.  Shoot, if you’re reading this tonight, you’ll probably catch me online right now.

You’ve probably seen other weddings that I have photographed at the Wedgewood in Ventura.  I recently photographed Callie & Mike’s Wedding a couple of weeks ago or perhaps Amanda & Mike’s Wedding back in July along with a lot of others.  Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph weddings and events at various properties in Orange County, Los Angeles, the valley & other cities in the US and I must say that Sarah and her team at the Wedgewood property in Ventura definitely makes sure to roll our the red carpet in customer service.

The Wedgewood in Ventura has been a staple of excellence for over 20 years and since 1994, they’ve been awarded “Ventura County’s Best Banquet Facility.”  The location is a perfect golf course setting less than 2 miles from the ocean – which was great for Amanda & Mike’s wedding as we started at the beach & worked our way back to the Wedgewood.  Their wedding ceremony site is nestled in a rose garden surrounded by majestic palm trees and the banquet room has recently undergone a full renovation. Their banquet room has a built in fireplace, fabulous bar, and beautiful golf course views – which I tend to take advantage of quite often for my Signature Artistic, Romantic and Sexy portraits on the green.

Alexandra were originally married in Bolivia, which is where Alexandra is from and then they celebrated their marriage with an intimate wedding of their closest friends and family among floral arrangements by Passion Flowers in Ventura.  Alexandra looked beautiful in her Nina NYC Shoes and gown from California on Main (be sure to turn your volume down before clicking the link) and James was sharp as a tack as they recreated their ceremony in Bolivia.  After their ceremony, we did some classic and timeless portraits with their family & friends and then we headed out onto the green for some romantic and dreamy portraits.  Jesus and Alex from Merino Productions shot captured their day in video and The Bonfire played some terrific worship songs everyone could enjoy throughout the reception.  Their wedding day was definitely a romantic and relaxing day that everyone will remember over the years.

So without further ado, here is a little slide show that put together of Alexandra & James’ wedding which is also available on Pictage.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did capturing it & have a super Baby Friday – cheers!

I cannot express how much Marc and I enjoyed working with you. You manage to find such a perfect balance between crazy fun and absolute professionalism. You were so great at keeping it fun while still moving things along when we had a time frame to work with.
