0083Good morning everyone in Huntington Beach and abroad!  I received a note that has a fantastic wedding day tip from my good friends at Elegala.com and I really wanted to share with you this week.

So let’s say you’re an Orange County bride looking to make sure your wedding guests are not only well taken care of, but happy as well throughout your wedding day.  Having been to my share of weddings in Orange County, Los Angeles, and around the country, I think that this list is really creative and will help you get the most out of your wedding day for your guests.

But before I present you with this week’s wedding tip and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California, feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

So without further ado, here are some fantastic unique wedding favour ideas that aren’t dull and uninspired & have a super Baby Friday – cheers!

Unique Wedding Favors Ideas

0003Wedding favors often evoke a “been there, done that” response from wedding guests.  Looking for something a little more memorable than a bag of Jordan almonds?  Here are our top choices for a few inspiring guest thank-yous.

Late night munchies
After dancing for hours, rolling out individual snacks like mini hamburgers with a fixings bar are a big hit.

Photo Booth
Rent a photo booth and let your guests take turns posing for the camera.  Set up a DIY station with mini-frames so they can take home their favorite shots.  Mackenzie & Steven did this at their Sunset Wedding that I photographed for them on September 13th in Newport Beach & it was a HUGE hit.

Escape the Elements
If you really want to impress, give your guests something sublimely stylish yet useful to keep them smiling through the elements: stylish sunglasses (to deflect glare), sleek umbrellas (in case of rain), or cashmere scarves (should a breeze pick up).

Personalized Thank-yous
Place small journals at each place setting, and write every guest a personal thank-you note on the front page.

Make some noise
Liven up the party, and hand out maracas, small horns, or even kazoos – a great idea for a relaxed affair or a particularly festive bunch.

0056Family-favorites
Gather a collection of favorite family recipes from both sides into a small recipe book or box printed with your names and wedding date.

Final Farewell
Send guests away with a final parting gift, and enlist the parking attendants to place a flower with an attached thank-you note on the dashboard of each car.  If you’ll be providing guest transportation, be sure to place a basket of these favors at the front of the bus for guests to take prior to departure.

Give Back
Yes, this idea has been done – but altruism is at an all-time high, and we’re jumping on the bandwagon.  Donating in the name of your guests to a charity, one that holds special meaning for the two of you, adds another sentimental personal touch to your wedding.

Good evening from Huntington Beach, California everyone! I couldn’t wait to get back to Esquire Photography Headquarters in Orange County and start on post production for my sister Tawnya & Kurt’s wedding that I photographed in Temecula yesterday. But first, you may remember how our story kicked off with them for their Engagement Shoot that I did for them back in July at Angels’ Stadium in Anaheim, California.

Tawnya & Kurt’s wedding day kicked off at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Temecula.  Kurt & his men in black were all getting ready in their suite while Tawnya & her ladies in waiting were having their flawless makeup taken care of by Berit who came all the way in from Laguna Beach while enjoying mimosas, sandwiches and cheese & crackers.

Tawnya & Kurt’s beautiful sunset wedding and reception was held atop a hill at the opulent Falkner Winery in Temecula overlooking rows & rows of endless vineyards where Ms. Tina Tacket & her staff rolled out the red carpet and her staff made sure that every little detail of Tawnya & Kurt’s day was met with the white glove touch from her top-shelf attentive staff.

After the ceremony, we were able to capture some lovely traditional family portraits at the ceremony site with one of our world famous colourful sunsets that God painted for us in the sky.  Then I took the the entire bridal party down to the vinyards where we shot a fun portrait with everyone.  But once that was done, Tawnya, Kurt and I got to spend some time roaming the vinyards as I captured some of my signature artistic and romantic portraits with a full moon shining the way.

Mrs. Sarah Blake from Cupcake Blake (714.351.1935) created some absolutely delicious cupcakes for the tower that everyone could enjoy.  She had peanut butter, chocolate and my favourite; Corona Beer with lime frosting.  They were light and decadent without being over the top on the palette.

DJ Neko drove up from San Diego to keep the night moving along with music that everyone could enjoy. Family & friends were able to groove the night away with music of yesterday, some rock & roll of the 70’s and a few funk classics.  I even took to the dance floor to help the flower girls learn how to do the Safety Dance from Men Without Hats – a totally cool 80’s hit.

So if you’re a Bride or Groom located in Orange County or Los Angeles that wants to not only have a blast like we did yesterday for your wedding. But also be able to share with your family and friends some of my Signature Romantic, Artistic & Sexy Portraits, feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Without further ado, here is a collection of some of my favourite Signature Artistic and Romantic Portraits from Tawnya & Kurts’s Wedding at the Falkner Winery in Temecula, California in a slide show video and at Pictage & have a super weekend – cheers!

Top O Th’ Mornin’ To Ya!  I’m dropping three minutes and fifty one seconds of morning tunes to you live from Huntington Beach, California.  Just a pinch behind the Curtain in Orange County is this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

“Every human being needs a way to express themselves and for me, it’s music” Above & Beyond.

That one sentence sums up the love that I have for Above & Beyond right now.  They are seriously bringing some of the most incredible ethereal & Balearic hand-raising trance that the world has seen since DJ Paul Oakenfold dropped his first needle on vinyl.

Well in November last year, Above & Beyond launched a competition offering fans the chance to create the next OceanLab music video for “On A Good Day”. Jono, Tony & Paavo were overwhelmed with the quality and creativity of the entries and the official video has been made using the highlights from the best entries.

Above & Beyond also chose a well deserved overall winner; Ashleigh Tritton from Vancouver BC, Canada.  I woke up this morning with OceanLab’s song; Miracle in my head & I thought – what a terrific group to share.  Except that I already shared Miracle with you & needed some new tastiness for your senses this morning.  So when I watched this video of one of my favourite OceanLab tunes, I just had to share it with you.

So before I present you with this week’s feature of my West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California, feel free to Contact Me or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

So without further ado, I give you OceanLab’s fan music video for “On A Good Day.”  And, don’t just have an awesome West Coast Wednesday, but make it a positive one for someone else too, we all it need it – cheers!
