Comin’ to you live from Huntington Beach, California – just a pinch behind the Curtain in Orange County is this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

So as I was working over Labour Day weekend – like Saturday for Laura & Arthur’s Wedding at The Walt Disney Music Hall in Los Angeles, to a 1/2 day in my office on Sunday and a date night with Katherine to a 16 hour day on Monday taking care of deliverables for my awesome Wedding Clients to preparing a video promotion for my good friend Kathy at The White House in Anaheim. I heard a song playing on the television during my weekend at some point from the movie “Across the Universe” in the background.

If you haven’t already gathered from me, I’m a huge fan of musicals. But not just any musicals – powerful musicals about beauty, art & love. So listening to the music from Across the Universe reminded me of a classic song that I used to play till I broke needles on my turntable when I was a kid.

They’re a band that Duran Duran was for a brief moment coined after – “The Fab Five” — except that this week’s band was; “The Fab Four.” So unless you’ve been living under a rock your entire life, then you know that the group I’m referring to is The Beatles.

The song that I’m referring to is; Hey Jude. It’s lyrics are quite simple, but in it’s simplicity is a very powerful message. Growing up in the typical “American family” – Hey Jude by The Beatles was one of a handful of songs that helped remind me that where I was at that time was not only temporary, but that I could have a life achieving my dreams and make a positive difference in this world.

So before I present you with this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week; Hey Jude, and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California, feel free to Contact Me or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

So without further ado, I give you Hey Jude by The Beatles. And, don’t just have an awesome West Coast Wednesday, but make it a positive one for someone else too – cheers!

Good Evening from Huntington Beach, California everyone.  I’ve just finished watching the speech that President Obama made and if you’re not sitting down, I suggest you do so at this time.  Are you sitting down?  How about now?  Ok, I’m sure you’re sitting down by now, so I’ll go ahead and say this.  I am honestly impressed with President Obama’s speech that he made today at Wakefield High School.

As a small business owner running a little photography company specializing in wedding photography in Orange County, California – I’m really inspired that our current president is taking the reigns to the best of his abilities (from what we’re allowed to see and hear) and doing his best to inspire not just a country but a global youth to get it’s act together.

If you don’t think that is powerful – know that the United States is now officially in the shadow of Switzerland having lost it’s financial superpower that was made official today.  Yes, you read that right – the United States of America is now second fiddle to Switzerland as a financial superpower.  I find that ironic as that came to light today prior to President Obama’s speech today admonishing today’s youth to quit making excuses.

Tonight I would like to go out on a limb and I admonish you to watch the following video of President Obama’s speech.  I typically don’t like to chat about politics and religion often and especially publicly, but this speech has so much to admonishment and inspiration pouring out of it.

I would like to also point out to the haters & nay-sayers that President Obama’s speech contained absolutely NOTHING about politics, brainwashing, and all the blah blah blah that the haters & nay-sayers were whining about.  This is a speech that could have been done by the homeless man down the street.  This is a speech that needed to be said – no matter how painful it is – whether you’re a democrat or a republican.

Just take note that if you aren’t going after your dreams and all the while finger pointing at why you didn’t get yours – know that the world doesn’t owe you and nobody will help you achieve your dreams.  Dream big, because if you don’t, no-one else will for you.  I know this because I had to and have to continue to chase after my dreams.  Sometimes it feels like I’m tilting against windmills, but I know that my dreams worth it.

So with all that said…  If you’re in Orange County looking for a wedding photographer that will to go the “n’th degree” to work towards your satisfaction for your wedding photography experience and also knows how to dream big, Contact Me anytime or email me direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  I’d love to hear what you would like to do for your wedding or day.

Also, if you missed the video earlier today, I’ve embedded it and a couple of other inspirational videos into this blog posting and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section too.

Good evening from my little slice of Orange County, California everyone.  I have such an awesome story to share with you and can barely contain myself.  There’s a lot to share that happened up in Los Angeles, so here goes!

As I headed up to Los Angeles, California from Huntington Beach today, I knew today was going to be really cool.  A few weeks ago my good friend Cherie Steinberg Cote from Cherie Foto in Los Angeles, California sent me an email to see if I was available to be a 2nd photographer for her.  After having a terrific experience with Cherie last year when we photographed Amy & Sean’s Wedding in Beverly Hills, CA – I couldn’t say anything other than a resounding YES!

Fast forward to earlier today and I’m enjoying the air conditioning in the lobby of The Omni California Plaza in downtown Los Angeles poised with my Canon 5D Mark II in hand and ready to go.  Cherie arrives with a full crew consisting of Bill, Diana & Nancy all toting top-notch Canon & Nikon cameras for our adventure for Laura and Arthur’s wedding day.

Cherie headed up to meet Laura and her ladies in waiting with Diana & Nancy while Bill and I met up with Arthur for some relaxed and candid portraits while they were getting ready.  As soon as all the men were ready, we headed down to the lobby of The Omni Hotel to meet up with Laura’s entourage of beautiful ladies to make sure everyone had the correct matching boutonnieres along with some stylish Rolling Stone inspired portraits of Arthur and his men on the stair case.

Laura and Arthur decided to have their “first look” prior to the ceremony in one of the courtyards of The Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles where Laura soon came around the corner & met up with Arthur in her Lazaro wedding gown by JLM Couture, Inc..  Downtown LA lent itself to a very opulent and futuristic backdrop for me to capture some of my signature fish eye lens portraits along with a few sharp candids.

Eventually we made our way to The Walt Disney Concert Hall, where we were met by Laura and Arthur’s family for some timeless portraits and then we popped around the corner to capture more portraits of the bridal party with Laura and Arthur.  In the eye of the storm that is a typical wedding day – I was totally able to capture some of my signature artistic, romantic and sexy portraits of Laura and Arthur.  There is one that screams David LaChappelle and I am eager to have it enlarged onto a canvas wrap along with a few other favourites.

Laura and Arthur’s ceremony was held towards the end of the day as it began to cool off. Then followed by more fun and romantic portraits around The Disney Concert Hall while their guests enjoyed the fantastic spread that was laid out for them during the cocktail hour.  DJ Sylvia & DJ Todd from Sinking Radio spun the night away with killer lighting provided by Andrew McCartney from Australia.  Laura Robertson from TOS Events along with Kristin Enriquez & Teri Kinne from Patina Group (who you may have heard me chat of before with my terrific friends; Staci and Adam at the OC Wine & Food Center) rolled out the red carpet with the finest service throughout the night that would exceed anyone’s expectations.

So if you’re in Orange County looking for a wedding photographer that wants to get to know you better and help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera, Contact Me anytime or email me direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  I’d love to hear what you would like to do for your wedding or day.

I just received a totally cool email from Michelle & Gabriel about their Romantic and Sexy Photo Shoot that I just photographed for them in Seal Beach, California.  I firmly believe that it’s just about me showing up with a camera – but more importantly, about connection and relationships with my clients.  And, I think it shows in their photo shoot.
