0038Good morning from Orange County, California everyone!  I would like to say that it really seems like people are embracing the neuvo age way of thinking for their wedding day and I totally love it.  Today’s bridal couple is making their wedding day – “their own” without sticking to a lot of the more outdated traditions.

In one of the ways that today’s bride and groom are doing this (and it’s really noticeable in Southern California) is with their choice of music.  Not just for the special dances that happen – but during the ceremony and reception as well.

When I received a note from my good friends at Elegala.com going over various R&B songs for your reception – I just had to share it with you.  So if you’re looking to set a sensuous vibe at your wedding reception, look no further than a playlist full of R&B wedding songs.

With smooth base lines and sultry lyrics, the folks at Elegala.com compiled a list of R&B songs of love and devotion are perfect for moving, grooving, and getting your romance on – on the dance floor that is.  But with decades of songs to choose from, the only hard part is narrowing your playlist down.

0079So consider the following list of some excellent R&B wedding songs your starting point for your wedding day.  These passionate R&B wedding songs have fitting lyrics and sultry melodies that will suit every component of your wedding from walking down the aisle through to the last dance.

If you’re an Orange County or Los Angeles County bride or groom that has some questions about music or other aspects of your wedding day, feel free to Contact Me through the website or email me directly at david@esquirephotography.com – cheers!

Good morning from a “steamy & sticky” (Name that movie quote!) Huntington Beach, California everyone!  I was chatting with my good friend that tagged along with me at Erin & Ben’s Wedding on Sunday at the Palos Verdes Country Club in Rancho Palos Verdes and fellow Fast Track Photographer; Danny Mendoza about some different DJ’s last night and DJ Tiesto just stuck in my head.

Now I know that I’ve shared some Tiesto with you before, but this Power Mix by DJ Tiesto just got my day going.  Recently filmed in Rotterdam, Holland – DJ Tiesto totally blew the roof off to thousands of fans rocking the night away.

Also!  Stay tuned for something very special coming up with my West Coast Wednesdays.  It’ll be dropping this fall/winter of 2009 & there’s some great things in it for you.  If you want to get to know a little taste, feel free to Contact Me or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  Or, if you know the movie that I quoted above – shoot me a tweet on Twitter.

So without further ado, I give you DJ Tiesto’s Power Mix and have a super awesome West Coast Wednesday – cheers!

Good Afternoon Everyone!  So what do you get when you combine a wedding photographer from Orange County, Palos Verdes Country Club in Ranchos Palos Verdes, The USC Trojan Marching Band and an amazing couple that I photographed for their Engagement Shoot at my “Secret Spot” somewhere in Southern California.  You have the ingredients for a absolutely perfect wedding day.

I met up with Erin and her entourage at the Palos Verdes Country Club when she rolled up in a stretch limo from American Limo & as they were upstairs in the bridal suite, I was able to capture some fun and spontaneous moments with her family & friends.

While she was getting ready, I popped downstairs from time-to-time to capture pleanty of my “stalkerazzi” photos of family and guest showing up along with some shots of Ben & the guys popping around.

Their ceremony was held on the grand lawn overlooking the Los Angeles Valley and with a beautifully decorated chupah prepared for their wedding – it was perfect.

After Erin & Ben’s ceremony, the bridal party and family headed into the air conditioned fire place room (sounds wrong, I know!) for the signing of the ketubah along with some classic and traditional family portraits and a Beverly Hills 90210 inspired portrait of the bridal party.

In a flash, me, Erin & Ben stormed the beautiful rolling hills which provided me the best backdrop for my signature artistic and romantic portraits that I’m sure will be made into some beautiful canvas wraps for their home.  I was also told that we had quite the audience from the patios overlooking the green where we were shooting – so I’m sure some family & friends snapped a few shots of us working our mojo.

After we came back in and their special dances and toasts were done, Erin’s father welcomed in a HUGE surprise for them and it was none other than the USC Trojan Marching Band!  Sweeet!

Their reception was filled with laughter, tears of joy and a delicious cake by Rossmore Pastries shared with everyone that attended.  I hope you enjoy their video and if you would like to order any gorgeous enlargements or canvas wraps from their wedding, you can register on Pictage or feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

A big nacho-inspired Thank You hug to fellow Fast Track Photographer; Danny Mendoza for being there in a clutch during the day and I hope you have a super week – cheers!

And… Just in case you missed their Engagement Shoot, check out this tasty slide show of what we did at my secret place!

0029Good morning from a not-so-hot Huntington Beach in Orange County California everyone!  Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with Michelle & Gabriel who had a really fun, romantic and sexy portrait photo shoot in Seal Beach, California.

We met at Javatinis on Main Street in Seal Beach – which is just south of the orange curtain in Orange County & swiftly headed out to utilize the beautiful sunset that we were blessed with for their portraits.

Since Michelle & Gabriel were ready for anything I threw at them, we did some funky street portraits, a couple of cute portraits in the green belt that their daughter; Bella even managed to sneak into & then off to the beach for really sassy & sexy sunset portraits.

Here are a few of my favourites from their portrait photo shoot.  If you’re located in Orange County or Los Angeles County and interested in me for your wedding or portraits, feel free to Contact Me or shoot me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com. Have a great weekend – cheers!

0003Good morning from a caffeine-inspired wedding and portrait photography office in Huntington Beach, California everyone!  It’s one of those sleepy mornings in Orange County where if I got more than 5 hours of sleep & I think my eyelids embraced the additional amount of shut-eye & wanted more.  Ewww… yuk!

But!  What did perk up my morning was a testimonial from our new uber-cool clients; Anna & Lee, who we got to know really well location scouting last Saturday when Katherine & I were in Solvang and Los Olivos, California for our 4 Year Anniversary Weekend.

Lee had done a public recommendation about Esquire Photography on LinkedIn and after reading his testimonial, it just reminds me how important it is to make sure we, as photographers have what I’ve been referring to as a “Love Connection.”  Where your personalities, style, lifestyle and sense of humour gell together.

Here’s what Lee shared with us and others on LinkedIn & if you’re located in Orange County or Los Angeles County and interested in me for your wedding or portraits, feel free to Contact Me or shoot me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com. I hope you’re having a fantastic start to  your Baby Friday as well – cheers!

0004“Dear David Esquire,

I’ve written this recommendation of your work to share with other LinkedIn users.

Details of the Recommendation: “We met David and his wife, Katherine, only a couple weeks ago, yet it seems like we’ve been lifelong friends! He is very personable and produces some AMAZING shots! David has been a pleasure to work with, and he and Katherine actually went scouting for wedding locations with us. It helped that we picked a fantastic location. =) Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our choice of Esquire Photography as our photographer. We can’t wait to see the out-of-this-world shots he will produce at our wedding and reception (no pressure David! HAHA). If you select David to shoot your wedding or any other event, you will NOT be disappointed!”
