0002Good evening straight out of Huntington Beach, California everyone!  I’m back in from location scouting at the Falkner Winery in Temecula for Tawnya & Kurt’s wedding coming up in October & I couldn’t wait to share with you what I captured through my lens with Kim & Pete for their Engagement Shoot in Huntington Beach.

I first met Kim last year at a Ducati Fashion Night at Spectrum Motorsports and from there – we kept in touch chatting about photography and motorcycles – two huge passions of ours.

Well this past week, Kim gave me a shout out & wanted to know if I could do some engagement portraits of her & Pete.  I couldn’t wait to say yes & boo – yah.  We met up at Starbucks on Main Street in Huntington Beach and the rest was history.

I hope you enjoy a few of my favourites from their shoot & have a super weekend – cheers!

Happy cloudy morning from Huntington Beach everyone!  As I’ve been exploring some of the incredible trance music in the world this year, I remembered a DJ from the US that is quite amazing and commands a crowd of listeners everywhere he goes.  His name is Christopher Lawrence and I thought how cool it would be to share one of his videos for this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

Voted the #4 DJ in the World by DJ Magazine’s prestigious ‘Top 100’ poll for 2006, Christopher Lawrence is recognized worldwide as one of the World’s top DJs and producers. Dubbed “A Superstar DJ” by the US’s URB and “One Of The Most Popular DJs On The Global Circuit” by DJ Magazine, Christopher Lawrence is one of the biggest, most respected and popular names in dance music today. Once an outsider in a world dominated by European and UK DJs, Christopher has risen to the top of the international dance music heap. He is now considered one of the key global players and America’s leading dance music export, playing his tough techno trance sets main stage at the world’s biggest festivals and superclubs.

So sit back, enjoy your favourite morning kick in the shorts to get ya going & without further ado, I give you Christopher Lawrence’s Freefall, featuring Camille Kramer. Have a super West Coast Wednesday – cheers!

3years

support_PGlogo2Good morning from behind the “Orange Curtain” in Huntington Beach, California everyone! Have I got some fantastic and exciting bits of news to share with you. I received an email from the London 2012 Olympic Committee and…

Three years from today the eyes of the world will be on the Olympic Stadium in London, for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

On the evening of July 27th, 2012 a hush will fall around the the world – and the Games will get underway.

Who would have believed that London would even win the bid in Singapore back in 2005? It’s so awesome how far London come since!

stadium-three-340x185As you’ll see in the photos from the webcams in the Park, the venues are well on the way to be being built. The Stadium itself is a clear landmark on the London skyline. The Aquatics Centre roof is shaping up nicely…and so much more.

To mark the occasion, today London was joined by some unbelievably talented athletes – including newly-crowned World Champion diver Tom Daley – on the high-speed Javelin train from St Pancras to Stratford. They were delighted by a tour of the Olympic Park.

JavtrainYou can help mark the day too…take a minute to look back over the past four years since London won the bid in their video. Or play their special ‘3 years to go‘ quiz for the chance to win a London 2012 pin.

As the clock is winding down, I hope you’ll celebrate with me because I’m getting more & more excited to be a part of such a historic event. Not just in my career, but for the world as a whole – cheers!

Top o da mornin’ to ya from sunny Orange County’s coolest town; Huntington Beach in Southern California.  It’s not too often that I have the honour of working with a couple takes their time management and serious importance of being able to capture their memories, but when it does, you cherish it like a diamond.  Well I have to tell you that Amanda & Brian are the poster children for both!

Our day kicked off in Oxnard where we all met at the beautiful beach near the Mandalay property and it’s completely picture perfect for capturing artistic, romantic and a few sexy photographs.  Brian was the first to arrive in the wedding party, and it was perfect as we were able to check out the spots he & Amanda were thinking of to do their portraits.  Eventually everyone started to show up and we had the best light to do a “first look” before the ceremony.

After we had a blast at the beach and started to head to the Wedgewood (aka; “Bushwood” from Caddyshack that Brian said he was reminded of with the rolling hills) – but we broke down on the road.   Ok, not really – but the light was perfect, the open road was calling our name & we shot some really sassy portraits on the side of the road.

The ceremony (and reception) was held at the Wedgewood in Ventura led by Sarah and her impeccable staff that will roll out the red carpet for you like royalty.  The crystal clear blue sky was gorgeous for their ceremony and by the time everyone was ready to do the formal portraits, we had some soft shade that lent itself for some classic portraits.

After a “Beverly Hills 90210” shot with the wedding party, Amanda, Brian and I kicked our creative juices in gear for one of my signature artistic and sexy portraits on the hill.  And, Brian had the best ideas for some fun shots by the lake where he caught a really cool bride, but then the Amanda accidentally ran over Brian on the green with a golf cart.

Amanda & Brian’s reception was perfect and one of the last shots of the night was a really cool huddle around me as I was laying on the floor with my fish eye lens.  I hope you enjoyed some of my favourites that I caught of their wedding day & have a super weekend – cheers!

  • rusty_tripod - Nicely done images. Looks like the lighting was a challenge. Seem to be a fun couple. Some shots grab me quite well. Like bot the color and the black in white. It appears that you worked hard, but I looks like you might have enjoyed yourself in the process.
