With all the exciting photo shoots, weddings and events going on with Esquire Photography around the world (like my next International Photography Workshop in London, England) it’s definitely an awesome 2012 so far.  And!  It’s only the middle of May!

If Linda sounds familiar, it’s because she recently asked me to do a really awesome Portrait Photo Shoot of her in Long Beach.  Which she obviously totally rocked!

I first had the honour of meeting Linda nearly a decade ago when she hired me to capture some photos of her Girl Scouts troop.  From there & over the past ten years, Linda has hired me to do other photography projects for her – but more importantly to me, we’ve become really awesome friends.  So when she reached out to me to photograph her father’s 70th Birthday Party down in San Diego – there was only one word that escaped my lips and that was a resounding; YES!

Linda’s sister; Ann & brother; Victor & brother’s wife; Cassandra showed up early to help set everything up for the party.  As to be expected, Linda is a MEGA awesome planner and was able to arrange some extra time for all of us to kid around before the party.  Plus!  We were able to do some really and I mean REALLY colourful family portraits too with the overcast puffy clouds we had for the tropical sky.  What was crazy about the portraits was everyone wore the best colours for their outfits & it wasn’t even planned that way!  From the pizza monsters who delivered the lunch, to the family portraits, and romantic impromptu portraits of Linda’s brother & wife – her Dad’s 70th Birthday Party was a total blast!

As I’m sure you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook at the end of the year - the Workshop I taught with my good friend & fellow photographer Danny in Paris, France.

THEN!  There was the awesome Photography Workshop I hosted in Berlin, Germany a couple months ago in March.

Well… Now I’m VERY excited to share the next workshop back home in… London, England. YEAH!!!

Since the photography workshop in Berlin, Germany was such a huge success, I’m planning on doing an encore of it and keeping the topic the same with; “Posing & Relationship Building.”

This is something I’ve noticed quite a few photographers struggling with and I totally want to help out in any way possible AND keep it affordable.

If you are serious about your photography career and want to advance your skills learning more about how to work with people in front of the camera AND learn more about posing, this workshop is soooooooo totally for you.  Plus if you’re up for it, after the workshop we can always head out for an amazing dinner and a few pints as well.  YUMMY!!!

“Love comes in all shapes sizes and forms” David Esquire

Good morning from Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Photographer who’s totally honoured to share a very special day with you.

As I’m sure you’re aware, I capture quite a few photographs around the world from; Engagement Shoots, Portraits and Weddings for some absolutely incredible couples.  And, when I say a lot, I tend to capture between 325,000 & 375,000 photographs each year that are truly important & timeless to me and my clients.  So when I received a phone call from Monique & Cesar that her Grandfather; Mike had passed on and they wanted me to document the celebration of Mike’s life, I couldn’t help but to say yes for them.

Monique & Cesar and their family & friends are very special to me as I have photographed Monique & Cesar’s Engagement Shoot, Wedding, Birthday Parties and several other events over the years.  In a way, I’m their family photographer documenting their lives & then the honour of photographing Mike’s Celebration of his Life was such a beautiful yet bitter/sweet day for their family and monumental for me.  Especially since I only photograph celebrations of life for people who are very close to me.

I could go on & on about the day sharing a small variety of words with you, but since one photograph contains a thousand words, I’m going to let you experience the day with a beautiful slide show I’ve put together with a few of my favourite photographs from the day.
