That’s Right!  Here we come (again)!  Vegas Baby!  It’s Katherine’s birthday this weekend and I guess she didn’t hear those magic words still ringing in our ears from our trip on Thanksgiving (Wheel Of Fortune!!!) - so where does she want to celebrate… VEGAS!  Yeah!

We’re hitting the road tomorrow morning bright & early with my sister; Tawnya & some friends of ours to pile into a suite on the strip for massive partying, dining & who knows, maybe a try at good old Lady Luck.  And, since we’re going to be there for her b-day, we’re going to celebrate LARGE & IN CHARGE for the New Year Holiday!

Stay tuned for some snaps from the world famous iPhone gallery over the next few days.  You might even see another champagne pyramid!

Katherine, Nilla and I would like to say THANK YOU for a year full of kind words and all the love and support that everyone has been so generous with!

And, here’s our family Christmas tree sparkling with all kinds of presents for each other and Nilla too.  Have to include our cat - he’s a totally loving fluff ball that will chat your ear off!

Boo!  Scared Ya!  This year was Katie’s annual Halloween Party and it was bigger & better than ever.  It all started with some creepy overcast skies and a slight breeze that would raise the hairs on the back of your neck.  But, there were roumours spreading around that it wasn’t a breeze, but the ghosts of the witches of Lakewood coming around to scare all the moms & dads that brought their little ghouls to the party. Hello Everyone!  I just received a note from Katherine & I wanted to be able to share with you her tales from Europe:

Today was fun!

We went to the Van Gogh museum and walked a bit through Amsterdam and had my 2nd tosti- which is basically a grill cheese sandwich.  Then we headed off to practice where we did time trials for the kids.  Tomorrow is our real first day with the kids coaching.  I’m excited!  Everyone here is nice and friendly.  I even convinced someone to trade me their night off so now i have a Saturday night off in Amsterdam with my roomie and a few others. Hopefully the tiredness hopefully won’t take over - we arent able to start our night off until after 9pm and then up the next day at 7am. Read More »

Hello Everyone!  I received an update from Katherine this morning & she asked me to share some things with you.  Here’s the latest news from Europe:

How is everything going?  We just got in from our first day.  Breakfast at 7:45 and then off to the pool.  Today the athletes got coached at a clinic from the Dutch coaches.  Very interesting - learned some new techniques and then had lunch at the pool area.  The pool area is amazing!  It’s huge and there are actually 5 pools; 1 main swim one that is 50 yds., 1 cool down pool, 1 diving pool, 1 pool that has water slides in it and 1 pool outdoors.  When you leave the pool area there is a beautiful picturesque pond behind it, but closed for now due to health reasons… Read More »

Today was a sad day & a jealous day.  I saw Katherine off to Holland for the 4th edition of The Youth Friendship Games. Anyone that knows me, knows I’ve always yearned for Europe, and now my better half is gone for the next 10 days to my favourite part of the world.  But!  I’m very excited for her and the difference that she makes in this world with today’s kids.  Always empowering them to do better & doing her best to draw their best out of them.  Truly Honourable!  She’ll be coaching the swim team and I’m confident she’s going to be great!

Stay in touch, I should have an update from her in the next day or so.  Hopefully, she’ll email me some photos so I can share them with you.
