Good morning from Huntington Beach, California everyone!  The way back machine is in full effect today bringing you some luxurious, delicious synth-pop dance rock from the 80’s

Today’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week is from a British synthpop band originating from Sheffield in the early 1980s. The trio comprised of Martyn Ware (keyboards), Ian Craig Marsh (keyboards) (both previously with The Human League) and Glenn Gregory (vocals). Although most of the band’s output was in the 1980s, they have occasionally reformed to record and perform since then, playing their first ever live gigs in 1997.

If you’re not sure who the band is just yet, I’ll share a little more background about them.

They took their name from a fictional pop group mentioned in Anthony Burgess’s novel, A Clockwork Orange, and formed when Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware split from their earlier group, The Human League, and formed the production company British Electric Foundation (BEF).

Ok, unless you’re a psycho 80’s nerd like me, then I’ll go ahead & tell ya.  It’s Heaven 17 – one of my all time favourite UK bands of the 80’s.

What’s really cool about them is that they’ve joined La Roux to record a joint live session for the BBC which was shown on the BBC Red Button interactive channel (La Roux cite Heaven 17 as one of their main influences). The two acts also appeared live on stage at the War Child Brit Awards aftershow in February 2010.

In the run up to their 30th anniversary, Heaven 17 has announced several live dates in which they would perform their 1981 debut album Penthouse and Pavement live in its entirety for the first time (MOST Awesome!). The dates are scheduled for November and December 2010, but the band performed a couple of dates in March 2010, one of which was in Sheffield and was filmed and shown on BBC Two. And, an hour-long documentary about the making of the album was shown on BBC Two the following night.

Good evening from Huntington Beach everyone!  Or should I say, earthquake central with the 5.7 rumbler that came through & shook EPHQ a bit.

So now that my nerves have settle down a bit, what do you get when you combine a couture dress from Maggie Satero, classic tuxedos from Men’s Warehouse and a reception at The Mission Inn in Riverside?  You get one of the most fun & incredible wedding days that I recently had the honour of photographing with Angel & Brian in Sun City.

You may remember Angel & Brian from their amazing Engagement Shoot we did back in November in downtown Los Angeles at Union Station & Olivera Street.  Back then, we had a blast & I just knew that it was merely the tip of the iceberg for the amount of fun that we were going to have on their wedding day.

So fast forward a little bit in time and I’m showing up at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Sun City for their wedding where Angel was looking stunning as she was waiting with her ladies and their bouquets from Riverside Mission Florist moments before their ceremony.

Angel & Brian’s ceremony was a flawless Catholic mass in their gorgeous church which provided me pleanty of opportunities for me to capture soft romantic portraits of their celebration.  Not to mention the fun we all had doing the classic portraits with their families afterwards too.

Afterwards everyone headed to The Mission Inn in Riverside and that was where the fun was about to begin.  Angel & Brian along with their entourage totally killed their portraits and were uber-cool for the large group portrait that I wanted to at the entrance of The Mission Inn.

As soon as we wrapped things up with their bridal party, it was time for Angel, Brian and I to head out around the property so I could capture my signature romantic and sexy portraits.  Which can I say that they completely knocked out of the park!

A crowd pleaser at Angel & Brian’s reception was the completely awesome wedding cake by Simply Cakes.  There were several cakes joined together with camouflage, tanks & army men.  A couple of action figures were on the top cake and their wedding cake was the perfect backdrop for my signature portraits I did of their wedding rings.

Before you check out Angel & Brian’s wedding at the Mission Inn in Riverside and you’re thinking to yourself…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that shoots weddings all over from OC to LA to Ventura and to San Diego.  Feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

So without further ado, here is Angel & Brian’s wedding in a slide show that I put together.  You can also enjoy their wedding on Pictage and I hope you are having a great start to your week – cheers!

Good afternoon from Sunny Southern California everyone! I’m totally excited to share something really exciting with you.

Yesterday I received a note from a close friend of mine; Michelle Zuniga with Studio Z down in San Diego. She sends me a text message telling me to check my Facebook mail ASAP.  Like super super urgent, drop what you’re doing now & look at it.  So… I’m thinking to myself, she just got hired to photograph a wedding somewhere really exotic that I’ve been dying to go to.

Nope!

She (AND I) received a 5 STAR rating and review on Yelp about Lauren & Jamal’s Wedding at the Grand Tradition Estate in Fallbrook, California, that we photographed together back in December.  How cool is that!

I did a screen capture of the posting on Yelp – check it out!

I absolutely love working with Michelle.  She & I are very symbiotic and when our two styles come together – we go super nova.  Thank You Michelle for the opportunity to shoot by your side at Lauren & Jamal’s wedding.  As always, total awesomeness!

So… if you’re thinking to yourself that you need a photographer for your event and you don’t hire either Esquire Photography in Huntington Beach or Studio Z down in San Diego — then to quote Lauren above… “you’re a total fool.”  LOL!

But for reals.  I would love to chat with you & since I’m addicted to social media, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via Twitter, Facebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

I hope you’re having a super start to your weekend & stay tuned for some sexy & romantic photos that I’ve got coming from Angel & Brian’s wedding that I’ve recently had the honour of photographing too – cheers!

PS, Be sure to pop over to Lauren & Jamal’s Wedding so you can check out the video I put together.  With the new and improved Esquire Photography Website, I am able to show it in high resolution.  OR!  You can view it full screen on  your computer.  Can I say… Sahhhhweeet!

So if you’re thinking of hosting a party or an event, then you’ll need to hire a professional that knows exactly what it takes to pull off a successful event without having to lift a finger.  That’s what I’m talking about  So go ahead, check her out on LVL Weddings & Events.  You’ll be glad you did.

Also, if you’re thinking to yourself that you need a photographer for your event…  Maybe say… a Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that shoots weddings all over from OC to LA to Ventura and to San Diego.  Then maybe we should chat too.

Good morning from Huntington Beach, California everyone!  So I had the most interesting conversation and row of emails with my good friend & partner-in-crime; Garrett over at Shoot Dot Edit yesterday and I would definitely have to say that it was the inspiration for this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

He was asking me about Mr. Cardio as I made reference to it in one of my emails to him over the week.  So when I explained it to him that Mr. Cardio is my “endearing” term that I call the cardio machine that I get agro on every week – he bounced back with some really unique and fun ideas for me to do a self portrait.

The only thing though is that since we both have a bit of a twisted sense of humour, the ideas that he was sharing started to sound more like a Carl’s Jr. commercial featuring Paris Hilton instead of me getting agro on the cardio machine.  Of course I chimed in with I can’t get too sexy in the photos, which he quickly responded with saying that I should bring “Sexy Back.”  LOL!

Definitely good laughs were had in our emails and on the phones with him in San Diego & me in Orange County.

So there ya go!  That’s the inspiration for my West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week which if you haven’t guessed by now it’s “Sexy Back” featuring Justin Timberlake.

But before I present you with this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer that has a twisted sense of humour & is on the bleeding edge of fashion, music and videos, feel free to contact me anytime.
