Minneapolis Minnesota Portrait PhotographerHello from EPHQ (Esquire Photography HQ) in Minneapolis, Minnesota and have I got an epic moment to share with you!

Last year I had the honour of photographing a wedding for Joleeta & Kevin in Minneapolis.  Since before & after Joleeta’s wedding – we’ve all become cool friends getting together for coffee from time-to-time at the epic Uncommon Grounds between downtown & Uptown.

But when I received a note from Joleeta that her mom: JulieAnn was graduating college with honours and they asked me to photograph the graduation experience – I said an immediate YES!

It is such an honour to be invited to capture the memories of JulieAnn’s experience of graduating college from St. Cloud State University after while raising a family is VERY impressive.  And, to graduate college with honours just blows me away!

I could go on about & on about it but the video I’ve put together below has more than a thousand words in one photo or a few hundred words I could type out for you.

Huntington Beach Family Portrait PhotographerHello from Esquire Photography HQ and have I got a special treat to share with you!

Nearly a decade ago today, I had the honour of photographing Cara & Eric’s “Trash The Dress” photo shoot in Huntington Beach (LINK: http://esquirephotography.com/caras-trash-the-dress-shoot/).  Back in March of 2008, we all had a blast in the water and as the title of the shoot goes; we trashed her wedding dress.

Fast forward nearly 10 years & I receive an email from Cara wanting to do family portraits as they now have three sons added to their family.  The timing couldn’t have been more perfect too because we coordinated their family portraits the weekend I had photographed Elise and Sam’s Laguna Beach military wedding (LINK: http://esquirephotography.com/elise-and-sams-romantic-military-wedding-in-laguna-beach-california/).

We coordinated the family portrait at Huntington Central Park which offers nearly 350 acres of parks, trails and a LOT more.  Which was great because we were hoping their sons could have a lot of room to run around and I even brought the drone to give their sons a chance to take their hand at the controls.

Before you scroll down to enjoy their fun and colourful family portraits and would like to chat with me about your upcoming portraits or event, feel free to contact me anytime day or night.  I’m available practically 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, Instagram, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

And remember…

Sharing is Awesome!  Be sure to share Cara & Eric and their kid’s fun and playful family portraits on PinterestFacebook or Twitter to help other couples see how much fun they can have with the right wedding photographer!

Laguna Beach Military Wedding Bride Groom PhotographyHello from EPHQ (Esquire Photography HQ) and have I got an epic romantic wedding to share with you!

As you know – I’m a total sap of a romantic who love, Love, LOVES to photograph beautiful portraits like Rachel & Dustin’s Engagement Shoot that was ENTIRELY shot on the DJI Spark drone (LINK).  Then I’m an adrenaline junkie and “Miniac” who had a blast AND photographed the MINI Challenge performance driving event in Minneapolis (LINK).  And, then I really go crazy when I’m able to be a ninja to secretly photograph Humberto’s proposal to his lovely fiance: Matalyn at Lord Fletcher’s in Wazata, Minnesota (LINK).

But even though that’s a dynamic range of what I enjoy capturing, there’s something to be said about doing what you love with a colleague and friend you enjoy working with.  Therein lies the awesomeness of having great friends in my industry and why I was super excited to invite my long-time friend, educator, and photographer:  Danny (who I was VERY happy was not in Spain (yet) photographing and teaching again) to work with me.

Danny and I have photographed for a gajillion years and one of our favourite experiences was when we were teaching and photographing in Paris, France (LINK).  He and I even did a tandem photo shoot of Emma throughout the streets of Paris and you can check out what I put together of Emma’s photo shoot HERE.

So to be able to work in tandem again for Elise and Sam’s completely romantic wedding and off-the-chain party of the year reception for their military families was great!

I could go ramble on about Elise and Sam’s wedding and how picture perfect the weather was in Laguna Beach, or how palatial Elise’s bridal suite at The Inn At Laguna Beach was facing the Pacific Ocean, maybe the soft light their ceremony had at Seven-Degrees or better yet how unleashed the energy was at their tremendous reception.  But that would probably bore you.  So instead I’ll say…

Before you scroll down to enjoy Elise and Sam’s romantic military wedding and would like to chat with me about your wedding or event, feel free to contact me anytime day or night.  I’m available practically 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, Instagram, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Minneapolis Wedding Bride Groom PhotographyHello from Esquire Photography HQ and have I got a totally fun, dreamy and romantic wedding to share with you!

But before I share some of their story – where in the world in Carmen San Diego?  LOL!  JK!  Seriously though – what the heck happened to 2017?  I mean, SRSLY – Christmas is in a couple weeks.  Wholly Nachos & Newcastles!

One thing is for sure: because I haven’t blogged much since rocking the latest commercial ENTIRELY filmed & photographed, or should I say: #ShotOniPhone for my client: TEK Products (LINK) and the tear-jerker video I did for my brother: Tony that was also entirely #ShotOniPhone featuring music by Grammy Award winning artist: Moby for The Polar Run fund-raiser (LINK), certainly doesn’t mean I’ve still been up to my eyelids photographing and filming this year.  Which I’m sure you already know since you’re following me on Facebook, Twitter and nearly every other social media platform.

I actually had the honour of working with some totally MEGA brides and grooms, like Rachel & Dustin who I did an extra video of their Engagement Shoot that was ENTIRELY shot on the DJI Spark drone (LINK) and rock the Laguna Beach Grad Night week in Orange County, California.  There was also the MINI Challenge performance driving event that was #ShotOniPhone (LINK) and even was asked to secretly photograph Humberto’s proposal to his lovely girlfriend (now fiance): Matalyn at Lord Fletcher’s in Wazata, Minnesota (LINK).

Fast forward to summer 2017 and I am contacted by Kelly & Tom about their wedding which was planned for this year.  I’m sure you saw Kelly & Tom make a cameo appearance in Pam & Eric’s wedding which was…  get ready for it…  photographed, filmed AND Livestreamed on Facebook simultaneously (LINK).  Yes, you can call me crazy.  But then again, “Here’s To The Crazy Ones.

We all met to chat about what they wanted to do for their wedding at Uncommon Grounds in Minneapolis where the owner: Dale has done an amazing job restoring the historic building AND he serves some of the best coffees and Chai teas, like, ever.  And, needless to say, when they told me about where their wedding was going to be at, my first thought was: I’m soooooooo totally getting some drone footage of their wedding day.

I could go on & on, gushing over their wedding day, but the age-old saying of “a picture is worth a thousand words”and in Kelly & Tom’s case – their wedding should have an infinite amount of words because they have gorgeous drone footage too.

Before you scroll down to enjoy their gorgeous wedding day and would like to chat with me about your upcoming wedding or event, feel free to contact me anytime day or night.  I’m available practically 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Moby BeSomebody Minneapolis Inspire Polar Run Subaru“Cancer is a four-letter word” – Tony Mills

As you know – 2017 kicked off with the 2nd commercial ENTIRELY filmed and #ShotOniPhone for my client: TEK Products in Minneapolis (LINK).

AND NOW…  I HAVE SOMETHING MORE AWESOME FOR YOU FOR 2017!!

As of this installment – nine (yes, as in “9”) days ago on 20, January 2017 at 9:50 p.m., my brother Tony texted me and asked me to film a video for him explaining why he was in The Polar Run this year.  My immediate response was: “Sounds awesome to me!” and then he asked me how soon – which I responded: “What about tomorrow?”!

Zero planning, zero storyboarding, zero everything.  BUT!  What we had was: “Heart.  Miles and miles of heart.” to quote Gene Hackman in the epic movie: “The Replacements” with the uber awesome Keanu Reeves.

Tony, myself and our brother Jason lost our parents to cancer and Tony’s quote of “Cancer is a four-letter word” sums up EXACTLY how we feel about it.  Especially since there IS a cure and it’s being kept from us.  Tony shared in his video how we all know someone who’s life was cut short by cancer or we know of someone through 6 degrees of separation.

In our case – we were all DIRECTLY affected by it and there isn’t a day that goes by where the three of us think about our parents.  I even did a West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week in honour of our mum (LINK).

I’m not going to go on & on about this because I can barely type with my eyes having been burning for the past 9 days from crying, my migraines have been in full effect, and let’s say that in my mind – the sustaining words: “FCUK CANCER” are as loud as God’s voice to Moses as I’ve been working on this project.

What can YOU do to directly help?  For the price of one Starbucks coffee – you can donate as LITTLE as $5.00 or as much as you want.  Here are the links to #BeSomebody and make a positive difference in this world:

ALL the monies are going to Minnesota Masonic Charities, which will be DOUBLING the money and sending it to the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota.  This is VERY important to me as I am a Freemason myself – in a long line of others in my family tree.

ALSO!  It is with great honour to give a shout out to MOBY allowing me the opportunity to license and feature his totally MEGA song: “The Day” in Tony’s video.  You have been a HUGE inspiration to me for many decades and I continue to be in awe and inpsired with your craft and what you do to be a positive light in our world.

How did I do this?  By Employing The BEST Gear In The Industry!

Combine all that with a suite of software by Adobe Creative Cloud and a few other “cups of sugar” I learned from my mum to keep to myself – I had ALL the best in the biz for Tony’s video.

Before you scroll down to check out the video ENTIRELY filmed and #ShotOniPhone and would like to chat with me about photographing your story, event or message, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m on InstagramTwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, the old fashioned phone at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or direct 562.225.5915.

PS, Be sure to ramp up the quality of the video to 1080 HD so you can enjoy Tony’s message properly!

And remember…

Sharing is Sexy like a chocolate covered strawberry!
