The Fab Four - One-On-One Workshops For 2008!

Events, What's Happening

lewismarstonblog1002.JPGWe are happy to announce, that this summer David Esquire will be giving a glimpse of what lies behind the curtain…

He is offering to a select number of people one-on-one training and mentoring workshops for those who are passionate about getting into the high stakes, fast paced world of wedding photography.

Unlike some of the workshops that provide trained models and completely unrealistic shooting conditions and situations, this one-on-one workshop will take place at a real, high-end wedding, with a real couple, and the real life events that make shooting weddings exciting.

The workshop will include; a pre-wedding meeting and portfolio review, a full day real wedding shoot, and a post-wedding photo review. Which David Esquire will give you a bottom line, hold nothing back comment & critique of your lighting, composition and overall emotion of your work.

David Esquire is limiting the number of participants to 4 for this year, so if you or someone you know is interested please contact us at your earliest convenience by sending an email to: info@esquirephotography.com or call us direct at 562.225.5915.

Have a super week - cheers!

Helloooooooo From London!!!

Events, What's Happening, Misc. Ramblings

Good morning everyone!

We’ve had some connectivity setbacks since we’ve been here - so I thought I would drop everyone a note from a computer at a local cafe. Which by the way has the most AMAZING coffees that I have had EVER!!!

Katherine & I have seen MANY sights since we’ve been here and we’re actually off to the meet up with my friend - the Queen Mum after I wrap up this note.

Our trip has been an experience of a life time and I am very eager to come back ASAP. Stay tuned for our return as I will have a LOT of photos to share with you along with many many stories.

I need to head out now, but before we pound the pavement - I must get another fabulous coffee for ‘take away.’ That’s how you say it here in London; ‘take away’ and not to go.

Looking forward to sharing everyone with everyone upon our return - cheers!!!

Leavin’… On A Jet Plane!

Events, What's Happening

union-jack.jpgGood Evening!  I wanted to let you know that we will be leaving this Thursday morning to do an engagement shoot for Erin & Philip in… LONDON!  A Dream Come True!!!

The next couple of days are your last opportunity to chat on the phone for any brief consultations or review any questions you may have for your photography.  Since we’ve been shooting and in post up to the very last minutes, we haven’t packed yet & need the last few days to ensure we’re prepared for the trip.

If you do miss us before we leave, please leave a voice mail or send us an email & we will get back to you as quickly as possible when we’re back.

Speaking of, we’ll be back state-side just before Kirsten & Marc’s wedding April 5th.  And, in the office on Monday, April 7th - but stay in touch with the website as we’re going to do our best to post some photos of our travels and Erin & Philip’s engagement shoot.

Talk to everyone soon and if I’m lucky I’ll have a bit of an accent when I return - cheers!

St. Patty’s With Poxy Boggards & Merry Wives Of Windsor!

Events, What's Happening

Good Morning!  It’s 2:1pinks.jpg6 a.m. & I just got in from an incredible evening with Katherine, my sister; Tawnya & her hunka, hunka burnin’ luv; Kurt.  We were at The El Rey Theatre in Hollywood tonight for some Guiness & song with The Poxy Boggards and The Merry Wives Of Windsor to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

They held nothing back and performed some of their best from the past as well as tunes from their new album.  A couple of crowd pleasers were My Bess and Nelly The Mermaid.  And a new favourite of mine; Tender Love Ballad - AWESOME!  If you enjoy great Irish/Celtic/Folk drinking music and good people then you would have had a blast last night. Friends, Holidays, Family, Birthday, Events, What's Happening

vegas-2.jpgThat’s Right!  Here we come (again)!  Vegas Baby!  It’s Katherine’s birthday this weekend and I guess she didn’t hear those magic words still ringing in our ears from our trip on Thanksgiving (Wheel Of Fortune!!!) - so where does she want to celebrate… VEGAS!  Yeah!

We’re hitting the road tomorrow morning bright & early with my sister; Tawnya & some friends of ours to pile into a suite on the strip for massive partying, dining & who knows, maybe a try at good old Lady Luck.  And, since we’re going to be there for her b-day, we’re going to celebrate LARGE & IN CHARGE for the New Year Holiday!

vegas-1.jpgStay tuned for some snaps from the world famous iPhone gallery over the next few days.  You might even see another champagne pyramid!

Have a fantastic New Year’s Holiday - Cheers!

Esquire Photography Goes International Again!

Events, What's Happening

pictureline-postcard-11-29-07.pngNot too long ago, I received a call from one of my vendors; Pictureline.com.  They were interested in seeing a photo or two for consideration to be used in an international ad campaign on their website, postcards and POPs in their brick store in Salt Lake City for their Pictureline community

So I sent a couple of photos in & pretty much lost track of it as I burried myself in my last couple of events at the end of the year and wrapping up the post production for 2007 along with the last albums.  Well I was just informed that one of my favourite photos from Becka & Mike’s Wedding back in August was used for their campaign!  YEAH!

I love shopping from Pictureline not only for their selection, but their customer service rocks!  When they founded pictureline.com as a website more than ten years ago, their goal was to promote photographers and their photography.  And now they have worked hard to define a concept and design that meets the goals and the needs of photographers today. To that end, they have created a community in which they can promote our photographers and their work.

Check out the ad & check out their site - you’ll love it!

What a great way to start the holidays!  It looks like Christmas came early for us - cheers!
