What trip to Lost Wages wouldn’t be complete without renewing your vows at Cupids Wedding Chapel on the Las Vegas Strip?!!

As part of our renegade Thanksgiving vacation in Vegas, we had a coupon for a free wedding vow renewal & took the dive to walk the plank, er I mean aisle once again.

And yeah, you’re probably saying for Katherine it was the plank - I mean, it takes a great deal of patience, courage and test of your will-power to marry an eccentric artist like me.

We snapped a couple of pictures of ourselves while we were there & we also had a photographer that has been there since it opened nearly 50 years ago take our photos on something called film.

I’ve heard that people used to use this thing called film to take pictures and it’s supposed to be better than digital (or so they say!).

If you already don’t know, but nearly everyone knows that I am such a HUGE Hell’s Kitchen & Kitchen Nightmares fan.  Which makes this entry even more special to me.

Katherine & I had dinner with The Rock!  That’s right - the Hell’s Kitchen winner from this season at his restaurant; Terra Verde in Las Vegas.

What an honour & a veritible cornucopia of flavours for a dinner.  In fact, I referred to it as an experience & not just a meal.  If you have eaten at Ruth’s Chris, Famous Daves in Chicago or Delius in Long Beach - then you know what a meal experience is & that is exactly what we had.

If you have the opportunity to take some time out for a fantastic dinner with someone special in your life, then you need to go there, even if you’re not a fan of Hell’s Kitchen - it’s a slice of Heaven.

Ok-ok, if you know Katherine & I, then you know that she was blessed with the “jock” gene for our relationship.  So being the whacky couple that we are, we took our coupon for some “free” games & put that gene to the test.

And once again, Katherine showed me up in a “traditional” sport with her hat trick of strikes & sweeping the entire game with her score!

Just gimme the chance to get her on a snowboard, or some inline skates or pretty much anything that falls in-line with the X Games & then let’s have a challenge.  Hee hee hee!

Oh, but hey - I make bowling look good in my English Laundry shirt though!  ;-)  wink wink!

How do you start a great Thanksgiving break?

You get to Lost Wages in 3 1/2 hours & then have an incredible buffet brunch with pleanty of champagne.

Ok, but really now.  We all have many things to be thankful for & today is an excellent day to reflect on them.  Health, Love, Family, Friends, Kittens, Puppies, iPhones, Mac Computers and of course the one thing that drives Esquire Photography; Our Wonderful Clients!  If it weren’t for the wonderful couples and clients that I am invited to share their lives with, we would not be who we are.  And for them, I am very thankful!

Good Afternoon!  I just got in from the gym & had a text message on my iPhone from Kerrie & Jeff about their wedding photography.

“Thank you soooooo much 4 everything.  It was perfect.  I love every minute.  Off 2 Hawaii now!  Ker”

What makes this message super awesome, is that they sent it to me as they were about to board the plane to Hawaii!

What a great way to start the Thanksgiving week!  I’m so blessed and thankful to have such AMAZING clients & I wouldn’t trade what I do for the world!  Cheers!

Good Morning!  I’m starting to stir around & get things going after a full weekend of shooting two weddings & had a wonderful note in my email from Michelle & Josh about their Engagement Shoot last Saturday.

Good Evening!  I just got in from a whirl-wind wedding day with Corinne & Lee Jay up in Hermosa Beach, California.  I never knew that 7 hours could fly by so fast - whew!

Their day started off at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church  for some wild portraits with Lee Jay’s krew.  We had the challenge of having a straight face through their portraits and me holding the camera steady because I was laughing so hard with the guys.  And then Corinne arrived & she looked absolutely beautiful.  Even though the weather was giving us the most overcast skies, Corinne & her attendants looked stunning in the soft light that we had. Good Evening!  I just got in from photographing Kerrie & Jeff’s wedding with our Associate Photographer; Kerry over at L7 Studios and what a day!  Their day started at St. Paschal Baylon Church in Thousand Oaks, California with pleanty of laughs and jokes as we started off with formal portraits of the bridal party.  Although… most of time it didn’t seem to be very “formal” as the guys were out posing each other with their “Blue Steel” poses and the ladies gave me their some of the best sassy eyes I’ve seen in a long time.
