Good Evening! I just got in from working with my one of our Associate Photographers; Kerry to photograph Michelle & Josh’s engagement shoot for their upcoming wedding in May 2008. And, I have to say we had a total blast! The two of them have a chemistry that shines like a diamond in the sun, being playful throughout the shoot allowing us to capture relaxed and real moments that happen between them.
The day started off at The Fullerton Arbouretum with some fall-inspired colours and butterflies floating all around while we worked our way through the park. There are so many great hidden spots to shoot around the arbouretum and the next thing we knew our time we allotted there had past & we needed to leave for Laguna Beach for some more photos & fun.
We arrived at the very palacial Montage Resort & Spa in beautiful Laguna Beach, California. The Montage is situated on a coastal bluff in the picturesque arts community of Laguna Beach. It offers a very unique mix of amenities and conveniences of an ultra luxury beachfront hotel, coupled with the warmth and appeal of a cozy craftsman-style inn.
Or to put it in photographer-speak… it’s a breathtaking, opulent location filled with a veritable cornucopia of colours and vistas coupled with white sandy beaches and rocks hosting various tide-pools that you can go exploring in and around for picture-perfect photographs. Whew!
As the sun was setting providing us with another one of our world famous Southern California sunsets, we were able to pick & choose various spots to grab some good laughs and excellent portraits. And, now that the four of us have worked together and become more familiar with how we work in front and behind the camera – it will be that much easier and funner (can I still be 5 & say funner?) when the big day comes up in May.
