I am very honoured to share Kristine’s Grandfather’s Life Celebration

Newport Beach Photographer David Esquire Life Celebration FuneralGood evening from Esquire Photography HQ everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Photographer who’s totally honoured to share a very special day with you.

As I’m sure you’re aware, I capture quite a few photographs around the world from; Engagement Shoots, Portraits, Celebrities and Events for some absolutely incredible clients.  And, when I say a lot, I tend to capture between 325,000 & 375,000 photographs each year that are truly important & timeless to me and my clients.

Sometimes there are other types of photos that I capture.

Just over a week ago, Kristine’s Grandfather; Jay had passed on, and from what I’ve learned – he was quite an incredible man.

Plus, her Grandfather served his country in the US Navy and was also a fireman.  To me, giving back to Kristine’s family for a man who gave so much more of his life was the least that I could do – by capturing some of the personal moments.  Especially since quite a few people around the country were unable to attend.

Because this was a more intimate gathering of family & friends, I brought my Leica with me, which is considerably smaller than my Canon equipment and a LOT less intimidating.  I also embraced all the newer tools at my disposal, capturing portraits & videos with my iPhone 5s & Google Glass.

What was really interesting & it didn’t hit me until I got back to EPHQ last night is that I was photographing & filming with nearly 60 years worth of technology.  From a Leica & a lens built in 1956 to today’s technology in 2013 – it’s just really amazing how things have evolved & changed the way I can photograph life.

I could go on & on about the afternoon, but since one photograph contains a thousand words, I’m going to let you experience Jay’s Life Celebration with a beautiful slide show I’ve put together with a few of my favourite photographs from the day.

But before you scroll down to check it out and you’re thinking you’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Photographer & Google Glass Explorer – feel free to contact me anytime.
