TEK Products David Esquire Photography ShotOniPhoneHappy New Year from EPHQ!  Have I got a totally MEGA experience to share with you as we kick off 2017!!

As you had seen last year, I filmed the EPIC movie: “The Perfect Life” entirely on an iPhone and Nokia 808 Pureview featuring music by Grammy Award winning artist: Moby.

Then there was the WORLD’S FIRST destination wedding ENTIRELY filmed AND #ShotOniPhone SIMULTANEOUSLY for Vickie & Travis in Wisconsin (LINK).

There was the cool video filmed at Motorwerks MINI that was again ENTIRELY filmed and #ShotOniPhone (LINK) and the Halloween Zumba event at the Emma B. Howe YMCA in Minneapolis, also filmed and #ShotOniPhone (LINK).

Well…  while 2016 was filled with me travelling around the United States photographing and filming weddings, grad nights, commercials, rockumentaries and more, there was all the work going on behind-the-scenes for TEK Products because they…

HIRED ME FOR A 2ND COMMERCIAL!!  WHEW HEW!!!

The first commercial was best quoted by the company president: Mr. Tim Graupman that I was able to: “… see a vague idea turned into such a strong visual presentation.”  This year’s commercial he said he “couldn’t believe the commercial was the same length because we put so much more content into it.”

Throughout 2016, we had the complex process of writing, re-writing, story-boarding, and even more challenging; coordinating schedules for filming, casting, and more.  But because we had all worked on the first commercial so well, we understood what we were up against and employed the veritable cornucopia of talent we all brought to the table to take their 2nd commercial to the next level.

Since their first commercial was ENTIRELY filmed and #ShotOniPhone – I had to do the same for this one too!  Especially since Bentley Motors AND New Balance continues to use the iPhone for their commercials.  You can check them out HERE.

Employing The BEST Equipment In The Industry!

As always – the Beastgrip Pro for my iPhone 7 Plus is the ONLY way to go to house my “camera.”  Then there’s my JOBY GorillaPod Focus with Ballhead X for the hard to get shots in tight places.  And in a cleanroom environment, that was key.

Then there is the iRig Mic-Lav from IK Multimedia which has amazing features, advantages & benefits – making it a no-brainer to choose.

Mounted on my Beastgrip Pro with my flawless wide angle lens from Canon, I used the CN-LUX360 5400K Dimmable LED Video Light Lamp by Neewer.

Combine all that with a suite of software by Adobe Creative Cloud – I had to say: “Game On” to quote the epic movie: “Wayne’s World” – which by the way is RETURNING to the theatre for its 25th anniversary (LINK)!

Halloween Zumba YMCA Minneapolis ShotOniPhoneGood day from EPHQ and have I got a totally fun project to share with you!

As you’ve been sharing with me, Esquire Photography has been doing some amazing projects and photo shoots over the past year.  From taking EPHQ on the road so much more to doing a LOT more filmmaking and commercial work that’s entirely “#ShotOniPhone”.

There’s the commercial I created, directed, edited, filmed & photographed for TEK Products ENTIRELY on my iPhone 6 Plus (aka: #shotoniphone) and my Beastgrip Pro (LOOK).

Then there’s the movie; “The Perfect Life” filmed entirely on my iPhone 6 Plus in Minneapolis AND with my Nokia 808 Pureview in Trier, Germany featuring the song: “The Perfect Life” by one of my all-time favourite artists: Moby (LOOK).

AND!  The promo video I did for my brother: Tony for him racing in The Polar Run helping raise more than $20,000 for the Ronald McDonald House (LOOK).

Well… now I have something really fun to share with you!

Not too long ago, I donated my time for a Zumba fundraiser at Substance Church in Minneapolis to help raise money for a family in need.  One of the donations I gave to the church was a portrait photo shoot which was scooped up by a totally enthusiastic Zumba athlete: Elaine Francis.

Shortly after the event Elaine reached out to me and asked if she could share the gift with her Zumba class for a Halloween event she was hosting at the Emma B. Howe YMCA in Minneapolis.  That was totally cool with me and with a little planning – we knew this would be a blast.  Especially since it was ALSO a costume Zumba class too!  WHEW HEW!

From ghosts, to goblins, vampires, skeletons, and insomnia – Elaine’s Zumba event at the YMCA was a blast.  They had a Halloween-inspired class, but it was when they decided to have a flash mob downstairs getting the YMCA staff and other guests involved in the fun!

Elaine also had a fun grab-bag for everyone with various costumes and we did a crazy group photo shoot in the fitness room.  Which did get a little interesting because I was standing in front of someone on a machine – in my kilt! LOL!

Los Angeles Wedding Photographer ShotOniPhone PhotographyHello from Esquire Photography HQ and have I got a totally fun and romantic wedding to share with you.

But first, I’ve got to say: has the journey we’re sharing in 2016 amazing or what!?!  We have taken Esquire Photography practically everywhere teaching, photographing & filming weddings, commercials and a ton more.

From the incredible destination wedding ENTIRELY filmed AND “#shotoniphone” simultaneously for Vickie and Travis, to the first of three commercials “#shotoniphone” for TEK Products in Minneapolis (LINK) and the recent video with Motorwerks MINI Cooper (LINK) – it’s been a wild ride AND the year is not over yet (hint-hint – more awesomeness coming soon!)

Now I have something VERY special to share with you.

You may remember the beautiful celebrity wedding I had the honour of photographing for Shelby & Matt at Rancho Las Lomas which was featured on WeTV‘s “My Fair Wedding” with David Tutera.

Well… as fate would have it, Brittney & David are friends with Shelby & Matt and when they got engaged, yours truly received a phone call!  Can I say WHEW HEW!

ALSO!  What’s really great is Brittney’s Grandparents served in the Navy.  Her Grandfather is a retired WWII Marine and her Grandmother was a Navy Wave.  So their wedding day had basically an infinite amount of inspiration and specialness to me.  To be able to work with Brittney & David, who are friends with Shelby & Matt was like a reunion for me, and to be able to give back to a family who served & sacrificed for me with my Military Discount Program.

Plus!  Duran Rex and I were able to help Brittney & David plan their wedding with some tips & tricks I share on the program: “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day.”

Wedding Weddings Photographer Portrait Horses Minneapolis Minnesota Wedding PhotographyHello from Esquire Photography HQ and have I got a totally romantic and fun wedding reception I finished editing.

As you know – it’s been quite a year filming & photographing in and around Minneapolis and I’m totally honoured to share all of it with you.  From the incredible destination wedding ENTIRELY filmed AND “#shotoniphone” simultaneously for Vickie and Travis, to the first of three commercials I’ve done for TEK Products in Minneapolis entirely “#shotoniphone” (LINK) and the video I did with Motorwerks MINI (LINK), it’s been really ahhhhhfreakinmayzeeeeeeeeng!

Now!  I’m honoured to share with you Dawn & Todd’s romantic “I Do BBQ” wedding reception at their private ranch outside Minneapolis.  Dawn & Todd along with their family & friends put together an incredible wedding reception that had a really huge self-serve bar, delicious pig roast BBQ, pastries, a Spanish duet and candle-lighted seating for everyone.

The last time a wedding was put together of this magnitude was Shelby & Matt’s celebrity wedding at Rancho Las Lomas which was featured on WeTV‘s “My Fair Wedding” with David Tutera.

I could continue to write about the fun we had and the romantic signature portraits we did with their horses, but the video I’ve put together shows so much more than a few words I could jot down.

Motorwerks MINI Cooper ShotOniPhone Minneapolis Minnesota PhotographerHelloooooooooo from EPHQ and have I got something totally MEGA to share with you filmed in Minneapolis.

As you know – I’m a HUGE fan of MINI Coopers and the lifestyle brand image they represent.  Us “MINIacs” know there’s nothing quite like a MINI.  They’re fun, fuel-efficient and backed by one of the industry’s best maintenance and warranty program (I know!).

Anyone that owns a MINI knows what makes those automobiles awesome are the engineers and design teams who create them.  BUT!  What makes MINI Coopers awesome to own over the years are the teams who keep them running perfectly and safe on the road.

Which brings me to what I’m excited to share with you!  Located west of Minneapolis off the highway on Lousiana is the brand new Motorwerks MINI.  Motorwerks MINI has a totally MEGA selection of new and used MINIs available now at their Twin Cities MINI dealership.  AND freakin awesome customer service!

From the parts department to the uber-awesome Michelle Schall and her team in the service department, my experience has been top shelf all the way.  In fact, it has been so awesome, I recently recorded a video testimonial with Michelle.

But…  what happened that day at Motorwerks MINI was very unexpected.  I filmed and photographed wayyyyyyyyyyy more footage than I thought.  There was so much #ShotOniPhone that I created a promo video for Motowerks MINI.
