0002Huntington Beach, California had an eerie feel about it as the ghosts and goblins were walking the streets for candy Saturday night!  In fact, you could say it was a bit of the witching hour with nearly a full moon in the sky too.  But all those scary creatures didn’t stop Katherine & I from heading to the British Club in Garden Grove, California for their annual Halloween Costume Party.

After I got back from Alexandra & Jay’s Wedding at the Wedgewood in Ventura, we rapidly got dressed into our costumes & jammed to the British Club for the party.  The entire club was totally decorated from the entrance and throughout and there were more people dressed up that I expected.  I even bumped into my friend; Steve – the mad doctor & his wife; Sexy Nurse Ophelia, who made the Esquire Photography Crew TShirts and is going to be working on a little something else as well for me for the spring.

Everyone that came to the party in costume lined up for the contest – which was totally funny.  The most mistaken costume was Jabba The Hut from Star Wars.  The only thing was, the costume didn’t really look like JabbaThe Hut.  LOL!  The Mad Clown took the costume contest and Katherine won a prize too – the DVD of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  Very cool indeed.

Before I share some of my favourite photos from the annual Halloween costume party at the British Club in Garden Grove, California and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that enjoys the holidays.  Feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

Before I share Anna Marie & Lee’s wedding at The Firestone Vineyard in Los Olivos, California (that’s up by Solvang, California – beautiful wine country I must say!) and you’re thinking to yourself… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that burns the midnight oil.  Feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.  If you’re reading this tonight, you’ll probably catch me online right now.

So as I just mentioned about burning the midnight oil – I’m charging through today getting caught up on my blog after being sick for the past couple weeks.  So as I’m typing away at Esquire Photography HQ in Huntington Beach, I really wanted to share Anna Marie & Lee’s wedding before I wrap up the day.

You might remember Anna Marie & Lee from their Engagement Shoot that I recently photographed with them at the Huntington Gardens in Pasadena, the Pasadena City Hall & downtown Pasadena as well.  Or even the Location Scouting I did with them back in August on my trip up to Solvang with them.

Fast forward to last weekend & whoa – what an incredible 2 day weekend making new friends friends and creating awesome memories with Anna Marie, Lee and their amazing friends and family.  On Saturday, October 24th – Anna Marie & Lee rented a party bus so a small group of us could do a wine tasting tour.  We stopped at Firestone, Roblar, Fess Parker and Curtis Winery.  There was a ton of laughs (BCBC!) to be had with a tasty pot luck dinner at the end of the night.

Jump forward one day & it’s Sunday, October 25th.  There’s a bit of low-lying fog in the valleys of Solvang & Los Olivos – but we all knew that it would burn off.  Which was great, because I actually did a Sexy Sunrise Portrait Photo Shoot with Lee’s brother; Jim and his wife; Shannon up by Firestone Vineyard before the day really got “started.”

When Katherine & I came back from Shannon & Jim’s portrait shoot, we met up with Anna Marie and her ladies as they were getting ready.  The entire room smelled of fresh lavender & lilies of the valley as they were putting together the boutineers for the guys and some of the floral arrangements.  I was able to capture some terrific candids while the ladies were getting ready and Lee & a couple of the guys dropped by to pick up a few things and Anna Marie gave Lee an amazing Giorgio Armani watch.  But not to worry – because Lee wasn’t allowed any closer than a foot to the front door of their room.

Anna Marie looked like royalty in her Carolina Herrera wedding dress, and seemed to float when she would walk in her Nina NYC Shoes.  Her and Lee had their wedding rings done by Modern Design, Inc. – while Tony from Beverly Hills created a custom setting for Anna Marie’s Engagement Ring.  Which I totally couldn’t wait to do a close up of on the brooch on Anna Marie’s bouquet.

Anna Marie & Lee decided to do a 1st look and a personal/private ceremony to share with their family & a couple of close friends overlooking the rolling hills of the valley.  We even scheduled a generous amount of time for us to do some traditional and fun portraits so after the 2nd ceremony we had pleanty of time for me to capture some of my Signature Romantic, Artistic and Sexy portraits with the sun setting.  I even had the honour of shooting next to my good friend & videographer; Michael from Wedding Video Pro.

When we completed the portraits outside, we headed into the barrel room for more Romantic and Artistic portraits.  But not too many as there were pleanty of guests waiting for their grand entrance to the reception so the party could really get started.  Emmanuella from Petros in Los Olivos oversaw the cocktail hour and dinner to perfection and Petros himself even stopped by to say hi and wish Anna Marie & Lee his best to them.  Awesome!

Eric The DeeJay rocked the reception and kept everything moving with a symbiotic marriage of energy and taste that everyone who attended could enjoy.  He even had the single men serenade Anna Marie for the garter toss – which I haven’t seen a very long time, but is so much fun!

And, Petros Restaurant of Los Olivos provided the exquisite dinner & delightful cake.  Since I am a “foodie” – I’m comfortable going on record & saying; “Yummy!”

I could literally keep going on about their wedding day, but I just noticed that this has got to be one of my more long-winded posts, so I’ll wrap it up here.  But before I sign off, and you’re considering having your wedding at the Firestone Vineyard in Los Olivos – be sure to ask for Ms. Rachel Korrey (805.688.3940) and Ms. Joy de Vivre (805.637.5253).  From start to finish and with the help of all the top shelf vendors, Rachel and Joy masterfully oversaw and coordinated a wedding day that in my opinion was more like a symphony of elegance accompanied with flawless detail.

So without further ado, here is a slide show that put together of Anna Marie & Lee’s wedding and is also available on Pictage.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did capturing it & have a super weekend – cheers!

Good evening from Huntington Beach, California everyone!  Before I share April & Jason’s wedding at The White House Event Center in Anaheim, California and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that blogs like a mad man.  Feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

So as I’m getting caught up on my blog after being sick for the past couple weeks at Esquire Photography HQ in Huntington Beach, I really wanted to share April & Jason’s wedding before I call it a day.

Just about 2 weeks ago on October 17th, I had the honour of photographing April & Jason’s wedding at The White House Event Center in Anaheim, California.  I’ve shot so many other events at the White House Event Center, but April and Jason’s wedding was the first one for me there, so needless to say, I was pretty stoked.  Not to mention that I got to work with the never-tiring and uber-professional Ms. Kathy Miller from Activities So Cal.  If you know me & my energizer bunny go-go-go take on life, then you now know a perfect mirror of me in Kathy.  She & I had to have been cut from the same cloth as we seek to cater to our clients to the “n’th” degree without a pause in our energy.

There were so many details to capture of April & Jason’s wedding day.  For starters, April had two dresses; a Pronovias Wedding Gown with her grandmother’s pearls and some glamourous Stuart Weitzman Shoes.  She had a really sassy white cocktail dress for the reception with some really HOT Dolce & Gabbana pumps that she totally rocked for the party.  I don’t want to miss that Kira Boranian from Alexanders Grand Salon in Anaheim Hills did an awesome job with her hair & makeup and Shannon G’s Flowers from Whittier, California provided the beautiful arrangements as well.

April & Jason’s wedding was spearheaded by Ms. Kathy Miller and her amazing staff at The White House Event Center.  It’s poetry in motion watching Kathy & her team handle an event. The White House garden was transformed with flowers, a memory tree and accents of colour everywhere you turned.  That combined with The White House grand ballroom being lit with the glow of candles & lighting accents – it was the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding.  All the attention to detail and they literally make it look easy as they rolled out the red carpet for everyone that attended their wedding while DJ Eddie Boy spun tunes that kept the West Wing rocking through the reception.

So without further ado, here is a slide show that put together of April and Jason’s wedding and is also available on Pictage.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did capturing it & have a super weekend – cheers!

Good evening everyone!  If you’re like me, you’re recovering from an awesome Halloween weekend and if you’re reading my blog right now, then you may be thinking… Hey – before I check out My-Lien & Rafael’s Rancho Palos Verdes wedding, I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California. Feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

My-Lien & Rafael’s wedding ceremony and reception was held at Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Rancho Palos Verdes during sunset facing the ocean where you could see the birds flying by, the sun falling on the horizon line and an old light house just off to the side.  The location is magical during sunsets giving you a feeling of tranquility and serenity.

My-Lien & Rafael chose to see each other before the ceremony which was awesome as it gave us an opportunity to do a lot of the family & bridal party portraits before the wedding – then leaving us a ton of time after the ceremony to capture some of my Signature Artistic & Romantic portraits.  We even did a really fun portrait during the sunset with Rafael jumping too.

Their reception was spearheaded by Jean of Entertaining Friends and Candy of Point Vicente Interpretive Center where they rolled out the red carpet treatment with white glove impeccability for everyone.  Rafael’s family even had a hand in the reception as they brought delicious deserts from Europe for everyone to enjoy.

DJ Frank from SP Entertainment kept everyone movin and groovin on the dance floor throughout the night while I captured candids during the reception.

So without further ado, here is My-Lien & Rafael’s Rancho Palos Verdes Wedding in a little slide show that I put together and is also available on Pictage.  Have a super weekend and check back soon as I’ll be sharing a couple more weddings and events with you as I get caught up on my blog from being sick – cheers!

Good evening & Happy (almost) Halloween from Huntington Beach, California everyone!  I just got in from donating as an event and portrait photographer for to help a good cause at Katherine’s school; Carpenter Elementary in Downey, California. Like last year, they were having a HUGE event to raise money for the school with an enourmous fall-themed Harvest Happenin’ Event and asked me to come back and do the photo booth and photograph the event.

There were hot dogs, caramel apples, a pumpkin carving contest, crafts, and we had a family photo “booth” set up for families and friends to have some holiday inspired portraits. AND! a jazz/funk band from here in Southern California that performed throughout the entire night for everyone to enjoy great tunes while having a LOT of fun.

So before I slide show from their Harvest Happenin event and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California.  Feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

Without further ado, here’s a small sample of what I was able to capture through my lens. I’m very honoured to have been a part of helping the Downey community have not only a good time, but raise money for a fantastic cause.

Have a terrific Halloween weekend & watch out for the scary ghosts & goblins that will be wandering the streets for treats – cheers!
