dojopodcast-61x140Good Morning Everyone!  I hope everyone that celebrated their Cinco de Mayo responsibly yesterday and there aren’t too many hangovers being nursed today.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to celebrate, but we did manage to get another podcast for recorded yesterday Camera Dojo on iTunes that covered some great Letters From Listeners and what to do when things go awry.

We had a great letter from my good friends here in Southern California Jeff & Betsy McCue over at La Vida Creations that are not only a terrific couple, but amazing photographers and major Duran Duran fans like me.  You’ll have to listen to the podcast to get the full effect of what they shared with us.

If you’d like to listen to or subscribe to the podcast, just click the button below & you’ll be able to start enjoying all the information that we’re sharing with the photography community.  Not to mention you’ll get your “Black Belt In Photography.”

Good Morning Everyone! I’m a sleepy this morning behind the “Orange Curtain” in Huntington Beach getting you today’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

I have an artist for you that isn’t very well know in the popular music industry, but she’s a favourite of many in the movie industry.  You may have seen her in the blockbuster smash hits like; Resident Evil, The 5th Element, and more.

You’ve probably figured it out by now & here is Milla Jovovich with a favourite song of mine; “Gentlemen Who Fell.”  I hope you enjoy it over your yummy morning beverage & have a super West Coast Wednesday – cheers!

Good Morning Everyone! You’re not going to believe it, but I actually left my office in Huntington Beach & hit the road for a day off with a good friend of mine; Chris Diset.

We were introduced to each other in February at WPPI by our Associate Photographer; Tracey over at Two Rings & A Dress.  And since then, we”ve both been wanting to take a “sanity day.”  Now that the season is getting into full swing, we thought – why not & hit Ortega Highway on Saturday.

But being the couple photographers that we are, we couldn’t just go out on our motorcycles, we had to take enough gear that required a tank bag for Chris & my Boblbe-e backpack.

Our day started off at The Lookout Roadhouse for a massive carb-filled breakfast and after a couple of hours of chatting, we headed out on the road.  As we whipped our way in out of the twisties in Ortega Canyon, we found a couple of places to catch some good video & photos of each other riding.

Eventually we took a break & headed to Chris’ house to download the photos & check out the video that we shot & then headed back out for a bit to eat at Cook’s Corner in Trabuco Canyon and then with a quick last ride that had some SERIOUS bends in the road.  I was soooo in 1st gear on them!

Here’s a video that I put together with iMovie over the past couple of days.  It’s my first crack at the software so please don’t rake me over the coals on it.  I’m just a photographer – not nearly as video savvy as Vu & Lan Bui from the Bui Brothers.

I hope you enjoy the video & have a great Cinco de Mayo – cheers!

the-sippersGood Afternoon Everyone!  This week’s podcast that is featured on iTunes was recorded in three different locations in Southern California.  Have to love technology!

We have a great husband & wife photography team straight out of Orange County that goes by “Team Sipper!”  Or more regularly – the incredible Jeff and Dana Sipper of Sipper Photography.

Their conversation’s main focus is a followup to last week’s brief answer to how to work with groups and families to get groups of people to look their best.

Jeff and Dana share their experience with us as we explore this and several other related topics.

Jeff and Dana’s incredible work can been seen on their Website and they can be found on Twitter too.  Jeff’s Twitter name is:  SipperPhoto and Dana’s Twitter name is DanaSipper.

I hope you’re having a great week and you can also subscribe to the podcast on iTunes by clicking the button below – cheers!
