candiceGood Evening Everyone!  I just got back in EPHQ in Huntington Beach from a couple of errands, delivering some albums and almost forgot to let you know about a great conversation that we had with our good friend Candice Cunningham for Camera Dojo on iTunes today.

Candice Cunningham is a totally killer wedding photographer that hails from Ventura California (just North of LA in “The Valley”) who has been perfecting her craft for the past seven years and managed to do FIFTY weddings last year. Yes, you read that right FIVE-ZERO!  With this much experience under her belt, Candice talks to us about getting ready, dealing with clients, thank you cards, and so much more.

While most conversations we record are pretty much “wedding photography” intensive – Candice’s podcast covers diverse crucial topics that can apply to all parts of running a photography business such as dealing with customers and doing things to make them feel special.  My whole take that I gleaned from her podcast conversation is that it’s all about the clients, not us.

I have a rule of thumb that I do my best to treat the celebrities I have worked with like regular people and us “regular folk” like celebrities.  The bottom line though, is to recognize what makes a person feel special & treat them like that because the golden rule has changed.  It’s no longer treat people as you would want to be treated, but treat people how they want to be treated.

I hope you enjoy the conversation we have with her & if you would like to check out more of our podcasts, click the button below and you can subscribe to us in iTunes.

Have a super week – cheers!

Good Evening Everyone!  I’m sitting in my chair in my office in Huntington Beach still freaking out from watching the episode of Platinum Weddings on We TV for Kim & Ken’s Wedding that I shot on Catalina Island in September last year.

If you’ve been online today with Twitter or Facebook, then I’m sure you’ve been watching and seeing all the crazy messages that I was sending out through the program – sharing all the various set up shots that I put together & We TV covered (the dress, the golf cart, the ring shot & more!). You could also hear me in the program when they had their first look letting them know when they could look at each other and hyping the crowd too!

I truly feel blessed for this absolutely amazing opportunity and honoured that I have a fantastic wife that supports me and stands by me & this crazy venture I continue to enjoy called; Esquire Photography.

The program will be airing a couple more times tomorrow & Tuesday the 14th and I’ll be getting a DVD recorder to have a copy on hand to enjoy here at EPHQ too.

If you haven’t seen some of the photos from their big day, below is a small slide show that I did of their wedding and you can also check out more of there story HERE on the website.

I hope you had a blessed Easter as well & thank you again to all my friends, my brother; Tony & my seester; Tawnya that shared in this experience with me tonight – cheers!

scgeaster090005Good Afternoon Everyone! I just wrapped the post production in my office Huntington Beach for the photos that I shot at church this morning for Easter service and I think they turned out great.

Katherine & I attend Sea Coast Grace in Cypress where I’m a camera operator and it looks like I may start getting more involved as I introduce some regular still photography into the mix. Today’s standing room only service for Easter was perfect as the auditorium had impeccable decorations AND Tyrone Wells came back for an encore performance too.

Here are a few of the shots from today’s service and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did running around capturing them.

Happy Easter and remember to not eat any mini “chocolate” droppings that the Easter Bunny leaves behind – cheers!

Not only can you take a great picture, you are also such a fun person to be around. I will tell everyone I know who is getting married that they would be crazy not to use you! =)

Good Evening Everyone!  I am sitting here after a full day in Huntington Beach and a meeting with my sister and her fiance to chat about their upcoming wedding this fall and I just received a wonderful note from my good friend Scarlett Lillian in Florida.

When I was in Las Vegas with Kerry for WPPI in February, we sponsored Scarlett’s; Spend A Night With Scarlett Lillian through Camera Dojo for a fantastic night of fun and shooting in the rain on the Las Vegas Strip.  When we were out shooting, I was interviewed with Kerry and Scarlett just shared with me that we’re on the final cut of the video.

Totally check it out below & if you get a chance and are ever in Florida, be sure to ring up Scarlett.  She’s a great photographer with a keen eye for fashion sense and a blessing to our crazy “biz” called; Wedding Photography.

Have a super night & enjoy the video – cheers!
