Good Evening Everyone! I would like to start off by saying that if you didn’t spend the day with us, then you seriously missed out on some incredible scenery and world famous Southern California sunsets providing the best backdrops for our signature Artistic & Romantic portraits. Not to mention that I had the opportunity to spend the day with the greatest family in all those amazing settings!

Patty & Josh’s Engagement Shoot was more like hanging out with old friends that I’ve known for years. They brought their kids to the shoot which made it even more fun with pleanty of tree climbing, running around and getting stuck in the sand with the tide coming in. :-)

We started off at the Fullerton Arbouretum for a veritable cornucopia of colours the trees, creeks and beautiful sculpted nooks around the park. Then we headed down to our secret spot in Laguna where we counted a mere 14 people for about a mile or so up the beach. It was like we had the beach to ourselves for the shoot without having to contend for “sweet spots.”

Here are a few of my favourites from their day. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did capturing them through my lens – cheers!

Good Morning Everyone!  I just got up from a 16 hour day yesterday with Kim & Ken along with their family & closest friends from China, the US & all around the world and do I have a story for you!

Kim & Ken’s wedding was a little bit more than the usual wedding day as it was filmed for We TV’s program; “Platinum Weddings.”  We had multiple camera operators all over the island all throughout the day!  Mr. James Conant II from James Gang Productions headed the staff of shooters along with shooting footage himself.  I must say that James was a treat to work with as someone of his caliber is a rare find!!!

I met up with Kim and her entourage of ladies while she was getting ready at a small B&B house up the street from their wedding site.  Her dress was absolutely gorgeous, she had a pair of Benjamin Adams from the best country in the world; London and her jewelry was given to her by her mother which was a variety of family heirlooms.

Kim & Ken wanted to have their first look prior to the ceremony and at the last minute, they decided to have it outside the house that Kim was getting ready at.  Right after their first look – we all headed up to the Casino for some portraits with the ocean in the background.

Then it was off to Descanso Beach where their wedding site was.  Their wedding site was decorated by the Event Producer; David Z. with Davidz Design in Beverly Hills and Z’s Garden in Glendale and he did an absolutely amazing job.  Everything was perfect from top to bottom with candles, crystals, and beautiful floral arrangements all over.

Prior to the ceremony, Kim & Ken had hula dancers entertain the guests with the crystal ocean in the background and a saphire-blue sky.

Kim & Ken’s ceremony was to the point and afterwards we headed up to the Catalina Island Golf Course at the 1st hole for some incredibly opulent portraits with Catalina’s valley in the background.  Ken even had a spontaneous moment for a fun snap of the two of them – love it!

Their reception was definitely a party that nearly continued throughout the entire night!  After the cutting of the beautiful cake, garter & bouquet tossing and a little bit of limbo for the brave – everyone had an incredible time.

With all the events that happened and timing changes – today would not have been made possible without the cooperation of everyone involved.  For starters, there was Juliet & Marie from Catalina By Design that was the core “varsity team” of all involvement for Kim & Ken along with the vendors and family & friends.  Juliet & Marie handled everything from flying trucks from the mainland to the island to having a special private menu created for Kim & Ken’s rehearsal dinner at Steve’s Steakhouse to the Hula dancers and drummers getting on the island on time and even arranging for nearly all the taxis on the island to be at a moment’s disposal on for anyone involved in Kim & Ken’s wedding.  Needless to say, if it weren’t for Juliet & Marie, things would probably have turned out quite different for Kim & Ken’s wedding!

And! Another very incredible woman that helped ensure we were ready with all the timing for day.  We are very excited to say we’ll be working with a lot more in the future.  In fact, we’ll be partnering with her and you’ll hear her name come up a lot more in the future along with a LOT of her incredible coordination.  I would like to extend a special THANK YOU to Ms. Christine Zohrabians with Fancy That Event Design and Coordination.  She and I had many phone calls prior to Kim & Ken’s wedding and she helped keep us on track throughout the the entire day.  Thank you Christine for everything – you were wonderful!!!

Here’s a sample of what Kim & Ken’s day was like & we hope you enjoy it as much as we did capturing it.  Also if you’re interested in finding out the date that the program airs to see if we’re on TV, Email Us & we’ll be sure to let you know when it’s scheduled.

Have a super weekend – cheers!
