Whew! So come on inside and take a look at my "Riot Of Colour In A Grey World!"
What happens when a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer has a camera with them? Random photos that has to be captured right in the moment. This is a quick fine art photo that I took when I was heading out to Palm Springs for a meeting. I just loved all the elements about the sky out in Riverside when I was driving in Rio (aka; Red & Black Mini Cooper Clubman) with some DJ John B playing for the road trip.
I hope you’re having a great weekend & stay tuned for some more delicious wedding photography that I’ll be sharing. I have so many photos that I am excited to share here and on my Facebook Fan Page.
If you’d like to head out to do a road trip for some ramdom fine art portraits whether it’s in Huntington Beach, Pasadena or out in the desert, feel free to contact me anytime.

Have a great weekend & a fantastic holiday season – cheers!
Good morning from Huntington Beach everyone! I’ve got some uber-sassy romance to share with you over a cup of coffee in rainy Orange County. I recently had the honour of photographing Laura & Jorge’s Riverside Wedding at The Mission Inn with clear blue skies and a gorgeous starry night for some of my Signature Sexy and Romantic night portraits. Oh wait. the gorgeous night was for the swinging party that was going on for the reception in the Spanish Art Gallery. Hee hee hee!
You might remember The Mission Inn from Angel & Brian’s Wedding Reception that I photographed earlier this year back in June. So returning to photograph not only Laura & Jorge’s reception, but their romantic wedding on the staircase made for an absolutely perfect day. Plus, I’ve photographed many weddings at The Mission Inn over the years and it’s one of my favourite locations to photograph weddings.
Laura & Jorge’s Riverside Wedding was one of those days that seemed more than perfect. When I arrived at The Mission Inn, I was able to capture some fun candids with Laura’s ladies in waiting along with a few boudiour portraits as well. After everyone had their finishing touches wrapped up, Laura & Jorge opted for a first look with each other with their family & wedding party. I absolutely love doing first looks. They give my couples an opportunity to have a more private moment seeing each other for the first time or along with a small group of their friends & family.
ALSO! It lends to a huge time saver for the wedding day. We’re able to take care of quite a few portraits prior to the wedding ceremony and then have more time for my Signature Sexy & Romantic portraits.
I loved the touches that Jorge’s colleagues in the honour guard added to the ceremony, portraits and the group portrait with everyone giving a hearty cheer while tossing rose petals in the air celebrating the day. I also had the opportunity of working with a great videographer and DJ for the first time too. Walter Pawluck is a super cool and easy going videographer and DJ Jim Smith from Sure Shot Entertainment services rocked the reception making sure everyone was having a great time.
Before you check out Laura & Jorge’s Wedding at The Mission Inn in Riverside and you’re thinking to yourself… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer in Orange County that loves shooting sexy and romantic portraits under the moon-lit sky, then feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

Good morning from Huntington Beach everyone! It’s been such a fast year working with so many great couples, speaking on the [ b ] School Study Hall, my online “TV” program; “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day“ helping brides and grooms save time, money & their sanity — AND even being filmed again on WeTV for David Tutera’s; “My Fair Wedding.“ What’s crazy is that is only the tip of the ice berg too!
So I thought kicking my Friday off properly would be with some absolutely delicious and romantic wedding photography. I bet you thought I was going to say with coffee. Hee hee hee!
One of the awesome couples that I’ve had the honour of working with is Irene & Garrett. Their San Clemente Wedding was held at Cypress Shores park with a little overcast, but absolutely amazing weather for a very colourful wedding day.
Bur first Irene & Garrett’s wedding day started at Garrett’s family’s home where Garrett had to be put through the paces with a traditional quizzing of the groom while Evelyn Lui and her team of hair stylists and makeup artists put on the final touches for Irene and her ladies. Irene was absolutely stunning in a La Fleur Wedding Dress by Anne Barge, Swarovski earrings, and Miss Bisou shoes and a wedding ring that was Garrett’s mother’s made by Laguna Beach artist; Everett MacDonald. Her ladies were in hand made dresses from Taiwan and Garrett and his men looked sharp as a tack in Tuxedos provided by Friar Tux.
Once Garrett passed all the tests & located Irene, they shared in a very symbolic and traditional tea ceremony with Irene’s parents. I truly love it when there is a blending of families and incorporating of traditions as well. That just takes the event to HNL.
After the traditional events were done we headed to Cypress Shores in an antique Dusenburg that George Hardy drove for their wedding ceremony. I have to say that with the veritable cornucopia of music keeping the afternoon going by DJ Doug and his partner-in-crime with All The Best Tunes, BeachFire Bar & Grill taking care of the absolutely delicious meal and beverages, Black Forest Bakery in Lake Forest providing two yummy wedding cakes and Bob with A Timeless Memory shooting video with me throughout the day, and Krista Jon Couture with Downtown Flowers providing the beautiful floral arrangements – Irene & Garrett’s wedding day was perfect.
I would also like to give a huge shout out to Ms. Jill Watson from The Pampered Bride and her assistant Marsha Dunham from Queen For A Day Weddings for making sure that each & every detail was met and Irene & Garrett’s wedding guests & family had every need exceeded.
So before you check out Irene & Garrett’s wedding at Cypress Shores Park in San Clemente, California and you’re thinking to yourself… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer in Orange County that enjoys life to the fullest and capture all the infinite memories that happen throughout a wedding day, then feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

I hope you’re having a fantastic holiday season and check back soon for more delicious photography from a very busy season if you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check out the current episode of “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day.” Mr. Alan Katz a professional wedding officiant at the Edgewater Wedding Chapel in Long Beach has some terrific information to share helping you save some time, some money & your sanity – cheers!
Good morning from Huntington Beach everyone! I have a terrific Engagement Shoot/Family Portrait Shoot to share with you that I did with Juana & Rodrigo and their two sons; Nick & Max. I first chatted with Juana after she had seen what I did with Ruthie & Anthony for their Engagement Shoot in downtown Los Angeles. She like how I captured the emotion and romance between Ruthie & Anthony and wanted something similar for her portrait photo shoot.
Then over time – Juana and I had the opportunity to kick around ideas of what she would like to do along with her & Rodrigo being able to see me “in action” at Ruthie & Anthony’s Wedding at the Wedgewood Golf Club – where they were guests as they’re friends of Ruthie & Anthony as well.
What I loved about Juana & Rodrigo’s Engagement Photo Shoot was that they wanted to have a variety of environments and include their two sons. So we decided on the Fullerton Arboretum – which gave us the best of so many environments to shoot it. And, I really think that having their sons there made their shoot more personal and it gave me an opportunity to have some quality time with their youngest son; Max. So when their wedding day happens next year, Max will be familiar with me and that “ice breaker” time of working together is reduced, if not eliminated.
So before your scroll down to enjoy a sample of some of the fun we had for their Engagement/Family Portrait Shoot and you want to have a similar experience for your shoot, feel free to get in touch with me anytime.
I’m available just about 24/7 via Twitter, Facebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.
Without further ado, here is a delicious treat of a few of my favourite portraits from their Engagement Shoot/Family Portrait Shoot. You can also see the rest of their collection on Pictage – cheers!
PS, Be sure to check out the latest episode of How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day. I had the honour of sitting down and chatting with Alan Katz. He’s a professional wedding officiant located in downtown Long Beach and we had a total blast (which is totally evident in the outtakes). A must see indeed!
Good morning from Huntington Beach everyone! To quote Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran… “Play me something… funky!”
It’s 9 days and one wakeup before Christmas in Orange County and being a wedding photographer that loves Loves LOVES music, I wanted to share something unique and different for you. As I’m sure you know, I have very eclectic taste in music and it spans from everything to Blue Grass (Old school blue grass – not country) t0 classical, rock, techno, trance and more.
I’m a pretty big fan of the Black Eyed Peas and Fergie, so as I was humming “The Time” in my head this morning, I wondered if there was any Christmas music from the Black Eyed Peas. Sure enough! A totally funky live performance of the Black Eyed Peas on Oprah‘s program. Yeah!
The Black Eyed Peas are a big inspiration for me too. They come from the school of hard knocks, had a dream, busted their chops and were tenacious enough to make their dreams a reality (Not to leave out their breaking the rules in conceptual fashion & performances too!). I know exaaaaaaaaactly how that feels. Coming from the a-typical “American” family, I’ve done my best to chart a path that I can call my own since I was 6 years old. Granted it takes 20+ hour days (sometimes 7 days a week), massive sacrifices and a deep in my heart purpose. What I do is synonymous with what I love and is synonymous with who I am. I live, eat, breath, creativity. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time I come up with something new and when I am shooting – I’m in my “happy place.”
But before you check out this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer that totally digs the Black Eyed Peas, fashion AND share a plate of Nachos & Newcastles with my friends (all encompassing of clients, friends, vendors and people I love to hang out with), feel free to contact me anytime.
I’m available just about 24/7 via Twitter, Facebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.
So without further ado, I give you the Black Eyed Peas in a live performance of “The Time” and “Little Drummer Boy” on Oprah along with the original video of “The Time.” So feel free to sit back with your favourite beverage during your morning and enjoy the video.
Have an Fergalicious West Coast Wednesday and also remember to make it a totally Fergalicious one for someone else too – cheers!
