Good Morning Everyone! As we wrap up a FANTASTIC 2008 season with our last wedding of the year, here is an incredible posting that we would like to share. Kerry & I just got in from a fantastic day with Genevive & Alex for their wedding. Our adventure started yesterday morning when we arrived in Carson to meet up with Genevive & her ladies and Alex and his men at two different locations.
At Genevive’s family’s home, we had pleanty of time for some good laughs and even a special guest stopped by from Disneyland too. Over at the house Alex was getting ready at, not only were they dressed and all set to go for the day, but even had time to get their “Captain on” while shooting some hoops.
Genevive & Alex’s wedding was a very traditional Catholic service held at the Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance. It was a completely opulent and gorgeous celebration of two families coming together & Genevive looked like royalty as she came down the aisle.
Immediately following the ceremony, we rounded everyone back into the church for a very fast session of formal portraits with the family & then the fun really started to kick in. We headed outside for some of our signature Artistic & Romantic portraits in front of the church and then we whisked ourselves away to brave the elements at the Seal Beach Pier. The weather was definitely intense, but everyone & I mean everyone totally stuck it out & we got some fun shots on the pier & around Seal Beach.
Once we wrapped up our shoot in Seal Beach, we headed to the Old Ranch Country Club where Genevive, Alex & their party defrosted to warm. Then we headed out yet again with Genevive and Alex onto the green for some spectacular Artistic & Romantic Portraits. They sky was so opulent and the setting was about as picture perfect as it gets.
Ms. Heather Morgan at the Old Ranch Country Club was 100% in tune with Genevive & Alex’s needs along with meeting all the needs of the guests and the vendors too. If you ever need a beautiful location for your wedding with an attentive staff, call Heather up & she will make sure you’re well taken care of.
Our great friend Albert Lopez & his partner-in-crime; Jose from Elegance Elegancia made sure that the fun ran through the entire night & we even had a world record for doing table portraits with the guests. We completed the portraits in 12 minutes for about 225 people. It was totally awesome!
Here are a few of our favourites from Genevive & Alex’s wedding day & we hope that you enjoy them as much as we did capturing them – cheers!
