Good Evening Everyone! I just got back home in Huntington Beach and can’t wait to share my evening with Katherine & her prestigious award that she just received from the State of California for her exemplary teaching.
Tonight’s Awards Banquet was held at the Rio Hondo Event Center in Downey where the State recognized Katherine for her outstanding support and service to the children of Downey through the PTA program at her school.
There were pleanty of laughs tonight as we were informed by the speaker that one of the teachers at another school “got around,” I got to joke around with Katherine’s colleague’s mum who just turned 80 on March 30th (She reminded me that I should stand up during the Pledge of Allegiance and I reminded her that she should clap for the other people receiving awards) and Katherine did her best “Blue Steel” with one of the statues (a favourite of mine!).
