Good afternoon from Huntington Beach everyone! I just realized what time it is & hadn’t launched my West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week for you. My blondeness!
So I have a little bit of fun to share with you that I recently enjoyed over the weekend when I was in post production Sunday night after speaking at the Bridal Showplace event in Pasadena and had the 2010 MTV European Music Awards in Madrid, Spain on. It was a totally full show with a star studded list of performers like; Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Kid Rock, Kings Of Leon, Linkin Park, Plan B, and Shakira on the EMA stage for what was a magical event. Presenters included Johnny Knoxville from Jackass, ‘Jersey Shore”s Pauly D, The Dudesons and Emily Osment.
The mind-blowing performances from the hottest artists in the music biz was incredible to listen to while I was working! Rihanna and her killer set of pipes hit the stage and joined the likes of Miley Cyrus, B.o.B. and Hayley Williams in a long line of A-list performances and 30 Seconds to Mars rounded out what was an incredible night.
I would have to say that one of my favourites performances was by Katy Perry. She did her new song; Firework to an enourmous crowd & it was awesome. With pleanty of fireworks too. Hee hee hee
If you’re not too familiar with Katy Perry, you’ve got to check this snippit from Katy Perry’s bio on her website – it’s awesome!
“Katy erases any barrier between pop star and audience by writing all her own material. “You’re getting a pure connection to the artist,” Katy says. “You’re not getting some idea of what that artist should be, you’re getting a direct voice.”
Nowhere is Katy’s voice and vision clearer than in concert. She is a relentless road warrior, albeit one who comes complete with gigantic, blow up plastic strawberries to toss into the audience. As a newcomer, she stormed the Warped Tour stage for 47 dates in 2008, immediately winning over hardened rock fans with her ceaselessly energetic live show. Since then, she has steadily built audiences across the planet by touching down in more than two dozen countries and filling increasingly larger venues each time she returned to a city. 2009’s headlining “One of the Boys” tour was a phenomenal success, selling out around the world.”
