Mary Ann & Basem’s Wedding Day, Aug. 1, 09, Santa Ana, CA

Good evening from semi-hot Huntington Beach, California (the not too small beach community with no too much summer heat… uh huh)!

Have a got a beautiful wedding to share with you.  Last week I received a phone call from my good friend Jeremy at Lucero Photography, Inc. if I was available to shoot with him yesterday.  I told him that I had Kim & Pete’s Engagement Shoot, but needed to see if I could move the start time.  Kim & Pete were super cool & we moved their start time up a bit & voila – I was able to shoot with Jeremy.

Mary Ann & Basem’s ceremony was at Arch Angel Michael Church in Santa Ana & the reception was held at Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, California.  Both locations are perfect for anyone that would like to have traditional Greek Orthodox wedding and red-carpet location for your reception.

There are so many bits that happened today from the “Hi-Fi boom box” we had rockin tunes on a Blackberry while the guys were getting ready, to the Rolls Royce stretch limo to the stunning lighting and music filling the ballroom from Huey from Platinum Peaks and Allison and her staff with their impeccable service from Balboa Bay Club – it was needless to say a perfect day.  Jeremy and I even had the pleasure of shooting side-by-side with Tom from Film My Wedding.  Which I have to say is always refreshing to work with a professional that understands we all have to “get the shot” during our day.

I hope you enjoyed some of my favourites from their wedding day & have a super weekend – cheers!

    Beautiful, happy and fun pictures!
    Great work!

On this same day I did my very first ever wedding shoot!
And you know what? It was you guys – Kerry and you, Sir David Esquire – that inspired me to give wedding photography a try.
During one of Camera Dojo’s podcasts you guys adviced to ask a wedding photographer to second him on a shoot… and so I did.
It was an adrenaline rollercoaster but I’m trully amazed by the experience!
Thank you both for the inspiration!
