Tina & Brian’s Lakewood Wedding, Feb. 6, 2010

Good evening everyone!  I’ve been listening to some Templar documentaries on the History Channel while I put together a veritable cornucopia of some terrific Artistic Edits from Tina & Brian’s Lakewood Wedding today that I’ve been dying to share with you.

Tina & Brian’s wedding day started off with pleanty of rain early in the morning as I was up at 5:30 a.m. to meet up with Tina and her ladies at her home in Lakewood at 7:30 a.m.  The drive over was like riding a snowboard as there was standing water on every highway and surface street.  But once I arrived, that was when the fun started!  With dresses from David’s Bridal for Tina and her ladies along with Tina wearing a beautiful charm bracelet from Brian on one wrist and another gold bracelet borrowed from Tina’s sister-in-law; Julie.

Since it was still raining out this morning, we managed to rearrange a few pieces of furniture to do some portraits of Tina along with her ladies & some of her family.  It was the perfect situation & helped us avoid heading out into the rain which wouldn’t have been a good thing for the lady’s dresses.

Straight after the portraits at Tina’s home, I headed over to St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Long Beach where I caught up with Brain and his guys for their portraits.  The guys looked great in their Kenneth Cole suits and with the break in the weather – we captured  some GQ inspired portraits in front of the church.

Tina & Brian’s traditional Catholic ceremony was beautiful and if you were keeping up with their day today, you may have seen a sneak peek of their ceremony that I grabbed with my iPhone.  With the stained glass, the light spilling into the church with the storm breaking, I couldn’t resist myself & shot upstairs in the balcony for one of my signature fish-eye portraits showing everything off.

After the classic portraits we did in the church, I stole Tina & Brian away for a romantic portrait of the two of them in front of the church and steeple, but only to be greeted by a new friend; Jessie – who is also a DJ that stopped to share a timeless tradition with them with their first dollar bill as a married couple.  Can we say Awesome!!!

Their reception was held at The Centre at Sycamore Plaza in Long Beach where a delicious lunch was served by Candlewood Caterers along with a gorgeous and scrumptious red velvet cake from Rossmoor Pastries.  I did break down & eventually have a slice & whoa – it was delicious with a cream cheese frosting too.  Tina & Brian had two entrances too!  They came down the staircase to their group of friends & family and then I popped up on the stairs to get a huge group photo of everyone.  Awesome!

Before I share Tina & Brian’s wedding at The Centre at Sycamore Plaza in Lakewood, California where Chris & Eric from DJs 2 Order spun tunes that everyone could groove to and you’re thinking to yourself… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that shoots weddings in all over from OC to LA to the Valley & to San Diego (Pretty much anywhere you’re wanting me to be).  Feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct atdavid@esquirephotography.com.
