Good morning from Huntington Beach, California everyone!  This week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week is inspired from some of the recent meetings I’ve been having at Fred’s on Pacific Coast Highway & Main Street in Huntington Beach.  Ahhhh yes… Fred’s… A great restaurant & pub where they have some of the yummiest Nachos and ice cold Newcastles this side of Las Vegas (Planet Hollywood’s diner in Lost Wages has the best there!).

Now when I think of Nachos & Newcastles (which I’m sure you know are one of my absolutely favourite snacks), I’m usually thinking of some really great music that will accompany it.  Fred’s in Huntington Beach happens to play a really awesome collection of music and as I mentioned – serves up some yummy Nachos & Newcastles.  When I was there last week with my good friend; Kenneth from Morry’s, they happened to have some Guns n Roses blastin’ over their sound system & it inspired me to feature Guns n Roses this week as we enjoyed our happy hour meeting.

I’ll even be at Fred’s again later today meeting up with my good friend & client; Stephen Arnold from F & C Creations to go over the photos from his shoot we did on location in Huntington Beach.  You might remember his amazing artistry with my Family Ring!

Where am I going with this?  To be honest, nowhere significant really.  LOL!  But quite simply put — I can tell you that Guns n Roses + Nachos + Newcastles = a very cool mix of a delicious snack for the summer & some amazing head-banger rock-n-roll.

So for this week’s Nachos & Newcastles inspired West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week, I chose “Sweet Child O Mine” by Guns n Roses.  When I shot Jennifer & Andrew’s rehearsal dinner and all night rockin’ karaoke party at the El Galleon on Catalina Island – “Sweet Child O Mine” and “Paradise City” totally brought the house down.  Yeah!

Good evening from Huntington Beach everyone! In between church & meeting up with Erin & Kevin for their final walk through for their big day next weekend, I totally put together some artist edits from Gabriela & Terry’s Costa Mesa Wedding at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church I had the honour of being included in.

Gabriela looked lovely in her David’s Bridal wedding gown while Terri & his entourage were sharply dressed in their tuxedos from Men’s Warehouse.

Gabriela & Terry’s traditional Catholic wedding ceremony was perfectly lit all around out and the gorgeous and vibrant colours on the wall murals complimented their mass.  Gabriela mentioned to me that the wedding ceremony was one of the most important parts of her day – which was music to my ears because I love love love capturing all the various details and moments during a Catholic mass.

Immediately after the large family group portraits, Gabriela & Terry hopped in their white stretch limo to pop back home to capture a quick portrait with their dogs at home.  With a few quick portraits at their home, I was off to head over to the Mile Square Golf Course where Ms. Ana Rivera – the Catering Associate & Ms. Gina Homik, the Catering Director prepared Gabriela & Terry’s reception ballroom beautifully so I could capture details before the party started.

The reception was rocked through the night by Steve with DJ Dean Hall who I totally love working with.  He kept everyone enjoying a veritable cornucopia of music from rock & roll to hip hop and Latino.

From the beginning of Gabriela & Terry’s day to the end of the night so many memories happened for me to capture alongside Arturo Galindo from AGZ Studio shooting video.  The were tons of fun candid portraits with their friends & family and the impromptu portraits I did with the men & then the ladies just before the grand entrance were a blast.

Before you check out Gabriela & Terry’s wedding day and you’re thinking to yourself…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that wants to enjoy life to the fullest, feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

Good morning from Huntington Beach, California everyone!  I first heard today’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week artist when watching one of my favourite video mixes from TMF’s podcast back in 2008 when I came back from London for Erin & Philip’s Engagement Shoot. It was N.E.R.D. and they were mixed in with Fall Out Boy and their rockin’ guitar pumped version of “Beat It” along with other songs like; “I Wanna Be A Rock Star” and “One Milli.”

The song is “Everyone Nose (All The Girls Standing In The Line For The Bathroom)” by N.E.R.D. and I totally dig the rawness, fun and how they don’t take themselves too seriously in the video.

N.E.R.D (No-one Ever Really Dies) (stylized as N*E*R*D) is an American rock, funk and hip hop band. Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo were signed by Teddy Riley to Virgin Records as a duo, The Neptunes. After producing songs for several artists throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, the production duo formed the band with Shay Haley as a side project of The Neptunes in 2001. N.E.R.D’s debut album, In Search Of…, sold 603,000 copies in the United States and was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It was also awarded the second annual Shortlist Music Prize. The band’s second album, Fly or Die, sold 412,000 copies in the United States and was certified Gold by the RIAA.

In 2005, N.E.R.D ended their contract with Virgin and disbanded. Three years later, the band reunited under Star Trak Entertainment, a subsidiary of Interscope Records established by Williams and Hugo. The band’s third album, Seeing Sounds, sold 80,000 copies in its first week.  Can we say… sahhh-weeet!!!

This year, N.E.R.D announced the release of their fourth studio album entitled Nothing, which will be released on September 7, 2010. The first single from the album, “Hot-n-Fun” featuring Canadian recording artist Nelly Furtado, was released on May 18th, 2010 to iTunes.  I think that they’ve definitely had their share of ups & downs – but seem to keep coming up stronger & better each time they overcome a speed bump in their path.

Good evening from Huntington Beach everyone!  Have I got some delicious yumminess to share with you.  Sunday afternoon I had the terrific opportunity to meet up with Stephanie & Mike at my secret spot in the Orange County area somewhere for their Engagement Shoot.  Or should I say more like a sexy romantic portrait session!

Words really can’t describe how amazing their Engagement Shoot was, but I can definitely tell you that they set a new standard of romance and sexiness for portraits.  They took it to the HNL!

So I’ll pretty much cut to the chase & say that if you’re an Orange County or Los Angeles County Bride or Groom that wants to not only have a blast like we did Sunday at at my secret spot during your Engagement Shoot – but also be able to share with your family and friends some of my Signature Romantic, Sexy and Dreamy portraits – feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

Good morning from Huntington Beach everyone! It seems like this is the season of sea-faring weddings because Saturday I had the honour of being aboard Pacific Avalon’s Royal Princess Yacht in Newport Beach for Kira & Mark’s Wedding.

When I arrived a little early & boarded the Royal Princess Yacht, I had an opportunity to get re-acquainted with the boat as I hadn’t been on that one in a bit.  I love the intimate vibe and ability to get from top to bottom so quickly.  And!  There’s a stair case at the front & back of the yacht, which makes it so easy to move about the cabins for any event.

Kira & her daughter; Jayden had almost identical-styled gowns from David’s Bridal.  Beautiful white dresses with blue trim and soft beading and accents.  Absolutely perfect for a wedding on the ocean!  Mark & his “Best Man Dude” looked relaxed and sharp in their island-inspired threads too.  All around, from the bridal party to the family & guests – everyone was told to attend the wedding comfortably & be ready to party.

And… par-tay we did!  After Mark planted a big smooch on Kira after their perfectly timed wedding ceremony and the family portraits were wrapped up, the three of us immediately headed out for some good times alone so I could capture some of my delicious Signature Romantic and Sexy Portraits – all the while laughing and playing around.  Once their sunset portraits were done, then the good times REALLY began!  Mark’s sister even came up with a new word that makes everyone smile really big for portraits. Totally cool!

I’d like to send a big shout out to DJ Catherine for stepping up to the plate too.  Unfortunately the DJ that was supposed to spin for Kira & Mark’s wedding was in a car accident en route to the wedding.  But DJ Catherine came to the rescue & “rocked the boat” for everyone with a spontaneous mix of everything from classic rock, to dance and Latin.  It was awesome!

But before you check out Kira & Mark’s wedding aboard the Royal Princess in Newport Beach and you’re thinking to yourself…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that wants to enjoy life to the fullest, feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

So without further ado, here is Kira & Mark’s wedding in a yummy and colourful  slide show that I put together.  I hope you’re having a great start to your week & come back by soon for some more yumminess I have to share with you from Stephanie & Mike’s Engagement Shoot at my “Secret Spot” yesterday – cheers!
