So I’m thinking… Orange County + Huntington Beach + California + One rockin’ Wedding Photographer with an eclectic taste in music will give you what I think the most diverse West Coast Wednesday Videos Of The Week.

This week’s video is a band formed in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California in 1985. The band, led by frontman and co-founder Axl Rose (born William Bruce Rose), has gone through numerous line-up changes and controversies since its formation; the current lineup comprises vocalist Rose, guitarists Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, DJ Ashba and Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman. The band has released six studio albums, three EPs and one live album during its career.

The artist is Guns N’ Roses & the video is “Sweet Child O’ Mine” — as if you couldn’t tell by the banner photo or the multitudes of information in the 2nd paragraph (LOL!).  Throughout the years, Sweet Child O’ Mine consistently gets the crowds rockin & screamin of all generations and ages – no matter if you’re at a wedding, Bar Mitzvah or a grad night.

But before I present you with this week’s feature of my West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this eclectic Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California, feel free to Contact Me or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

So without further ado, I give you Guns N’ Roses’ West Coast Video Of The Week.  And, don’t just have an awesome West Coast Wednesday, but make it a positive one for someone else too – cheers!

Good evening everyone!  I’ve been listening to some Templar documentaries on the History Channel while I put together a veritable cornucopia of some terrific Artistic Edits from Tina & Brian’s Lakewood Wedding today that I’ve been dying to share with you.

Tina & Brian’s wedding day started off with pleanty of rain early in the morning as I was up at 5:30 a.m. to meet up with Tina and her ladies at her home in Lakewood at 7:30 a.m.  The drive over was like riding a snowboard as there was standing water on every highway and surface street.  But once I arrived, that was when the fun started!  With dresses from David’s Bridal for Tina and her ladies along with Tina wearing a beautiful charm bracelet from Brian on one wrist and another gold bracelet borrowed from Tina’s sister-in-law; Julie.

Since it was still raining out this morning, we managed to rearrange a few pieces of furniture to do some portraits of Tina along with her ladies & some of her family.  It was the perfect situation & helped us avoid heading out into the rain which wouldn’t have been a good thing for the lady’s dresses.

Straight after the portraits at Tina’s home, I headed over to St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Long Beach where I caught up with Brain and his guys for their portraits.  The guys looked great in their Kenneth Cole suits and with the break in the weather – we captured  some GQ inspired portraits in front of the church.

Tina & Brian’s traditional Catholic ceremony was beautiful and if you were keeping up with their day today, you may have seen a sneak peek of their ceremony that I grabbed with my iPhone.  With the stained glass, the light spilling into the church with the storm breaking, I couldn’t resist myself & shot upstairs in the balcony for one of my signature fish-eye portraits showing everything off.

After the classic portraits we did in the church, I stole Tina & Brian away for a romantic portrait of the two of them in front of the church and steeple, but only to be greeted by a new friend; Jessie – who is also a DJ that stopped to share a timeless tradition with them with their first dollar bill as a married couple.  Can we say Awesome!!!

Their reception was held at The Centre at Sycamore Plaza in Long Beach where a delicious lunch was served by Candlewood Caterers along with a gorgeous and scrumptious red velvet cake from Rossmoor Pastries.  I did break down & eventually have a slice & whoa – it was delicious with a cream cheese frosting too.  Tina & Brian had two entrances too!  They came down the staircase to their group of friends & family and then I popped up on the stairs to get a huge group photo of everyone.  Awesome!

Before I share Tina & Brian’s wedding at The Centre at Sycamore Plaza in Lakewood, California where Chris & Eric from DJs 2 Order spun tunes that everyone could groove to and you’re thinking to yourself… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California that shoots weddings in all over from OC to LA to the Valley & to San Diego (Pretty much anywhere you’re wanting me to be).  Feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct atdavid@esquirephotography.com.

Good morning to everyone in Orange County and abroad from Esquire Photography HQ in Huntington Beach, California!  Are you stressed out about your wedding plans?  Having difficulty with the mountains of tasks that seem overwhelming?  Well I received a note that has a fantastic wedding day tip from my good friends at Elegala.com and I really wanted to share with you this week.

So let’s say you’re an Orange County bride (or groom!) and you’re finding yourself bogged down with wedding planning & it’s really starting to take it’s toll on you.  Having planned my own wedding and been to my share of weddings in Orange County, Los Angeles, and around the country, I think that this list is really creative and will help you relieve yourself of some of the stress or at least help you deal with the wedding planning.

OR!  There is the old standby that Katherine & I did, which was some comfort chocolate chip cookies or a scoop of yummy ice cream.  We would pick up something, go for a walk & not breathe a word of the wedding, family, or anything work related.  Just reconnect so we could have a fresh mind when we would go back to tackle the item(s) that were giving us grief.

But before I present you with this week’s wedding tip and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Orange County Wedding Photographer in Huntington Beach, California, feel free to Contact Me on the Website or send me an email direct at david@esquirephotography.com.  You can also stay in touch with me in “real time” on Twitter, Facebook and my Facebook Fan Page too.

And without further ado, here is the list from Elegala.com & have a super weekend – cheers!

Reduce Wedding Stress – Four Easy Methods

How do you fight the inevitable stress that comes with planning a wedding? Read on…

As a bride-to-be, you’re bombarded with a growing pile of tasks demanding your attention, and the resulting stress can overpower what’s supposed to be a joyous time in your life.  Instead, emerge from the pile of fabric swatches, font styles and contracts and ..…just….breathe. During your engagement, step away from wedding planning, and take time to enjoy yourself as a fabulous single woman. Sure, kicking your heals up and relaxing as your task list expands exponentially may sound impossible.

In reality, allowing yourself some time to rejuvenate will not only reduce wedding stress, it will ultimately make your wedding planning more efficient. Have you ever tried going for a morning run without a good night’s sleep the night before? The same applies to wedding planning.

Here are four easy methods to reduce wedding stress:

Reclaim your life and yourself
What activities comprised your free time before wedding planning seized your soul? Reading? Jogging? Shopping? Crafts? Don’t let those activities slip; take that time to yourself and enjoy the relaxation that comes with doing something that you enjoy. Even if just for a few hours a week – it will make a world of difference

Reconnect with friends and loved ones
Has it been weeks or months since you spoke with your best friend or sister (NOT about the wedding)? Losing contact is easy when you’re busy or believe loved ones are out of touch with your life. Take some time to reconnect with your closest friends; ask them about their lives. Keep them up-to-date on your wedding planning – but also discuss other aspects of your life. You are a multi-faceted person, after all.

Cater to someone else for a change
Yes, this is one of the few times in your life when the attention is solely focused on you and your life decisions, and you should enjoy your time in the spotlight. That said, don’t get caught up in the selfishness of being a bride. Do something unexpected for someone else. Take a break from wedding planning and cook a friend dinner, serve a meal at your local soup kitchen, babysit for a couple who could use a break…You will be surprised how good (and relaxed) you will feel by making others feel appreciated.

Spend quality time with your fiance
It’s sadly ironic that in the planning of a new life together, couples often struggle to find quality time with one another in the present. The best way to begin a marriage on the right foot is to avoid neglecting your relationship now. Building a life as one should always be your top priority, (remember – it IS the reason behind the big party!) so enjoy romantic evenings together and try not to talk about the wedding. Focus on your relationship and your future beyond the wedding day.

Above all else, don’t lose sight of what’s important and don’t lose sight of yourself. Keeping this in mind will reduce wedding stress – we promise! Savor every moment of your engagement, and arrive at your wedding positively radiant.

  • starysnowbrdrchk - On this last item– Spend Quality Time with your Fiance– so important. As an engaged couple, we are finding that we have less and less time together. My fiance works a lot, and i do too– we are also both in Grad school. We make it a point to actually schedule time together. Sure, we live together– but we only see eachother at night for dinner and drop into slumber after an exhausting day.

We have Date Night, and we call it that. We go out, and (as David mentions above) we dont talk about the wedding– similarly as marrid couples should not discuss thier Children when having time together. This is our time to be together, as the two of us, not the future bride and groom. Put this into you wedding planner, blackberry or iPhone as a strong commitment… at least 1 night per week!
