0001Good Evening Everyone!  I just got back behind the Orange Curtain in Huntington Beach and wanted to share a quick note with you about a little meeting that I had tonight.

I’m sure you already know, but just in case you don’t, I’m one of the approved vendors for the upcoming 2012 Olympics in London, UK.  It’s definitely an honour to be a part of history coming up and I’m sure that all the years that I shot extreme sports – will pale in comparison to the Olympics.

So tonight was the first of many meetings to come with Think London & UK Trade & Investment.  As London is preparing to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games, they have coordinated a North American Roadshow to chat about the incredible opportunities associated with London delivering the very FIRST digital and sustainable Olympic games.

The British Consul General; Mr. Bob Peirce & his lovely wife; Mrs. Sharon Harroun Peirce hosted the event in their beautiful home in Hancock Park.  Ms. Janet Coyle, the Director of the 2012 Games at Think London presented along with Dan Epstein, the Head of Sustainability at Olympic Development Authority and a few others.  I’m so impressed with what the city of London is doing for not only the city, but the community as well.  So many aspects of the Olympic games are recyclable too!

As I was about to leave for an evening coffee with my good friend and Camera Dojo guest; Roberto Valenzuela, but I made a quick stop-off to share my appreciation with Ms. Coyle for putting together so much information for us.  Well, one thing led to another & I was chatting with several people that are going to play an integral part in us expanding into London.  Or should I say will help us ramp up the timeline that I’ve been thinking about to what will seem like light speed.

I’ll have so much more to share with you as time continues, so definitely stay in touch so you’ll be up-to-date – cheers!

0069Good Evening Everyone!  I just got back in my office in Huntington Beach from a fantastic day spent out in wine country.  Katherine and I had an awesome afternoon hanging out with Mackenzie & Steven at the Ponte Family Estate Winery in Temecula for their Engagement Shoot.

I got to know Mackenzie through her sister; Marcy at the Wyndham Orange County as they’re both sisters.  So when Mackenzie got engaged – Marcy arranged for us to meet because we’re both very similar spirits that like to laugh a lot & have a good time – which would be a perfect fit.

Fast forward to today & not only was the weather was beautiful for their Engagement Shoot, but the sun was softening up behind the clouds, the breeze was blowing through the vineyard’s aisles and you couldn’t turn from one side to the other without being splashed with vibrant colours.  It was like we were in a scene from the movie’ “A Walk In The Clouds” with Keanu Reeves.

After their Engagement Shoot, we just had to celebrate over a bottle of Cabernet that Steven picked out, toasted to a great shoot and chatted about their upcoming big day this fall.  We even bumped into a bachelorette wine tasting party that was next to us that Mackenzie & Steven made new friends with.

Here are a few of my favourites from their Engagement Shoot at the winery and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did capturing them – cheers!

Top O The Morning To You from Huntington Beach, California (literally, “Top” of the morning!).  I just got in & although I should probably go to bed after shooting a Grad Night at The White House Event Center in Anaheim – I’m going to stay up for a little longer & share my night with you.

Tonight’s overnight shoot kicked off at 10:00 p.m. and it took off from there.  The students had a seemingly endless myriad of things to do from amusement park rides, a rock climbing wall, a hypnotist along with so much more.  And, a DJ to keep the tunes rocking through the night in between events.

Tonight’s graduating class was a bit smaller than we’re used to shooting – only about 115 students, but that didn’t stop everyone from having a great night.  It was also really cool that the students received their yearbooks when they arrived, so it gave everyone an opportunity to sign each other’s books.

Have a super week – cheers!

Comin to you live, straight out of Huntington Beach, California behind the “Orange Curtain” – I bring you this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

BUT! It’s not just any video, this video was originally banned in the UK, ignored by the US & is more of a cult classic that is wayyyy hard to find.  Not to mention that there are actually FIVE (5) different versions of the video too.

So without further ado, I want to suggest that everyone sits back in their chair for a few minutes, enjoy your morning beverage & “Relax” by Frankie Goes To Hollywood – cheers!
