Good Morning Everyone! This is the last West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week for the first month of 2009 & January has flown by like it’s’ nobody’s business.

With this month flying by and so many many great things that happened in such a short time and even more paramount things getting ready to happen this year – Moby just kept coming to mind.

I had the honour of being introduced to Moby back in ’91 and was inamourate of his music, creativity & artistry since then.  For me, this year is about inspiration, beauty, love, kindness, peace and harmony and I can think of several songs by Moby that encapsulate this – but I really liked how this next video had a similar theme to the Oceanlab video I shared with you on New Year’s Day.

This next song is Whispering Wind by Moby & I think you’ll really dig it.  So sit back in your chair, take 6 minutes out of your busy schedule to reflect on all the blessings you’ve been offered as the ethereal music of Moby helps your day start off on the right track – cheers!

Good Evening Everyone!  We have some HOT HOT HOT NEWS!  Our close friend & world renown wedding photographer in Florida; Scarlett Lillian is hosting a HUGE workshop next month in Las Vegas.  A select few will be able to join Scarlett in Vegas for a hot night shoot at WPPI!

Here’s a quick note from Scarlett:
I had so much fun last year shooting a sizzlin’ bride and groom session in the glamorous lights of Vegas with Ross of Flosites.com and his bride Leysa, and this year, I want to give you the same opportunity for some rockstar portfolio pieces too! For those attending WPPI this year, I’m hosting a stylish photoshoot in Vegas again. Lyndsay, who won my “I Want to Spend A Day With Scarlett” contest will be the model with her hot husband as we shoot around the city that never sleeps!

To join in on the photoshoot, the session fee is $199 and you’ll shoot on Monday, February 16 at 7pm. To sign up, send Scarlett an email at scarlett@scarlettlillian.com! This a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE event, and WILL sell out, so by emailing, you are agreeing to reserve your spot by paying the registration fee!

One of the sponsors, Pocket Wizard, will be at the workshop filming an exclusive BEHIND THE SCENES video of Scarlett and all of you participating in the workshop! So bring your inner rock star and get ready to be on camera! Seriously, you won’t want to miss this!

One lucky winner will get a chance to win a FREE spot in the workshop, so let’s do another CONTEST!  The winner will ALSO win a pair of Pocket Wizards, AND the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners will all win a Trendy Camera Strap, AND if that’s not enough – Kerry and I through Camera Dojo are tossing in some Powertools & Dojo Wedding Tools Lightroom presets! Whew Hew!!

You guys got so creative with the “I Want To Spend A Day A With Scarlett” contest, but this time, let’s call it, “I Want To Shoot With Scarlett in Vegas!”

Here’s the scoop (aka; THE RULES):

1. You have to be in the pic. You are welcome to have others in the picture as well!
2. The pic has to say somewhere “I Want to Shoot With Scarlett In Vegas” whether holding a sign or photoshopped or whatever.
3. Get creative as you want, and try to tie in something Vegas into it! You can dress up like Elvis, or reenact Britney’s quickie Vegas wedding, or show me your winning hand at poker, or whatever you want!
4. Once voting is opened up, you will want to blog/Facebook/Twitter about your contest entry and direct people to come vote for you here on my blog!

Because WPPI is quickly approaching, the DEADLINE for contest entries is next Monday, February 2 when the Finale of my video blog premieres!! Then we’ll have my blog readers vote on the winning photo to award the winner! There is limited availability for the workshop to keep the group intimate for learning and getting the best shots, so for those interested, go ahead and sign up now, and if you win, I’ll refund your session fee!

And a HUZZAH to these amazing sponsors! Check them out!!!

Good Morning Everyone!  This week’s Wedding Tip Of The Week is brought to you by our great friends over at Elegala.com.  They have some terrific thoughts on what to consider when (or if) you decide to go with a wedding planner.

We know from experience of working with various wedding planners that a great one will turn your wedding day into bliss as you release the reins and stress of your day to someone else.  We’ve even partnered with Linda at A Wedding Store & she’s will make sure that every detail of your wedding is met all the while giving you the freedom to enjoy your day.

So without further ado, here’s the information & have a super week – cheers!

Thinking of Hiring a Wedding Planner? You’ve Got Plenty of Options…

While many orchestrate entire affairs from start to finish, professional planners can facilitate in a number of capacities.  Costs vary: Some charge by the hour and others charge a flat fee depending on how much help you need.  Get more information on budgeting for a wedding planner here.

Here’s a simple breakdown of the various types of professional wedding planning services:

Full Planning
Extremely busy? Not too detail oriented?  A full-service wedding planner may be your savior.  A complete planning package can handle every last detail—from finding and securing your reception site and vendors, to negotiating and coordinating payment, to ensuring the big day progresses flawlessly.

Partial Planning
Sure, you’re resourceful – but who couldn’t use a little handholding and advice along the way?  With a partial planning package, the planner offers assistance and guidance as needed. You remain hands-on, doing much of the research and decision making on your own.

Week of/Day of Planning
This is a great option if you prefer to plan everything yourself but want a pro on hand to tend to last minute details—so you can relax and enjoy your day as the guest of honor.

A la carte Services
Stumped on invitations? Looked everywhere for that perfect band? Many planners offer a la carte services to suit your specific needs.

Good Morning Everyone! On the dawn of a new era, I wanted to share some toe-tappin, hip-shakin’, groove-makin tunes from a hot UK artist hailing from Glasgow and Manchester. Today’s West Coast Wednesday is brought to you by Uniting Nations and the song is “You and Me.”

Very fitting for everyone that feels like the past 8 years have been challenging and the sight of hope ahead looks dim. But when we all band together & put aside our differences, positive things can happen.

So without further ado, I give you Uniting Nations and have a super West Coast Wednesday – cheers!
