Good Afternoon!  I just got in from photographing a very special birthday.  It was for my “Uncle” Art at my Sister’ Tawnya & Kurt’s house in Huntington Beach.  But this wasn’t just any birthday for Uncle Art – it was his 90th Birthday!!!!  Lot’s of his family came in from all over the country to celebrate with him today.

We had tons of food, a bit of a history/geneology review from Me Mum, water pistols & water balloons too!  Some of the water balloons managed to get lobbed over the house & land on a few people in the backyard.  I wasn’t any part of it (hee hee hee!).   But I can say that it was really funny on the side of the house that they were being launched from!

Here are a few of my favourites from his 90th Birthday.  Have a super weekend – cheers!

Good Evening/Morning Everyone!  I just got in from spending   a 12 hour day with Xochilt & Cesar on their wedding day today.  You might remember Xochilt & Cesar’s Photo Booth / Engagement Shoot we recently did over at L7 Studios with one of our Associate Photographers; Kerry – which was total blast.  And, today was just the same, but WAYYYYYYY more   of it.  :-)

Their day started out at Xochilt’s mom’s home in Santa Ana, where she and her beautiful attendants all got ready.  The minute everyone was perfect, we shot out to The Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton – where Duane & his impeccable staff were prepared to meet every imaginable need that Xochilt & her friends and family would need.  I truly love coming back to The Muckenthaler every time – not only because of it being a wonderful location, the beautiful surroundings and the opulent view, but I had my own wedding there too.  It truly holds a special place in my heart on so many levels.

Their wedding was a picture perfect mass that had such heavenly back light which created some amazing portraits.  After their ceremony and some traditional and classic formal portraits, Xochilt, Cesar & I were able to do a bit of an “encore” shoot and we captured some of the most beautiful signature Artistic & Romantic portraits on The Muckenthaler’s great lawn & stairs in front.

The reception was filled with a mariachi band, covered with a tent and chandeliers and a candlelit table for their beautiful cake.  As Albert & the team from Elegance Elegancia DJ & Lighting Productions kept spinning – Xochilt & Cesar’s party of about 150 guests went on until the late hours of the night to the point where Xochilt & Cesar did their best to escape and get on to their honeymoon – but not without much fanfare!

Here are a few of my favourites from their incredible day.  I hope you enjoy them as much as we did capturing them – cheers!

Good Evening!  I just spent a fantastic evening in Laguna Beach with a couple that I have had the honour of getting to know very well over the past few months.

Six months ago – back in January, we received an email from Angela inquiring if we were available for her wedding on June 20th this year.  She was referred to us from our good friend; Reverend Michael and we were very excited to let her know that we could provide her with our signature Artistic and Romantic portraits for her wedding.

Normally this would be a “simple” process as we would meet with Angela & Brian at their home, review all the wonderful details of their wedding and go from there.  But, meeting with Angela & Brian would have been a bit of a road-trip as they’re from Cleveland, Ohio – so that was slightly out of the question.  :-)

This may have presented a challenge for some, but we’re avid users of all methods of current technology – so Angela and I were able to chat via IM, phone and Instant Message on our mobile phones.  The world is a much smaller place and because of that, Angela & I have become very close friends during the process!

Their wedding took place at Crescent Bay Park in Laguna Beach during the sunset and everything about their special day was picture perfect.  Here is just a few of the many wonderful Artistic & Romantic portraits we did over the course of their wedding & we hope you enjoy them as much as we did capturing them.

Have a super weekend & stay cool – cheers!
