katiedaneng1002.JPGSome days are great, some days are incredible and then there’s today. PERFECT! I had the honour of closing out my day doing Katie & Dan’s engagement shoot at a little known bay in Laguna Beach.

We met in downtown Laguna Beach and then headed to one of my favourite beach locations in Laguna Beach. Katie & Dan had a particular photograph that they wanted to achieve and with the perfect sunset we nailed the “work” photograph and then had all kinds of fun in the crisp water.

We were at times nearly knee-deep in the cool fall Pacific Ocean waters having fun & I just laid back behind my lens & watched the both of them have a great time.

Here are some of favourites from the photoshoot. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed photographing them – cheers!

andersonsantos1006a.JPGUnder the sea…. that’s where I want to be! Ok, I really wasn’t this afternoon, but it was the colour theme & the theme for RuthAnn & Christopher’s wedding. They were married at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Norwalk for a small attendance of 100 for their ceremony.

RuthAnn was a stunning bride that just made the room light up when she entered it. And, her smile would warm up even the coldest politician! Christopher is a very lucky man & I’m sure when the time comes, they’re going to have absolutely beautiful children.

After the ceremony, we had a little pinch of time to do some more commercial/fashion styled portraits outside & around the church and I think that they’re amazing!

Here is just a very small sample of the how beautiful their day was – cheers!

I love traditions! I’m 3rd generation off the boat of English & Italian ancestry & when I’m at a wedding that is steeped in traditions, I really get excited. Patricia & William had their wedding at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Culver City, which from the outside doesn’t look like much. But when you walk inside, it’s filled with stained glass, beautiful carvings & statues and deep, rich wood pews. Absolutely beautiful!

Their colours were black & red and just popped in all of the pictures that we did after the ceremony. Patricia & William snuck in pleanty of kisses too in-between portrait sessions!

At the reception, they had a mariachi band playing through the night and delicious tequila party favours that were in 6 different flavours from Mexico. Their cake had baby roses cascading down the side of it. Like I said, beautiful!

Thank you for the honour of being such an integral part of your day & here are a few samples that I think you’ll enjoy – cheers!

gilldougherty1003.JPGDon’t you love the Deja-vu feeling!?! It’s crazy sometimes. I knew as I was driving into San Juan Capistrano this evening that I had been here before, but never made the connection when I chatted with Elizabeth & David. I didn’t realize it fully until I stepped into the El Adobe Restaurant De Capistrano only to remember that I photographed Randi & Mike’s wedding last year! CRAZY!

Elizabeth & Mike brought the best group of friends with them for their day & their family is truly wonderful. We all had a blast through the formal portraits as they did their best “Blue Steels” and watching David give a little bit of icing back during the cake cutting got everyone cheering!

Here’s a few of my favourites from the day, I hope you enjoy – cheers!
