“Love comes in all shapes sizes and forms” David Esquire

Good morning from Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Photographer who’s totally honoured to share a very special day with you.

As I’m sure you’re aware, I capture quite a few photographs around the world from; Engagement Shoots, Portraits and Weddings for some absolutely incredible couples.  And, when I say a lot, I tend to capture between 325,000 & 375,000 photographs each year that are truly important & timeless to me and my clients.  So when I received a phone call from Monique & Cesar that her Grandfather; Mike had passed on and they wanted me to document the celebration of Mike’s life, I couldn’t help but to say yes for them.

Monique & Cesar and their family & friends are very special to me as I have photographed Monique & Cesar’s Engagement Shoot, Wedding, Birthday Parties and several other events over the years.  In a way, I’m their family photographer documenting their lives & then the honour of photographing Mike’s Celebration of his Life was such a beautiful yet bitter/sweet day for their family and monumental for me.  Especially since I only photograph celebrations of life for people who are very close to me.

I could go on & on about the day sharing a small variety of words with you, but since one photograph contains a thousand words, I’m going to let you experience the day with a beautiful slide show I’ve put together with a few of my favourite photographs from the day.

But before you scroll down to check it out and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I hope you’re having a great start to your week and stay tuned for some amazing events that I’m sharing.  From San Diego to Newport Beach, Ventura and all the way out to Berlin, Germany – I’ll have more fantastic Weddings, portraits and events that I’ve had the honour of photographing – cheers!

UBER PS!!!  The awesome rock star Client Concierge; Linda & I have been putting something together that is probably one of the BIGGEST THINGS this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer has EVER done in nearly 29 years.  I can’t say more yet, but let me just go on record & say – that if you’re getting married & love instant gratification – you will WANT TO KNOW about what Esquire Photography IS DOING!

Good morning from Newport Beach at Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!

I’m one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who is totally flattered and honoured to share a VERY powerful note I received on my Facebook Page recently from Amy & Ron about a very special photo I captured with them and Amy’s Grandparents.  In fact, this photo happens to be the LAST photo of Amy’s Grandmother before she went home and passed away over this weekend.

If you were keeping up with my social media updates on Sunday either on TwitterFacebook, or Google+, then you more than likely know how passionate I am about photography.  In fact, I truly believe in my heart to it’s very core that photography can change the world.  If you are thinking how that can be, let’s examine a short list of emotions that are produced when looking at just one photo:

  • Happiness
  • Joy
  • Anger
  • Motivation
  • Calmness
  • Peace
  • Heartache
  • Positivity
And so much more!  Here’s a LINK to a photo that I know changed the world.  Tell me looking at that photo it doesn’t instill one or many emotions in you and with that thought – think of all the people who were motivated to Change The World after seeing it when it happened.  Indeed ONE photograph of a man standing in front of a convoy of tanks can AND did CHANGE THE WORLD.

With that said, here is what Amy had to say about not only the photograph of her Grandmother, but about her experience working with me; David, a professional Newport Beach Wedding Photographer.  Or as I like to call myself; “A guy with a camera.”

TOTALLY WONDERFUL & AMAZING & I’m completely moved by it.  In fact, when I received the note from Amy & Ron – I sent a note to Kristine letting her know that I was in tears reading it.  Definitely a comment I won’t forget for the rest of my life.

NOW for the Wedding Cautionary Tale.

I just shared on my myriad of social media platforms a couple who received some absolutely horrendous photography from their wedding vendor.  Here is a LINK to the story online and a LINK to a discussion on my Facebook Fan Page.

That’s pretty intense!  A couple paid hard earned money to a “professional”  photographer who should have been able to deliver to them an amazing experience and even more importantly at the end of the day; incredible photography they can cherish and share with their family for the rest of their lives.  There are NO re-takes on your wedding day.

If you’re wondering why I included this in a testimonial, it’s quite simple.  Which experience would you rather have?  Granted not all cheap photographers are going to do that, BUT there is something to be said when you hire the best you can afford and someone that has the experience to deliver the goods when thrown into any situation.

Or to mix it up a bit, who’s fault was it?  The photographer who delivered what they were capable of (which I could stand up on my soap box all day about) or the couple who hired them knowing what the photographer could deliver (OR was deceived into thinking they could deliver).  My thoughts are it’s both.  Harsh?  Yes.  But it’s a real situation that unfortunately happened and I wanted to share a real answer to a real question.

So I really want to drive home the importance of doing your homework when hiring your professional photographer.  Make sure you hire one that has the experience, technical know-how, gear and above all – a personality you’re going to enjoy working with for a deal of time.  I know that I am an “acquired taste” of a character/person who wants to laugh, giggle and cry with every one of my couples at each & every wedding.  From the minute we meet up to the end of the wedding day – I want to enjoy the wedding day as much as bride & groom did.  Why?  Because what I do is not a paycheck to me.  It’s my livelihood and more importantly to me; it’s your wedding & you deserve the BEST.  Period.

To wrap it up, I’m totally flattered by comments like this & it truly is one of the many reasons why I’ve been a professional photographer from Orange County/Los Angeles to Berlin, London and Paris, France for nearly 29 years (Yes, nearly three decades.  Crazy I know!).

With that said, if you or someone you know is thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Good morning from Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Wedding and Portrait Photographer who’s totally MEGA about sharing tonight’s Temecula Engagement Shoot I recently photographed with Denise & Miguel.

As I’m sure you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook, this year is already bursting at the seams with Engagement Shoots, Portraits and Weddings I photographing from Newport Beach down to San Diego and all the way up to Ventura.  There has also been the absolutely AMAZING Valentine’s Day Promotion I ran through the ENTIRE Month of February taking 50% OFF all my services and my International Workshop in Berlin, Germany (ANOTHER one is being announced VERY soon in the country of ______. Stay tuned!).  So to say that 2012 is off to an incredible start would be very much spot on!

Now that you have an idea of a couple of the many things going on at Esquire Photography HQ in Newport Beach so far in 2012, I have to share Denise & Miguel’s story and their absolutely incredible & romantic Engagement Shoot I recently photographed with them in Temecula.  Trust me, it’s definitely one you’re gonna say…  NO WAY!

A few months ago, Denise, Miguel & I got together at Kean Coffee in Newport Beach to schedule their Engagement Shoot.  All of us were totally jazzed about their Engagement shoot – one of the things about their shoot for me were their horses we were going to include.  Now their horses are not just any horses, they have been featured in photos with a very amazing musician and artist.  I’m sure you probably have heard of this artist too.  I know my rock star Client Concierge & former client of nearly 10 years; Linda has and if you are a fan of W Magazine then you would have seen their horses featured with…  MADONNA.  How COOL is that!!!

Since their horses have been featured with Madonna, Linda obviously was going to be coming with me on the photo shoot and I was so happy she was too – as it gave her an opportunity to have a bit of a break in her insanely busy calendar I put her through.

So when the day of their Engagement Shoot rolled around a few weeks ago in March, Linda & I met up with Denise & her stylist; Nicole at Tom’s Farms in Corona, where we all loaded up on caffeine & picked up some breakfast for everyone back at the location for the photo shoot.

Once we got to the location Denise finished getting ready, Miguel went to get their horses prepped for the shoot and eventually the magic started to happen.  From the relaxed & fun photos to my Signature Romantic Portraits – their entire Engagement Photo Shoot was beyond any words that could even begin to describe the experience.

I could go on & on about the shoot, but it wouldn’t even come close to what is in store for you in the slide show.  I know you’ll see the love they have for each in the small collection of my favourites from their Temecula Engagement Shoot.  One thing is for sure, this was merely a taste of what’s to come for their wedding in Costa Rica this December, which I’m sure will be just as amazing.

So if you’re thinking…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) who loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

I hope you’re having a great week and stay tuned for TONS of amazing events that I’m sharing.  From San Diego to Newport Beach, Ventura, all the way up to Oakland AND Paris, France & Berlin, Germany – I’ll have some fantastic Weddings, portrait photo shoots (like Emma’s Model Shoot in Paris, France) and events that I’ve had the honour of photographing.  Cheers!
