Good morning from Sweet Potato Pie central; Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who is about to share with you the totally over the moon romantic wedding of Rebekah & Chris.  And, when I say “Over The Moon” – you’ll soon know what I’m talking about.

With all the exciting Engagement Shoots, Portraits and Weddings I’ve been capturing photographs of from Newport Beach down to San Diego and all the way up to Oakland – Rebekah & Chris’ San Diego Wedding that I had the honour of being the photographer for was beyond what anyone could expect.

When I first arrived at the Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club, the staff, family & friends of Rebekah & Chris were all abuzz at the property because the entire city of San Diego, parts of Mexico and Arizona had a complete power failure that day.  The first question I was asked by everyone was; “will I have enough light & will I be ok to take photos?”  My immediate response was absolutely & my question in return was; “Does this mean they’re going to have a candlelit wedding reception?”  When I was told yes – I immediately burst out with a “HECK YEAH!” because candlelit weddings and receptions are totally gorgeous.  Plus they’re a very expensive upgrade – which Rebekah & Chris got for free by default.

And gorgeous their wedding was!  Rebekah was absolutely stunning in her Oleg Cassini wedding gown from David’s Bridal.  She also had “something old & blue” – which was a hand made hankerchief & she wore her mother’s earrings.  The wedding was filled with a gentle watercolour light from the sunset and the reception was candlelit, lending to an intimate and incredible experience for everyone at the same time.

The common thread nearly everyone said they loved about Rebekah & Chris’ San Diego wedding was that because there was no music & the typical events (garter & bouquet toss, games, etc.) that are associated with a wedding reception – everyone was able to chat all night and enjoy each other’s company.

So to see the delighted faces on nearly everyone at Rebekah & Chris’ wedding day – was so awesome!

ALSO!  Because there was no power and there was nearly a full moon out, I was able to capture probably some of the most MEGA EPIC Signature Night Romantic Portraits of Rebekah & Chris.  Let me just go on record & say they totally OWNED their portrait shoot!!!

I would like to say thank you to Michael, Aubree & Jessica at the Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club too – who led a brigade of professionals making sure Rebekah & Chris’ San Diego wedding was absolutely perfect.  You guys totally rock!!!

I’ve put together a beautiful slide show of just a few of my favourite photographs I captured during Rebekah & Chris’ San Diego Wedding at Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club below.  But before you scroll down to check it out and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.  Perhaps you’re a fan of Nachos & Newcastles (like Duran Rex and I) and if so – we could always meet at Fred’s Mexican Cafe on Main & PCH in Huntington Beach.  They’re awesome there!

PS, Check out this awesome quote I shared on Twitter keeping the “Butterfly Effect” moving forward – spreading positivity.  It’s a totally new one & I really think it is so very true.  “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves” -Shakespeare AND “We are all made of stars” -Moby.

Good afternoon from Monster Zero amped up Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who is MEGA excited to share a totally sexy and romantic Los Angeles wedding I recently had the honour of being the photographer for at UCLA.

With all the exciting Engagement Shoots, Portraits and Weddings I’ve been capturing photographs of from Newport Beach down to San Diego and all the way up to Oakland – this particular wedding that I’m sharing of Kristen & Michael is one of the most sassy, sexy and romantic weddings ever.  I would even go so far as to say their photographs look like the cover of fashion magazine.

I met up with Kristen and her ladies in waiting in their hotel suite at the Hotel Angeleno which is a totally amazing art-deco property with killer views and incredible customer service.  Kristen was absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero wedding gown while her ladies were dreamy in their Alfred Angelo dresses.

We had spent some good times chatting it up and joking around while they were putting the finishing touches on their hair & makeup but eventually I needed to meet up with Michael & his men to capture some EPIC GQ portraits of the guys.

Once their photographs were a wrap, we headed to UCLA for Kristen & Michael’s wedding ceremony.  Which I really want to say – the church at UCLA toooooootally reminds me of Westminster Abbey in London.  It’s gorgeous!  Their ceremony was perfect, the classic and timeless portraits I photographed of them and their family were stunning and the playful & whimsical portraits I photographed with Kristen were a blast.

Once we rocked the traditional and artistic portraits with the bridal party – that was when things were taken to the HNL with Kristen & Michael.  They allotted a HUGE chunk of time for me to photograph them in so many romantic and passionate portraits, they would easily have dominated on the cover of Vogue or W in a heartbeat.

Their reception rocked the night away with an awesome garter toss, a smash-free cake cutting and tons of timeless moments with their friends & family.  Their Los Angeles wedding at UCLA was definitely a dream come true for everyone that attended!

I’ve put together a beautiful slide show of just a few of my favourite photographs I captured during Kristen & Michael’s Los Angels Wedding at UCLA below.

Good evening from Orange County everyone!  I’m a totally excited (and stillllllllllllll caffeinated. HeHe!) Newport Beach Wedding Photographer right now!

As I’m a few emails & getting my gear ready for an annual holiday portrait for a family that I’ve been working with for nearly 13 years, I just had to share a note on Facebook I received from Emma Baldwin (one of the two awesome bridesmaids with the blonde hair) about her sister’s San Diego Wedding I recently had the honour of being the photographer for.

I am really humbled with notes like this and my couples really inspire me to continue to be a wedding & portrait photographer from Newport Beach & Huntington Beach to Los Angeles, San Diego, London and more for nearly 30 years.

Check this out – I love it!

Good afternoon from Esquire Photography in Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who gorgeous and romantic San Diego wedding I recently had the honour of photographing at the Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club.

With all the exciting Engagement Shoots, Portraits, Quinceañeras, and weddings happening from Newport Beach down to San Diego and all the way up to Oakland – ChanDra & Kadrom’s wedding is a day that I kept getting emotional about when I was editing their wedding photography because everyone was so open & free with the love they have for one another.

ChanDra was completely radiant in her gorgeous wedding dress with a 3 foot train and Jimmy Choo shoes.  She & Kadrom who was decked and comfortable in his jacket-less tux from Men’s Wearhouse also were wearing custom lavender coloured Chucks.  Awesome!

Their wedding ceremony was filled with gentle laughter & tears of joy in the summer light.  Some of the tears were from me when ChanDra’s father who officiated the wedding ceremony said; “It takes three seconds to say I Love You, but it can take a lifetime to show it.”  Can I say Wholly Nachos & Newcastles!

But once they jumped the broom and we captured a fun collection of traditional and staged portraits from my new photography “assistant” in the wedding party (he knows who he is and he totally rocked!), I was able to capture some of my Signature relaxed and romantic portraits with ChanDra & Kadrom.

Looking back, ChanDra & Karom’s wedding was the perfect setting for me to capture classy, romantic and timeless photographs.  Plus!  Getting to know ChanDra & Kadrom before the wedding as well as we did really made things much more relaxed for everyone and added that much more fun to their wedding day.  Definitely a creative person’s dream come true!

I would like to give a shout out to Michael, Aubree & Jessica at the Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club too – who led a brigade of professionals making sure ChanDra & Kadrom’s San Diego wedding was absolutely perfect.  As ALWAYS you guys rock!!!

Good morning from Orange County everyone!  This is one Newport Beach wedding photographer just hear from Duran Rex, who said he wanted to share a Wedding Tip for his TRex Tuesday.  That, and he wanted to share one of his favourite photos from the Huntington Beach Photo Shoot of Sarah for her portfolio for The Ford Modeling Agency!

With that said, here is a Wedding Tip that Duran Rex wanted to share with you from Newport Beach.  He said that one of the biggest things that will always will get shortened dramatically – will be the timeline for your wedding photography.  You’ll want to treat your wedding timeline with almost the same zeal and somewhat twisted passion Gollum did for the ring in Lord of the Rings.

So!  If you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to learn more about how to save time, money & my sanity planning my wedding, totally check out my program; “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day” that’s been on break for the fall & winter season.  Or if you’d like to share some Nachos & Newcastles (My favourite snack!) and get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Have a great TRex Tuesday & stay in touch for some more absolutely incredible events that I’m sharing this week.  From San Diego to Newport Beach and all the way up to Oakland – I’ll have some fantastic Weddings, portraits and events that I’ve had the honour of doing the photography – Cheers!

PS, If you haven’t already seen on Twitter & Facebook the two very HUGE announcements I shared last weekend – check this out.  One is the Military Promotion that launched last Saturday.  I had the honour of giving it to Ali & Justin when I was up at Edward’s Air Force Base with both of their parents location scouting and going over details for their Lancaster Wedding Day I’m photographing next August.  The other HUGE announcement I shared is the Workshop I’m teaching with my good friend & fellow photographer Danny in Paris France.  So if you’re in Paris over Christmas break, totally let me know because the workshop is very affordable & only 100 Euros per person.

PSS, Here’s an awesome quote I recently shared on Twitter that I think helps keep the “Butterfly Effect” moving forward – spreading positivity.  But!  This quote seems very dichotomous to what we’re programmed to think in today’s society.  Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished” Lao Tzu.”  I love it!  But more importantly – what do you think?  Slightly too forward thinking or too old school.  In a way, I like that it’s showing great things will happen an in their time.  Yet, the impatient part of me is programmed and wants it all yesterday.

PSS, Check out this awesome song from Duran Duran!  They’re doing a “Tune In Tuesday” and shared “Serious” from their “Big Thing” album.  Let Duran Rex know what you think!
