Good evening from Orange County everyone!  This is one Newport Beach wedding photographer that is avoiding the “naughty nutrition day” as I need to get back on track for a confirmed encore photo shoot of me by one of my best friends; John Remus.

You might remember the absolutely Amazing Portraits John did of me in Huntington Beach earlier this year that were also featured in his RAW Artists Gallery Show at the Playhouse in Hollywood up in Los Angeles.

Well… this week I’m gonna kick it up a notch again in honour of Esquire Photography’s official mascot; DRan Rex and take to the “HNL” as Eugene Struthers would say on MadTV.  If you’re wondering who DRan Rex is, he was totally busted hosting a photographer’s workshop yesterday here at EPHQ.  Check out this Photo I shared on my Facebook Fan Page last night.  He’s easy to spot in the photo with his sly grin on his face.  Of all the nerve!

Ok! If you may have seen yesterday or were chatting with me, I was calling yesterday TRex Tuesday.  Kinda in honour of DRan Rex and it being one more day closer to West Coast Wednesday. Which I might add was inspired by DRan Rex & yesterday being “TRex Tuesday” – RWARRRRRWW!!

All day I’ve been wondering what to share with you for a West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week & then it hit me.  DRan Rex and TRex Tuesday both have something in common.  They reminded me of the 70’s band; “T Rex” that made the original song: “Bang A Gong.”  Which was later redone by The Power Station with guitarist; Andy Taylor & bassist John Taylor from Duran Duran, Tony Thompson on Drums & the late Robert Palmer on vocals.  They were most definitely an epic lineup of talented musicians!

I’m sure you’ve figured out which song I’m sharing with you and it’s definitely “Bang A Gong” by TRex.  YEAH!

So!  Before you check out this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week inspired by Esquire Photography’s mascot; DRan Rex & TRex Tuesdays and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

So feel free to sit back with your favourite night cap “beverage” and enjoy getting your ears rocked a bit with some fantastic classic rock to wind down your West Coast Wednesday in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach or another part of this crazy world we’re all a part of.

Also remember to keep the “Butterfly Effect” happening and make it a totally positive one for someone else too – cheers!

PS, Here’s an awesome quote I recently shared on Twitter and I think helps keep the “Butterfly Effect” moving forward – spreading positivity.  “I never wanted to be a businessman, I just wanted to change the world.” Richard Branson  That’s a really profound statement to me, because I’ve always felt like that since a small child.  I’ve never just wanted to be a photographer, some guy with a camera.  But a person that can change the world & make it a better place.

PSS, I would love to share The Power Station video with you, but it’s blocked on You Tube, but totally click on this LINK and you can enjoy the music video on You Tube.

PPSS, The first two people to comment below AND correctly answer either one of the following two questions will receive The Power Station’s “Some Like It Hot” music video on iTunes from me.  And you can only answer one of them – not both, just in case you were wondering.  HeHeHe!

*  Question 1.  What is the name of the person playing the piano in the TRex video?
*  Question 2.  What is Duran Duran’s vocalist’s FULL NAME?

PPSSS, I have some absolutely amazing news & I will be featuring a new guest writer this week for the Wedding Tip Of The Week.  Stay tuned!!!

The Super PS, I’m still on the search for a couple TOTALLY AWESOME replacement photographers to join the Esquire Photography team in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, San Diego and Ventura.  If you or some you know understands the importance of wedding photography to brides & grooms along with a zeal for working in the wedding photography business, totally contact me ASAP.  Thanks!!!

PSS, Speaking of TRex Tuesday… The world famous DRan Rex was spied just a few minutes ago at EPHQ.  Check out this Photo I shared on my Facebook Fan Page a moment ago.  He’s totally busted – LOL!

Good evening from Orange County everyone!  It’s an exciting start to the week and this is one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who’s kicking it off properly with a family portrait photo shoot that is overflowing with love, laughter and colour.

I recently had the honour of being invited for an encore with the Hallmark family to capture their family portraits.  If the name; Hallmark sounds familiar, it’s because you probably remember Britney & Scott’s totally awesome Laguna Beach Engagement Photo Shoot we did on the beach at my “Secret Spot.”

Or perhaps their totally colourful, romantic & absolutely gorgeous Wedding I photographed at the Pacific Palms in Industry Hills.

Now fast forward a couple years and Britney contacts me to let me know she & Scott have a little Scooby Snack added to their family and they would like to do a large family portrait.  Of course I was ear-to-ear smiling and couldn’t wait to work with them and their family again.

When the day arrived for their photo shoot, we all met in Seal Beach in front of Bogarts Coffee on Ocean & popped down to the beach.  The weather was perfect, the sky was clear and we had the best time kidding around, laughing and really enjoying ourselves down on the beach.  Plus we were able to catch up a little bit too as it had been two years since we all saw each other at the wedding.

Before you scroll down and check out the fun slide show of their family portraits and you’re wanting an awesome experience with your Family Portraits like Britney, Scott and their family had for theirs in Seal Beach — and would like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (formerly a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Have a great week & stay tuned for more amazing weddings, portraits, photo shoots and parties I want to share with you that I photographed from Newport Beach, Orange County, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Ventura – cheers!

Good morning from Orange County everyone!  I’m a totally excited Wedding Photographer in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach right now!

It’s barely Sunday afternoon and I’m already charging after a very full Saturday photographing ChanDra & Kadrom’s San Diego wedding yesterday at the Fallbrook Wedgewood, a last minute meeting with a colleague from Beverly Hills at the Farmer’s Market in Los Angeles and then when I got back in at EPHQ around 10:00 p.m., I got a note from another colleague; Scott that he was in town, finished photographing his Huntington Beach wedding and wanted to get together & catch up.  He and I wound up hanging out at Fred’s Mexican Cafe on Main & PCH in Huntington Beach & did some people watching, while chatting till about 3:00 a.m.  What a day – whoa!

As I’m chipping away at my inbox that flooded with emails after the email migration with my hosting provider, I have to share an awesome testimonial from Adrienne & Jeremy about their Engagement Photo Shoot I recently did with them at the Montage Resort Laguna Beach.  Check this out – I love it!

“Sir David!!

You are so awesome!  We both love the video and pictures you put together.  We’ve both already been complimented on them too. :-)  I can’t imagine that this would have turned out so well and been SO much fun without you!  YOU are definitely the one taking things to the “HNL”…the HNL-X (Extreme!).  :-)

We can’t thank you enough for all the fun and captured memories!

Talk to ya soon!

Adrienne”

I am really humbled with notes like this and my couples really inspire me to continue to be a wedding & portrait photographer from Newport Beach, Huntington Beach to Los Angeles, San Diego, London and more for nearly 30 years.

Good morning from Orange County everyone!  It’s an exciting start to my “naughty nutrition day” and this is one Newport Beach wedding photographer who’s about to kick off the day properly with pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for breakfast.  Can I say YUM!

Last week was a totally client-inspired West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week from Adrienne & Jeremy’s Engagement Shoot at the Montage Resort Laguna Beach. It was a double feature with “I Wanna Be A Cowboy” by Boys Don’t Cry and “Cowboy” by Kid Rock.

Well… this week I’m gonna kick it up a notch and take to the “HNL” as Eugene Struthers would say on MadTV.  If you’re thinking you should break out the hair spray, blow dryers, teasing comb and spandex – then you are definitely heading in the right directions for today’s music.

I’m takin’ ya back to when music wasn’t loud enough, the hair wasn’t tall enough and the arenas weren’t big enough to hold the masses of fans that would attend the concerts.  I’m talking about Metal Music from the 80’s & 90’s!  The best way to get all agro and into the right mind set for the music is to quote the “Sexy DRex” and say: “RWARRRRWWWW!!!!”

Two of my favourite bands that come to mind are Def Leppard with “Pour Some Sugar On Me” (a TOTAL crowd favourite at wedding receptions, parties and clubs) and Slaughter with “Fly To The Angels” – another song that get’s the crowd singing & cheering.

Both songs are special to me, but one thing that is most important to me about the band Def Leppard is how they overcame massive adversity and were able to continue rocking arenas around the world.  There is a movie that was shown on VH1 back in 2001 about Def Leppard called “Hysteria.”  If you are a fan, or want to know more about the band totally check it out.

So!  Before you check out this week’s special, double feature West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week inspired by Adrienne & Jeremy’s Engagement Shoot tomorrow at The Montage Resort Laguna Beach and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

So feel free to sit back with your favourite morning boost of energy, er… I mean “beverage,” enjoy getting your ears rocked a bit with some fantastic metal and I hope you are having an awesome start to your West Coast Wednesday in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach or another part of this crazy world we’re all a part of.

Also remember to keep the “Butterfly Effect” happening and make it a totally positive one for someone else too – cheers!

PS, Here’s an awesome quote I recently shared on Twitter last night that I think helps keep the “Butterfly Effect” moving forward – spreading positivity.  “I never wanted to be a businessman, I just wanted to change the world.” Richard Branson  That’s a really profound statement to me, because I’ve always felt like that since a small child.  I’ve never just wanted to be a photographer, some guy with a camera.  But a person that can change the world & make it a better place.
