Good afternoon everyone!  I am one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer that is behind the computer today at EPHQ wrapping up some finishing touches on a couple weddings and portrait shoots and have a really awesome Oral Surgeon team in Huntington Beach that I’m excited to share with you.

Back in January I needed to have all four of my wisdom teeth taken out and my dentist in Huntington Beach referred me to an awesome Oral Surgeon not far from the old EPHQ in Huntington Beach.  There was only one condition though.  I reminded my dentist how much of a seriously big baby I am about dentists and oral surgeons.  He of course knew all too well and referred me to Dr. Simona Arcan and her dynamic team.

Fast forward and not only was my experience with Dr. Arcan and her team amazing – filled with kindness, patience to answer all my questions and put me at ease (gave a “thumbs high” when I woke up after my procedure), I invited her to be a guest speaker on my program; “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day.” and also able to photograph her new location and team.

Her program episode is going to air during the fall/winter schedule.  I guess in a way, “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day” is on “Summer Break” while I’m photographing weddings every week from Newport Beach to San Diego, Ventura and Northern California — but totally check out a snippet from her bio.  She has a seemingly endless list of accomplishments, experience and education.  Check this out!

“Dr. Simona C. Arcan, D.M.D., M.D. specializes in facial reconstruction and has extensive experience in minimally invasive esthetic procedures such as: Botox injections, the use of dermal fillers and laser treatments for facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Arcan is Board Certified with the American Board of Maxillofacial Surgery. Currently she is on staff at Health South Surgery Center of Huntington Beach and Long Beach Memorial Hospital where she is also on the Cleft Lip/ Palate Team.

She is a member of the national, state and local medical and dental societies, President of the Board of Directors of Harbor Dental Society, as well as the medical director of Skin Savvy Medical Group, Inc.”

Whoa!  And, that was just the tip of the iceberg too!

Before you scroll down to check out some of the portraits & fun we were having and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves being a photographer for now more than 28 years from Southern California to London, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Also remember to keep the “Butterfly Effect” happening that I love to share on my West Coast Wednesday Videos Of The Week (This week’s WCW had a bonus!) and make it a totally positive weekend for someone else too – cheers!

PS, Here’s an interesting take on the world as a quote I shared earlier on Twitter from the TV program; Ally McBeal that I’ve been listening to while in post on Hulu:  “The world is no longer is a romantic place.  But some of it’s people still are however. Therein lies the promise.”

PSS, I want to give a shout out to Hair Comes The Bride for arriving early to make sure Dr. Arcan’s makeup was flawless and her blonde locks were perfect for her portrait shoot and to record her program episode.  Hair Comes The Bride worked with me on WeTV‘s “My Fair Wedding” with David Tutera on Shelby & Matt’s Wedding & you may remember Gina from her Episode on “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day” too.

Good afternoon everyone!  I am one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer that’s super excited to be heading out later to see Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows, Part 2 in DBo Seats at the Ultraluxe Theatre at the Anaheim Garden Walk near Disneyland with a past groom turning into a BFF; Lee.

You might remember Lee from the epic Pasadena Engagement Photo Shoot, or his Los Olivos Wedding with Anna Marie at the Firestone Vineyard up by Solvang which was even featured in Professional Photographer Magazine from the PPA.  In fact… their wedding photography was so incredible that I even used a beautiful portrait for my current Two-Page Ad in Ceremony Magazine or more recently their fun Maternity Photo Shoot in Anaheim Hills.

I have a seriously catchy song & bonus to share with you for this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week!  The group is Duck Sauce -an American-Canadian DJ duo consisting of Armand Van Helden and A-Trak. The duo are signed to Fool’s Gold Records.  Here’s a snippet from Wikipedia too:

“In the summer of 2010, Duck Sauce released a track called “Barbra Streisand”, named after the singer of the same name. The track heavily samples the 1979 song “Gotta Go Home” by Boney M, which itself is based upon the original tune “Hallo Bimmelbahn” by the German band Nighttrain. “Barbra Streisand” was first played at Miami Winter Music Conference 2010, and gained heavy DJ and radio support in the UK and Ireland, Germany, Norway, Austria, Poland (Polskie Radio 4), France, Finland, Romania, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka. In Australia, “Barbra Streisand” was first heard on the radio station Triple J while in New Zealand it made its debut on Auckland student radio station 95bFM.

So!  Before you check out this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

So without further ado, I give you Duck Sauce with one of my favourite songs: “Our Lips Are Sealed” from Newport Beach for today’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

So feel free to sit back with your favourite afternoon beverage or lunch (I’ve got my coffee & Monster Zero!), enjoy Duck Sauce’s infectious tracks and have an awesome West Coast Wednesday positively in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach or another part of this crazy world we’re all a part of.

Also remember to keep the “Butterfly Effect” happening and make it a totally positive one for someone else too – cheers!

PS, Here’s an killer quote I shared earlier from Reverend Run from Run DMC:  “Being stressed is just a signal telling you to slow down! Stressed is Desserts spelled backwards.” More dessert please!

PSS, In tribute to seeing Harry Potter tonight, I’ve also included my favourite THX introduction with The Simpsons.  I saw it once in the Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood & the theatre turned it up about as loud as it seems in the THX video.  Enjoy!!!

Good afternoon from a Carmageddon-Free Orange County everyone!  I’m down here behind the Orange Curtain in Newport Beach and I have a really fun Laguna Beach Family Portrait Photo Shoot to share with you!  Bur first, can I just say; “Yay Caltrans!”  I’m one happy Wedding Photographer that is stoked for people were able to use the 405 today as Caltrans actually got it right and one better – finishing early yesterday.  Awesome!

Ok…. Back to this totally awesome family portrait photo shoot to share with you!  I recently was contacted by the Amador family to do a very special family portrait photo shoot.  When we were planning the shoot, the location that they wanted to have it at was on the beach at The Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, and what could I say but… heck yeah!  Laguna Beach is gorgeous, The Montage Resort is beautiful and of course – our world famous Southern California sunsets make for the best portraits ever in the entire world.

We kicked off their family portraits right down on the sand doing some timeless and classic portraits.  We did pretty much every imaginable combination of the portraits too – which made it really fun & started to get things going.  But….. eventually things really got ramped up with a ginormous family pyramid, some base jumping in the dark with a midnight blue sky in the background (one of my favourites!), playing in the water and we even took the one of my signature self portraits to the HNL.  We were able to get all of us in the portrait to rock our best Zoolander; “Blue Steels” and had room to spare.  Go figure!

So I’ll pretty much wrap it up & say that if you’re a family that wants to not only have a blast like we did for their Laguna Beach Family Portraits at The Montage Resort or any other beach in Orange County and beyond – but also be able to share with your family and friends some of my Timeless, Playful and Casual Portraits – feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Without further ado, enjoy a few of my favourite portraits from their Laguna Beach Family Portrait Shoot on the beach at The Montage Resort & I hope you’re having an amazing and “Carmageddon-Free” start to your week – cheers!

PS, I shared a really inspiring message on Twitter earlier tonight & in case you missed it or don’t follow me on Twitter, here’s a little something that Oprah’s World said earlier today:  ”A person can succeed at almost anything for which they have unlimited enthusiasm.” Charles M. Schwab.   I think there is some powerful truth in that quote.  What do you think?

PSS, Speaking of Carmageddon, I also wanted to share a website that has some great tips on how to deal with driving in and around Los Angeles along with a ton of vendors helping the public get through the experience with discounts, events and great ideas on how to come together socially.  It is Car-Mageddon and it’s awesome!

PPSS, I’m also the furthest south down in Newport Beach and… the ONLY photographer participating with Car-Mageddon!  I’m still taking $405 OFFany Wedding Photography package until the end of the month.  The $405 off applies to anyone here in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, San Diego or even out of town.  So if you know anyone that is getting married and wants to save some $$ on their wedding photography, have them contact me ASAP because this is only available until July 31st.

Good Afternoon!  I’m down here behind the Orange Curtain (Orange County or “Iron Curtain” for some) in Newport Beach and I have a really fun Engagement Shoot to share with you!  If you’re here in Southern California I hope you were able to avoid the “Carmageddon” that seems will actually finish early later today.  Yay Caltrans!  I’m one happy Wedding Photographer that is stoked for people that need to use the 405 for work, school or both.  Very Cool!

Today I have got a really playful and fun Engagement Shoot that I recently photographed of Nicole & Mark at the Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.

Nicole & Mark are having their wedding this summer at the Fallbrook Wedgewood down by San Diego and one of the things that they’ve invited me to do is their Engagement Shoot.  As we kicked around some various options that they liked, Union Station in downtown Los Angeles seemed to be a fantastic marriage of urban architecture, timeless romance and an opportunity for all of us to get to know each other better.

The three of us had a great time during their Engagement Shoot as we strolled around some of my favourite spots I love to capture photographs at and we even were able to sneak in a few portraits on the platform upstairs as we waited a bit for the train to leave.  I have to admit though every time I say the word; “Platform” – it reminds me of Harry Potter and my trip to London England for Erin & Philip’s Engagement Shoot.

So I’ll pretty much wrap it up & say that if you’re an Bride or Groom that wants to not only have a blast like we did for their Fullerton Engagement Shoot at the Fullerton Arboretum – but also be able to share with your family and friends some of my Signature Romantic, Playful and Casual Portraits – feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Without further ado, enjoy the delicious treat of a few of my favourite portraits from their Los Angeles Engagement Shoot at Union Station & I hope you’re having an amazing and “Carmageddon-Free” weekend – cheers!

Good evening from Newport Beach everyone!  I am one super excited Wedding and Portrait Photographer right now.  So many awesome things going on that I don’t know where to start.  From Part II of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows starting tonight in just over 3 hours to tonight being the eve of the dreaded “Carmageddon” for us here in Southern California.  That combined with all the post production I’m doing in between shoots, emails, phone calls, meetings and the occassional 2 to 5 hours of sleep I’m getting every night – I’m just totally amped to share with you. :)

Today I have got a really colourful and fun Engagement Shoot that I recently photographed of Adrienne and Matt at the Fullerton Arboretum.

Adrienne and Matt are going to be having their wedding this winter at the Fallbrook Wedgewood down by San Diego and one of the things that I’m doing with them was their Engagement Shoot.  We had chatted about what they would like, the fun they share together and enjoy being outdoors too and the one location that kept coming to mind for their Engagement Shoot was the Fullerton Arboretum, which was quite literally… Perfect!

We had a total blast during their shoot!  From the intimate and romantic portraits of them together, to the playful shots with our new duck friend that just couldn’t sem to get enough of them near the pond – it was a perfect morning with them!  What’s great too – is that I got a taste of how much fun they are and I’m soooooo totally looking forward to more of it at their wedding.

So I’ll pretty much wrap it up & say that if you’re an Bride or Groom that wants to not only have a blast like we did for their Fullerton Engagement Shoot at the Fullerton Arboretum – but also be able to share with your family and friends some of my Signature Romantic, Playful and Dreamy portraits – feel free to get in touch with me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Without further ado, enjoy the delicious treat of a few of my favourite portraits from their Fullerton Engagement Shoot at the Fullerton Arboretum & have a fantastic Baby Friday – cheers!

PS, I shared a really inspiring message on Twitter earlier tonight & in case you missed it or don’t follow me on Twitter, here’s a little something that Oprah’s World said earlier today:  ”Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.”  I like that & can totally believe in it.  Nothing more like nails on a chalkboard when I hear someone say “I’m trying my best.”  Uggghhhh!  So what does that mean?  Is the person not doing their best?  They’re only sampling their best?.  What do you think?

PSS, I also wanted to share a couple of websites with you that will help in dealing with the upcoming “Car-Mageddon” that is looming upon us here in Southern California THIS WEEKEND starting tomorrow; Friday, July 15th through Monday, July 18th.  These two websites have some great tips on how to deal with driving in and around Los Angeles along with a ton of vendors helping the public get through the experience with discounts, events and great ideas on how to come together socially.

Check out:   The Carmageddon Resistance (http://beatcarmageddon.com/) and Car-Mageddon (http://car-mageddon.com/cmg/Home.html).  They’re both on Facebook & Twitter as well – sharing all the awesomeness that the people and businesses in Southern California are doing to help each other prepare and get through next week.  If you have any ideas, totally be sure to share them here on the website or on my Facebook Fan Page orTwitter as well.

PPSS, I’m also the furthest south down in Newport Beach and… the ONLY photographer participating with Car-Mageddon!  I’m getting crazy and taking $405 OFF any Wedding Photography package (not applicable to other discounts).  The $405 off applies to anyone here in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, San Diego or even out of town.  So if you know anyone that is getting married and wants to save some $$ on their wedding photography, have them contact me ASAP because this is only available until July 31st.
