Disneyland + San Diego Wild Animal Park + Amazing Backyard + 12 Hours On A Sunday = Amazing Engagement Shoot

Good morning from Huntington Beach everyone!  Have I got the mother load of all Engagement Shoots to share with you.  If you were following my Twitter and Facebook updates back on August 8th, then you would have seen how insane my calendar was for Shelby and Matt’s Engagement Shoot.  And it was sooooooooo totally worth it!

So what do you do with 12 hours for an Engagement Shoot?  Quite a bit actually.  Shelby & Matt’s Engagement Shoot kicked off at Disneyland, where we were able to stroll around capturing some fun and playful portraits at some of their various favourite spots.  And!  We got on the Jungle Cruise – where Matt proposed to Shelby.

Then, we headed over to Disney’s California Adventure where their photo shoot started to take on a different direction as they were rockin’ the more avant garde posing for their portraits.

We hit several of my favourite spots in California Adventure and I even came up with a really cool black & white portrait that took us a few minutes to capture with the traffic that kept passing us.  I’d tell ya, but that would take all the mystery out of the fun location.

After all the fantastic photos we did at Disneyland were wrapped up, we grabbed a couple of treats for the road & hopped on the highway to the San Diego Wild Animal Park.  I’ve never been to the San Diego Wild Animal Park & I would have to say that it totally reminded me of one of my favourite movies; Madagascar.  With all the animals we got to see in the background of some of the shots, the completely opulent views and the swarm of bees that we needed to move away from at one point.  The experience was amazing through and through.

As the lights were started to go down, we hit the road again & whipped up to Orange County to do the grand finale portion of their Engagement Shoot.  Or… should I say more like a sexy romantic portrait session under a waterfall!

Words really can’t describe how amazing their Engagement Shoot was, but I can definitely tell you that they set a new standard of romance and sexiness for portraits.  They took it to the HNL!
