Newport Beach Wedding Photographer UCI University ClubGood Evening/Morning!  We just got in from an amazing 12 hours of working with Rebecca & Andrew for their wedding today.  Our day started off meeting up with Rebecca at Class Act Salon in Huntington Beach.  There we all played around and mingled as we captured fun and relaxed candids of Rebecca and her entourage as they all had their hair and makeup done.

Once the ladies were finished we headed up to the Newport Beach Marriott Bayview to pick up a few things & off to the UCI University Club for get dressed, final touches & portraits.  I must say that the UCI University Club has to be one of the best locations we have worked at.  The UCI University Club is headed up by Ms. Cindy Lee and her highly-trained staff will meet each and every one of your needs and details for your wedding and reception.  If you’re looking for a fabulous location for your wedding and not have to worry about the timeline, or details call Ms. Lee at: 949.824.7961 or shoot her an email at: banquets@uci.edu.  You’ll be glad you did!

We took advantage of the buttery light that was coming through the trees that surrounded the property and photographed Rebecca & her court on the lawn for some Fun and Relaxing portraits.  Then met up with Andrew and his distinguished gentlement in the “study” for some Smart and Artistic portraits.  Andrew and his men were such great sports too!

The wedding was lovely with the sun setting in the background.  And, there was a bit of a smooch too as Rebecca and Andrew were heading down the aisle together during their recessional!

Rebecca and Andrew’s family portraits had a bit more of the traditional flair and after those were completed, was when the switch was flipped and everyone started to let their hair down for some fun during the wedding party’s portraits.  After we were able to dismiss the wedding party into the cocktail hour for drinks and hors de ovoures, Rebecca and Andrew had some quite time on lawn as I captured our Signature Romantic and Artistic portraits from a distance.

Their reception was flawless as Mr. Devin Christoper from Night Life Entertainment spun everyone’s favourites and kept the dance floor hopping mixing music.  And yes!  I did say mixing music as in one song into the next without skipping a beat!  It was so AWESOME to work with a DJ company that actually knew how to do more than stand behind a lot of really sweet equipment & press the green play button.

Here are a few of my favourites from their day & I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.  Have a great weekend & good night – cheers!

Good Evening Everyone! I just got in from the gym on my quest to lose all the wedding cake that stayed on my waist last season & had an email that just brought Katherine & I to tears. It’s from Erin’s mom about Erin & Philip’s Wedding on May 17th. Check it out:

“Hi David,

Just a quick note from the MOB. Erin and Phil are still enjoying Hawaii and I couldn’t let another day go by without letting you know what an awesome experience it was having you photograph their wedding. You seemed to be everywhere at once, yet never intrusive in any way, capturing big moments as well as little ones.

And Katherine… what a saint! She was the picture of calm, collected helpfulness in the midst of all our chaos.

If the few pictures you’ve put on your website are any indication of what’s to come… I CAN’T WAIT!! Your artistic genius is showing again.

And, by the way, LOVE the telephone booth shot!

Thanks to both of you,

Ann Consalvi”

This is an absolutely beautiful testimonial and means the world to us more than you can put a price on.

I hope you’re having just as incredible a weekend as we are – cheers!

Good Afternoon Everyone! Huge News!!! Our resident photographer; David Esquire was recently interviewed by the guys over at Camera Dojo to chat about various aspects of wedding photography.

What we thought was going to be a brief session rapidly became a lengthy 90 minute in-depth discussion about everything from techniques, contracts, workflow and so much more. Crazy!

They decided to break it up into a two-part series & here is the LINK to the first half of the Podcast on iTunes.

This is Part 1 & they’re supposed to launch Part 2 next week. Check back with us or send us an EMAIL & we can let you know when it is live on iTunes.

We hope you’re having a great weekend & stay in touch as we have some VERY EXCITING things coming up on the horizon – cheers!

Good Evening! We just got in from a very fun & creative Engagement Shoot for Xochilt & Cesar. We’re photographing their wedding coming up in June & they wanted to do something slightly different for their Engagement Shoot to tie in with a little something that they’re doing at their reception.

We all met at one of our Associate Photographer’s home studios; Kerry and that’s where the fun began. If there was ever a couple that could have a class on what to do with little to no guidance and instruction on how to create Fun and Romantic photos in front of the camera – Xochilt & Cesar would be the gurus.

In what seemed like a mere 15 minutes of shooting (was actually just under an hour) – we shot nearly 300 photographs and my side hurt from laughing so much as we all goofed around for some of the best Photo Booth shots you could imagine.

Here are just a few of my favourites from their shoot, check them out & have a super weekend – cheers!
