Good Afternoon! As I’m in post production this afternoon I received a wonderful email from Cara and her husband Eric for their Trash The Dress Shoot yesterday in Laguna Beach. Check it out, it’s wonderful!

“David, There is no one word that would express the experience we had yesterday with you and Kerry. Eric and I couldn’t have asked for more professional, enthusiastic, visionary, fun, and perfect photographers. Our Trash the Dress session is something that we will remember forever. I hope you had as much of a memorable experience taking the pictures as we did creating them! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job! We are ecstatic to see what all of our pictures look like because the few that you showed us were absolutely amazing!!! Thank you for your patience and dedication to the photo shoot!

Thatk you! We’ll talk to you soon. Have fun in England.

Eric & Cara”

Good Morning! It’s 2:1pinks.jpg6 a.m. & I just got in from an incredible evening with Katherine, my sister; Tawnya & her hunka, hunka burnin’ luv; Kurt. We were at The El Rey Theatre in Hollywood tonight for some Guiness & song with The Poxy Boggards and The Merry Wives Of Windsor to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

They held nothing back and performed some of their best from the past as well as tunes from their new album. A couple of crowd pleasers were My Bess and Nelly The Mermaid. And a new favourite of mine; Tender Love Ballad – AWESOME! If you enjoy great Irish/Celtic/Folk drinking music and good people then you would have had a blast last night.

The show lasted for just over 4 hours which was awesome! The Merry Wives Of Windsor kicked off the evening and then The Poxy Boggards took the stage as everyone in the theatre ran the bar dry of Guinness. Which is CRAZY!!! That would be like going to In & Out and they’re out of burgers. Whoever ran the purchasing for that day seriously goofed with the Guinness!

The show was topped off with an encore that brought the house down as the entire theatre sang at the top of our lungs; Aboard The Good Ship Venus and Drink Til I Die. INCREDIBLE!

Afterwards, the four of us all headed up the street to a Los Angeles legendary eatery; Pinks. The traditional line wasn’t as long as I’ve seen & been in before too. We only waited just over an hour for some of the most incredible junk food that you will experience.

Today has been a complete blast with Cara’s Trash The Dress Shoot In Laguna Beach and then tonight’s show. Absolutely Perfect!

Cheers!

Good afternoon from Huntington Beach everyone! I just got in from Cara’s Trash The Dress Shoot at a little secret spot that I like somewhere in Southern California that isn’t very busy and well known.

Cara called us a few months ago and after 2 reschedules because of weather & calendar changes, we hit the beach full steam ahead for an amazing shoot. Some brisk winds and puffy clouds in the bright blue world famous Southern California sky provided us the perfect backdrop for our classic artistic, relaxed and fun Trash The Dress portraits.

Cara’s husband Eric partook in the fun and the both of them were total troopers doing their best to tell themselves that it really wasn’t that cool out and it was a warm summer day. And being the type of shooter that I am, I was “almost” as soaked as them. Well… not quite, but it sure sounds good!

But before you check out Cara’s Trash The Dress Shoot and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer that loves 80′s music, fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Here are a few of my favourites from their shoot and I hope you enjoy them as much as we all did taking them. Have a super weekend – cheers!

juliachris1.jpgGood Evening! I just got in from an fantastic evening with Julia & Chris again. I did their Engagement Photoshoot back in February and tonight was an encore of a great time with an incredible couple.

I met Julia this afternoon at her suite that overlooked the ocean at The Hilton in Huntington Beach as she was getting ready for her wedding day. As she was having the finishing touches done with her hair and makeup, I was able to capture some artistic and romantic detail photographs of her dress & accouterments.

The sunset ceremony was held on The Crystal yacht in Newport Harbour which was breathtaking. After the ceremony we headed to the top deck for incredible portraits with the family & bridal party and afterwards down to the 2nd floor as the party kicked off!

Our evening didn’t stop on the boat. Once we docked back in port, all of us headed to The Hyatt for some night romantic portraits. Totally romantic & absolutely gorgeous!

Here is just a snippet of an incredible day. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them – cheers!
