Good evening from Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!

I’m still soldiering through all my correspondence after a massive week of shooting just over 8,500 photos for a High School in Orange County over the course of several days (one of which was 24 hours long), photographing Paige & Corey’s San Diego Wedding, stealing Kristine away for a 24 mini-break in Las Vegas on Sunday  & then getting over a nasty bug that took me down Monday & Tuesday (not Vegas related – hehehe!) – I just read an awesome email from one of the administrators at the High School about their Grad Night experience with me & Kathy & Nikki (and crew) at Activities So Cal.

Check this out!

“Nicolas had a few friends over and each one came up and said it was truly one of the funnest nights of their life…  EVERYTHING was Perfect Kathy and Nikki.. so thank you so much for making it a night they will never forget.

From the busees to the drum roll…to the break dancers, all the rides, perfect food, the lighting, the music… all of it….

It was a lot of hard work for everyone but now the grand finale… the PHOTOS oh my…. David you captured it all and such a true pleasure working with you.  You made this night so exciting for the kids and these photos will be saturating the parents home today.

Thank you so so much all of you!

Lisa”

Good afternoon from Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!

I’m back in from a lunch meeting up in Long Beach at the Crooked Duck and I am one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who’s totally excited to share with you Paige & Corey’s San Diego Wedding I recently photographed at the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa.

bur first!  If Paige & Corey sound familiar to you, then I’m sure you saw their romantic and relaxed Santa Monica Engagement Shoot I photographed with them recently at the Viceroy Hotel on Ocean in and down by the ocean as well.

So when their wedding day arrived, I knew it was going to be a blast.  Their gorgeous San Diego Wedding was beyond perfect.  From their romantic ceremony where Paige, my unofficial assistant, Flower Girl & wedding day BFF; Roxy and her ladies looked like royalty in their Bridal gowns from David’s Bridal & Alfred Angelo and Corey & his men were as crisp as a chip in their tuxedos from Friar Tux, to my Signature Romantic Portraits I photographed of Paige & Corey after the wedding ceremony and the relaxed & fun wedding reception where the videographer caught the first bouquet toss (LOL!) – their San Diego wedding was definitely an incredible day to remember.

I would like to give a personal Thank You to Aunt Claudia for making the candy dishes for Paige & Corey’s reception.  They were a perfect compliment to the event!  Also, I would like to say thank you to Jason Williams with JNL Recording Studio for providing the music for the ceremony, Ms. Valerie Miller with VIP DJ for keeping the wedding reception rolling smoothly and most definitely the uber-awesome; Tiana De Leon with The Exotic Green Garden – who led an brigade of professionals – making sure Paige & Corey’s San Diego wedding was absolutely perfect for me to photograph.  You’re totally amazing!

I’ve put together a beautiful slide show of just a few of my favourite photographs I captured during Paige & Corey’s San Diego Wedding at Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa below.  But before you scroll down to check it out and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookPinterest, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

I hope you’re having a Fantastic Friday and stay tuned for some amazing events that I’m sharing.  From San Diego to Newport Beach, Ventura and all the way out to Berlin, Germany, London, England and Paris, France – I’ll have some fantastic Weddings, trips and events that I’ve had the honour of photographing – cheers!

PS, Check out this awesome quote I shared on Twitter & Facebook keeping the “Butterfly Effect” moving forward – spreading positivity.  I really think it is so very true.  “All our DREAMS CAN COME TRUE, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney

PSS, There was even an awesome omen on Paige & Corey’s wedding day too!  When we were heading out to capture some romantic portraits on the beach, we bumped into a couple that was admiring them because they were married on the same day TWENTY YEARS AGO.  That’s totally cool!

Good morning from Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!

I’m one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who’s in between Grad Night’s & sharing Delicia & Allen’s San Diego Wedding I photographed on Saturday exited to share today’s MEGA West Coast Wednesday Wedding Tip Of The Week.

As I’m sure you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook I love being able to help brides & grooms save time, money, and their sanity planning a wedding and today’s wedding tips from GQ Magazine will be totally inspiring and help you Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day.

So for today’s wedding tips, Jon Wilde over at GQ Magazine shared some awesome tips on how to pick out the best ring for your soon to be spouse AND help you pick out the best ring that will fit just about any type of budget.  True, choosing an Engagement Ring can be daunting and really scary on the wallet.  But with the right information, I believe it’s going to be a lot easier and more affordable than you think.

Check this out!

You found your soul mate; now you just need to find an engagement ring that she’ll love for, oh, the rest of her life. No pressure. Seriously—once you figure out what she likes (with a little subterfuge), the rest is easy.

There’s bafflingly little useful advice out there about buying an engagement ring. Google mostly spits back websites that teach you how to become an amateur gemologist, and your best bud just keeps saying he might know someone who knows someone who can get you a deal on a diamond. (He doesn’t.) So we’ve assembled some hard-won wisdom that will help you get what you want—which, really, is all about what she wants—without getting suckered.

1. This Is Gonna Sting a Little
You’ll hear that you should spend two to three months’ salary on a ring, but that’s pre-recession talk. Be realistic: Start with four to six weeks’ worth of paychecks, and be prepared to drop a little extra if it’ll get you perfection.

2. Act Like a Cat Burglar
Don’t guess at her size—steal one of her rings to have it sized by a jeweler. While you’re in her jewelry box, take a few cell-phone shots so you can remember what she likes.

3. …Then Turn Her Friends Into Accomplices
Ask her pals (the ones who can keep a secret) if she’s dropped any hints—the type of metal, the cut of the stone, a designer she likes. Because she has.

4. Think of Yourself, Just This Once
She might want her wedding band to match her engagement ring—and some couples like their wedding bands to match, too. In other words: Know that if you get her a rose-gold band, you might also end up wearing rose gold.

5. Know the Rules of the Rock
You can get a quick education online about how gemologists grade stones, but after that, you need guidelines: For a diamond, avoid any color grade below H (too yellow) or any cut grade below Very Good (not enough sparkle). We’d choose a better cut and clearer color over more carats, but if she’s expecting a boulder, your choice is made for you.

6. Go Beyond the White Diamond
These days it’s cool to put some color on her ring finger; black diamonds, yellow diamonds, emeralds, and sapphires are all fair game as center or accent stones.

Three-Ring Circus

Now that you know what she likes, you can weigh your options.

Traditional: but With A Twist
There’s no shortage of designers doing stylish riffs on the classic rock-on- a-ring. You can go full bling with stone-covered bands, try a shape that’s more architectural or more hippie-organic, or even get her multiple rings that match—”stacking” is what the Vogue crowd calls it. Bonus: It’s fairly gentle on your savings account. (We won’t tell.)

Vintage: Embrace the Quirk
Your girlfriend collects vinyl and has a Pinterest page of Zooey Deschanel’s outfits? Then vintage it is. Just know that pre-1930s gems aren’t as flawlessly symmetrical as modern ones. “It doesn’t mean the stone is cheap,” says Henri David, owner of vintage-jewelry-packed Halloween in Philadelphia. “And yes, you can still get vintage gems certified [for insurance purposes].”

Custom: The Perfect Fit
If you like the designer but nothing in the display case quite nails what’s in your head, go bespoke. Tell the designer everything you can about your fiancée-to-be: her fashion style, her job, even her favorite season. “One of the best rings I’ve made was when a guy said, ‘My girlfriend loves spring,’ ” says Brooklyn jewelry designer Nora Kogan.

So there it is!

I hope that helped you out a bit and if you’d like to chat more because you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) for your wedding or event that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Good evening from Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!

I’m a Newport Beach Photographer who’s back in from photographing a pool party in Laguna Beach earlier and as I’m reviewing one more time the nearly 1,600 photographs I edited, I am excited to share with you Delicia & Allen’s San Diego Wedding I recently photographed at the Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club.

If Delicia & Allen’s names sound familiar, then I’m sure you saw their utterly romantic and sexy Temecula Engagement Photo Shoot I photographed for them.  Since their Engagement Shoot was totally incredible, I knew their San Diego Wedding was going to much of the same and more.

Their beautiful San Diego Wedding was utterly perfect.  Their sunset wedding ceremony was filled with tears of joy, their traditional family portraits were overflowing with laughter and all I can say is Delicia & Allen seriously rocked my Signature Romantic Portraits I photographed after the wedding ceremony.

Delicia was totally stunning in her personally tailored James Clifford couture wedding dress & veil, pumps from Nina’s shoes in New York, a San Diego Charger garter, Maid of Honour; Natalie’s rosary, and her father’s old medallion.  Not to mention how smashing Allen and his men looked in their custom tailored suits from Allen’s father; Victor’s Tailor Shop.

I would like to say thank you to Michael, Aubree & Jessica at the Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club too – who led an army of perfectionists – making sure Delicia & Allen’s San Diego wedding was absolutely perfect for me to photograph.  You guys totally rock!!!

I’ve put together a beautiful slide show of just a few of my favourite photographs I captured during Delicia & Allen’s San Diego Wedding at Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club below.  But before you scroll down to check it out and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves weddings & romance, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.
