Good afternoon from Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who has a totally romantic Newport Beach wedding I recently photographed at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort with Adrienne & Jeremy.

You may remember Adrienne & Jeremy from their totally amazing & romantic Engagement Shoot at The Montage Resort Laguna Beach I recently photographed with them.  It became clear to me during their Engagement Shoot in Laguna Beach how much fun their wedding day was going to be with all the fun we were having then (They sent me an awesome Testimonial too!).  So when their wedding day came around I knew we were all going to have a terrific time!

I met up with Adrienne at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach where Adrienne & her ladies were having some finishing touches for their wedding day.  Meeting up with my brides before the wedding is one of my favourite things to do because I’ll be able to meet her friends, some of the family and be able to photography some of the details of the wedding day.

Eventually I needed to leave the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach to meet up with Jeremy and his entourage groomsmen at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort to capture their photographs before the wedding ceremony.  And what a great time it was doing that!  Jeremy had put some time and thought into what he wanted to do for his portraits with his guys which was perfect as it mixed things up from the traditional to totally fun.

As with any wedding day, timing of the ceremony is absolutely key and it definitely was perfect at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort on their wedding day.  We had the most incredible sunset backlighting their wedding, lending itself to be the best backdrop for all the photographs I captured along with the portraits we did after the ceremony.  Speaking of portraits, Adrienne & Jeremy had allotted a sufficient amount of time for me to capture my Signature Night Romantic Portraits with them before we headed to the reception.

Their reception was held at the Back Bay Bistro where everyone had the opportunity to do some silly photo booth portraits, enjoy a delicious dinner and dance the night away.  I definitely can share with you that Adrienne & Jeremy’s wedding day truly was one for the books!

Good morning from Newport Beach at Esquire Photography HQ in Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who is totally excited to share Leticia and Frankie’s Santa Fe Springs wedding with you.

I capture a lot of photographs around the world from; Engagement Shoots, Portraits and Weddings for some absolutely incredible couples.  But when I showed up in Santa Fe Springs at The Clarke Estate for their wedding – I knew that Leticia and Frankie’s day was going to be truly special to me filled with laughter, tears of joy and romantic pauses for beautiful portraits.

If you’re not familiar with the Clarke Estate in Santa Fe Springs, check this out – it’s amazing!

The Clarke Estate was built as the home of Chauncey and Marie Rankin Clarke in 1919. A wealthy, socially prominent couple, they hired architect Irving Gill to build their country home on 60 acres of citrus groves in Santa Fe Springs. Gill built this elegant house in an unusual style for the era.

Using the feeling of Mediterranean and Mission Revival architecture, he designed this house without ornamentation. In describing his design philosophy, he wrote that architects “must have the courage to fling aside every device that distracts the eye from structural beauty.” As a result of his philosophy, he became one of the most influential architects of this century.

Completed in 1921, the 8,000 square-foot home is constructed of poured-in-place reinforced concrete. The home is built around a central courtyard edged with Tuscan-style columns and graceful arches. The Clarke Estate, like many Irving Gill buildings, has an exterior pergola (covered walkway), casement windows, cubist structure, concrete construction, and unadorned surfaces.

Totally awesome!  A historical building with classic appeal, romantic charm and a timeless beauty that will always be perfect for your wedding.

I would like to give a special thank you to Ms Claudia Grinstead who provided the beautiful harp music for the ceremony, DJ Javi who kept the reception rocking throughout the night and a special thank you to Ms. Tamra Cook, the Clarke Estate Event Specialist who orchestrated a completely flawless wedding day for Leticia & Frankie.

I’ve put together a beautiful slide show of just a few of my favourite photographs I captured during Leticia & Frankie’s Santa Fe Springs Wedding at The Clarke Estate below.  But before you scroll down to check it out and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.  Perhaps you’re a fan of Nachos & Newcastles (like Duran Rex and I) and if so – we could always meet at Fred’s Mexican Cafe on Main & PCH in Huntington Beach.  They’re awesome there!

Good evening from Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Wedding and Portrait Photographer who’s totally MEGA about sharing tonight’s Temecula Engagement Shoot I recently photographed with Delicia & Allen.

As I’m sure you’ve seen on Twitter & Facebook, 2011 was bursting at the seams with Engagement Shoots, Portraits and Weddings I photographed from Newport Beach down to San Diego and all the way up to Oakland.  There was even the Military Promotion that went on throughout the end of 2011 and the Workshop I taught with my good friend & fellow photographer Danny in Paris France.

AND, now the absolutely AMAZING Valentine’s Day Promotion I’m running through the ENTIRE Month of February taking 50% OFF all my services.  Totally check it out!!

Ok… Now that you have an idea of a couple of the many things going on at Esquire Photography HQ in Newport Beach, I have to share Delicia & Allen’s story about their Engagement Shoot.  Trust me, it’s definitely one you’re gonna say.. NO WAY!

A few months ago, we had scheduled a date to do their Engagement Shoot and all of us were totally jazzed to do it and I was really fired up Allen was going to bring his car to include in their portraits.  I totally get that too as I’m sure you’ve heard me go on & on about Rio.

Their day rolls up for their shoot & let me just say that well… one thing led to another with bad weather conditions, some of the worst traffic I’ve experienced ever in Southern California – taking nearly 4 hours to drive a 90 minute commute to the location, and by the time it was supposed to happen – the time & opportunity had passed.  For me, it seemed that the more I pushed harder & harder to get to them from the American Music Awards Pre-Party at Ben Kitay Studios with Kate Mesta, the worse the traffic got.  So at that point, I remembered what Albert Einstein said; “All great forces in nature & life will have equal and opposite forces working against it to keep it from happening.”  Of course, being a blonde it’s probably not 100% accurate word for word, but that is the message in it.

Since I’m a totally MEGA huge believer in things happen for a reason, I viewed all the opposition as a sign that when we did do their Engagement Shoot – it was going to be one for the books.

Fast forward to last Saturday when we all met up for their Engagement Shoot in Temecula and it was everything I could have dreamt of AND MORE!

From the casual and playful photos we captured at the entrance to a private country club, to the opulent photos with Allen’s sick ride and me nearly getting run over a few times laying in the street shooting (Allen is my hero & saved me from one of the drivers that got uncomfortably close!) – Delicia & Allen’s first 1/2 of their Temecula Engagement Shoot was a complete success.

For the second 1/2 of their Engagement Shoot, we hopped in our cars & popped over to a local mall with tons of incredible textures giving me an awesome and diverse collection of opportunities to capture some of my Signature Night Romantic Portraits of them too!  AND — Security didn’t give us any trouble either.  Can I say I love Love LOVE it!!!

Good afternoon from Orange County everyone!  I’m a totally excited Newport Beach Wedding Photographer right now!

As I’m knocking out a few emails & getting ready to share an awesome Temecula Engagement Shoot and a totally MEGA commercial and fashion shoot I recently photographed for Kate Mesta at the at Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and a private location with Darvoset, Markus Redmond, Boo Boo Steward from Twilight and several other cast members from Twilight – I just had to share a really awesome testimonial from Blythe & Moses’ Valencia Wedding I recently photographed.

I am really humbled with notes like this and my couples really inspire me to continue to be a wedding & portrait photographer from Newport Beach & Huntington Beach to Los Angeles, San Diego, London, Paris & Berlin and soon to be Costa Rica in 2012 (WHEW HEW!) and more for nearly 29 years.

Check this out – I love them!

“Hi David, Thank YOU so much for everything you’ve done for us! We downloaded all the photos a couple of days ago.  It’s remarkable just how many angles you captured.  It looked like you had 3 photographers working with you.  Moses and I got teary-eyed when we watched the slide show. :)

We’re touched that you felt the love at our wedding.  We were incredibly blessed that day, and you were a big part of that.  We want to thank you immensely for everything.  God has given you such a gift in the art of photography.

Thanks David!  God Bless you!

Blythe – The New Mrs. Norton :)”
