Good afternoon from super sunny & windy Orange County everyone!  I’m back in from running a few errands & this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who is MEGA excited to share a totally awesome portrait shoot I recently had the honour of photographing in Huntington Beach.

Before I share some Sarah’s story with you, I’ve got to share some more things that are happening in Newport Beach at Esquire Photography HQ.  Since I’m not only a caffeine addict, but also a Twitter & Facebook ‘aholic, you probably saw that I had two very HUGE announcements this past weekend.  One of which was the Military Promotion that launched on Saturday.  I had the honour of giving it to Ali & Justin when I was up at Edward’s Air Force Base with both of their parents location scouting and going over details for their Lancaster Wedding Day I’m photographing for them next August.

The other HUGE announcement I shared was the Workshop I’m teaching with my good friend & fellow photographer Danny in Paris France.  Can I just say; “Wholly Nachos & Newcastles!”  So if you’re in Paris over Christmas break, totally let me know because the workshop is very affordable & only 100 Euros per person.

Ok, now I have to share Sarah’s story with you about her Huntington Beach Portrait Photo Shoot we recently did.  A short while ago I received a call from my good friend; JT with Dance Masters about a friend of his who’s long time friend’s daughter; Sarah needs a photo shoot done for her portfolio for The Ford Modeling Agency.  A few phone calls, emails and an awesome meeting at Starbucks in Belmont Shore later – Sarah & I met up in Huntington Beach for her photo shoot.

I love photographing in Huntington Beach too.  I can pretty much capture everything from beach portraits to urban and relaxed portraits within one square mile.  Which was perfect for Sarah’s photo shoot too because we were going to do a few different looks.

Also, thank you Mindi “Cupcake” Combs for doing the hair & makeup stylings for Sarah’s portrait photo shoot.  You helped make her photographs amazing & it totally shows in her pictures!

AND!  The rockin’ Kristine, Jay, Brian & Lindsay from Darvoset provided a new song for Sarah’s photo shoot.  It’s one of my favourites that they recently performed and I’m totally MEGA excited to share it with you!

I’ve put together a killer slide show of just a few of my favourites from Sarah’s photo shoot in Huntington Beach below.  But before you scroll down to check it out and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to share some Nachos & Newcastles (My favourite snack!) and get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

I hope you’re having a great start to your holiday season & stay in touch for some more absolutely incredible events that I’m sharing this week.  From San Diego to Newport Beach and all the way up to Ventura – I’ll have some fantastic Weddings and events that I’ve had the honour of photographing.  And of course soon to come; the party at LA Fashion Week with the Kate Mesta Crew and the photo shoot of Sarah for her portfolio for The Ford Modeling Agency – Cheers!

PS, Check out this awesome quote I shared on Twitter keeping the “Butterfly Effect” moving forward – spreading positivity.  It’s a totally new one & I really think it is so very true.  “Ability is what you’re capable of doing.  Motivation determines what you do.  Attitude determines how well you do it.” — Lou Holtz.

Good evening from Orange County everyone!  The coffee pot is working overtime for this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who is super excited to share a totally gorgeous Ventura Wedding I recently had the honour of photographing.  As I’m sure you have seen – in the nearly 30 years of running the family business, 2011 is a record year of Weddings, Engagement Shoots, Portraits, LA Fashion Week, Quinceañeras, and so much more.

I recently had the honour of photographing Heather & Ryan’s Ventura Wedding at the Wedgewood Buenaventura and it was everything that a romantic and colourful wedding should be.  In fact, as I was putting the finishing touches on their wedding over the past week & reliving their day – I put a little extra Newport Beach Photographer mojo on some of my favourite wedding photographs.

From the moment Heather slipped into her wedding gown from David’s Bridal while Ryan & his entourage were getting into their Tuxedos provided by Men’s Wearhouse – Heather & Ryan’s Ventura was totally perfect.  It was also VERY sentimental too.  Heather’s wedding ring has the same diamond from her mom’s wedding ring, one of her bridesmaids; Crystal hand made Heather’s bouquet and there was also a United States flag pin on her bouquet too.

Everyone that participated in Heather & Ryan’s wedding day rolled out the red carpet & delivered the top shelf service too!  A Gift of Taste had a totally finger licking good wedding cake, Passion Flowers provided the floral arrangements for the wedding ceremony & once again, as to be expected – Sarah, Amy & the rest of the pros at the Wedgewood Buenaventura rocked their wedding day.

I’ve put together an awesome slide show of just a few of my favourites from their wedding day below.  But before you scroll down to check it out and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to learn more about how to save time, money & my sanity planning my wedding, totally check out my program; “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day” that’s been on Summer Break for the peak season.  Or if you’d like to share some Nachos & Newcastles (My favourite snack!) and get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Good morning everyone!  This is one MEGA excited Newport Beach Wedding Photographer in Orange County who is on a totally stoked to share an absolutely EPIC West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

Before I share today’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week from straight out of Orange County, I totally want to give you a taste of last night’s festivities at LA Fashion Week’s party with Kate Mesta.

In the past few days you may have seen some of my Facebook and Twitter updates that I was hired again by the amazing jewelry designer to the celebrities; Kate Mesta – who I had the honour of working with at the Oscars Party at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and of course the out of this world Los Angeles Portrait Photo Shoot that I did with UK model & actress; Jane Lavin and more recently LA Fashion Week.  So when I received a call from Kate’s publicist; Sondra that they wanted to hire me to capture the American Music Awards Pre Party on Saturday – I immediately said yes!

As if that wasn’t awesome enough, I was in Camarillo to photograph Amy & Ron for their totally gorgeous wedding at the Wedgewood Golf Club Sterling Hills.  You probably recently saw Amy & Ron’s Anaheim Engagement Shoot at Disneyland & Downtown Fullerton – which was totally amazing and just the tip of the iceberg of fun I had with them on Sunday.

Then that brings me to 48 hours ago on Monday with something that I was very happy to do.  While I’ve been putting in epic hours of post production working on more than 1/4 million photos to shrink the delay time from the AT&T debacle this fall AND shooting up to 4 days a week all over Orange County, San Diego, Ventura & more…  I received a note from Kristine from the mega awesome band Darvoset about a week ago they wanted to green light a photo shoot with me for some marketing materials for the soon to be released BRAND NEW CD and LIVE PERFORMANCE on November 29th at Slidebar in Fullerton.

Uhm… Hmm… WHOLLY EFFIN NACHOS & NEWCASTLES!

So after an awesome 10 hour day Monday returning as many emails as I could after being out of my office for nearly three days & nights straight and a meeting with Kate Mesta in Laguna Beach for a couple hours, I zoomed in Rio out to PRIMO Studios in Riverside to do a shoot with Darvoset.  To give you an idea of the experience, I shared a couple photos on my Facebook Fan Page.  There was a photography from the Portrait Session, a photograph of them Rehearsing and of course… a guest appearance from Duran Rex.  YEAH!

If you don’t know much about Darvoset, check out this bit from their bio, it’s awesome!  “DARVOSET are an Inland Empire, Los Angeles, and Orange County based band that plays Synth oriented rock music with powerful and sultry female lead vocals. Harsh, melodic, electronic rock that’s dark, energetic, sexy, danceable, funky, and very original.

The core of Darvoset has always consisted of JAY (synths, bass, guitars, lyrics) and KRISTINE (vocals, lyrics). Various members come and go, and BRIAN (keys) is the latest full time member of the band making Darvoset a trio… for now.  For live concerts, Darvoset hires musician colleagues to complete the sound laid down on recordings.  At the moment, GARRON GASH (guitar) and LINDSAY ROGERS (bass) join them onstage.

Darvoset strive to defy categories and blandness.  They do not want to be put in a box, labeled, and sealed away.  The best way to describe them is a “musical sponge.”  They soak up all that has been, mix it together, and spit it all out as Darvoset.  They love all kinds of music, and that’s evident in their diverse songwriting palette: classical, jazz, ragtime, and symphonic influences are easy to hear.  Not ignoring the rock era; such as 50’s piano based rock and roll; 60’s British invasion; 70’s disco freaks and punk looks/attitudes; 80’s new wave style and synth pop dance explosions.

Darvoset’s Sexual, jaded, metaphoric, sometimes screaming but still thought provoking lyrics twist on top of horror soundtracks set to hyper kinetic drum patterns-to make the future they want to hear.“

Now with all this said, it seemed only appropriate to feature Darvoset for this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week in a slide show I put together using some of my favourites from their photo shoot.

So!  Before you check out this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week and you’re thinking…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I hope you had a great TRex Tuesday yesterday & stay tuned for some amazing events that I’m sharing this week.  From San Diego to Newport Beach, Ventura and all the way up to Oakland – I’ll have some fantastic Weddings and events that I’ve had the honour of photographing.  And of course soon to come; LA Fashion Week, the VIP Party Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao had at The Supper Club in Los Angeles and the American Music Awards Pre-Party at Ben Kitay Studios with the Kate Mesta Crew – Cheers!

Speaking of Kate Mesta, I want to give a Shout Out & Thank You to celebrity designer Kate Mesta for providing the “One Of A Kind” original pieces of jewelry and wrist cuffs for Darvoset’s photo shoot.  Your immense passion & never-ending zeal for detail and excellence in your work provided the necessary accouterments to complete the look for the photo shoot.  You Rock!  XOXOXO!

PS, Check out this awesome quote that I shared on Facebook and Twitter.  I think it’s from Sam Walton (Wal Mart): “The price of excellence is discipline.  The cost of mediocrity is disappointment.” – William Arthur Ward.  Can I just say that’s MEGA awesome!
