Good afternoon & Happy TRex Tuesday from Orange County everyone!  I’m quite literally one totally MEGA stoked Newport Beach Wedding Photographer coming off of a creative high from the past 72 hours.

It started on Saturday photographing the American Music Awards Industry Pre-Party with epic celebrity jewelry designer; Kate Mesta.  Then there was Super Sunday up in Camarillo where I spent the day with Amy & Ron for their totally gorgeous wedding at the Wedgewood Golf Club Sterling Hills.

Which brings me to  yesterday where I spent about 10 hours responding to correspondence followed up with a meeting with Kate Mesta in Laguna Beach and then off to PRIMO Studios in Riverside – where I had the honour of photographing one of the HOTTEST bands in Southern California; Darvoset for their promotional materials and for the upcoming show at Slidebar in Fullerton.

You may remember Darvoset with them letting me license one of their songs for Amy & Ron’s Anaheim Engagement Shoot at Disneyland & Downtown Fullerton and also the Los Angeles Portrait Shoot I did with UK Model; Jane Lavin’s Urban Glam Portrait Shoot.

Let me just say that even with only 2 1/2 hours of sleep last night – I’m still energized and fired up from all the creativity flowing through me for three days.  From Los Angeles to Camarillo and Riverside and back here to Newport Beach – I’m definitely a psyched photographer who’s in awe of everything happening this year.

Ok, so I shared that whacky & fun photo of Duran Rex with me & some of the members of Darvoset on Facebook at last night’s photo shoot at PRIMO Studios in Riverside & Duran Rex said he had a TRex Tuesday Wedding Tip he wanted to share.  It was about hiring a wedding photographer & it’s very smart of him to pass this wisdom on to you.  Check it out!

Good morning everyone!  This is one totally excited Newport Beach Wedding Photographer in Orange County who couldn’t wait any longer to share Nancy & Edwin’s Engagement Party I photographed with them at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and Spa in Laguna Beach down in Dana Point.

Nancy & Edwin were how shall I say… the kind of couple that I would imagine every photographer dreams of.  For starters, they gave me a full TWO HOURS to do portraits with them prior to the party.  Can I say “Wholly Nachos & Newcastles!”  What a totally great opportunity to not be rushed for the portraits and on top of that – the area we chose at the St. Regis was totally empty – pretty much giving us an entire perfectly manicured location all to ourselves.  All of this combined with Nancy in her Nicole Miller gown and Edwin in his Armani suit – took the shoot to the HNL!

Once we wrapped their portrait photographs, it was time for their Engagement Ceremony on the lawn overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  There was a full gathering of about 200 of their friends & relatives from around the country.  Their ceremony was decorated exquisitely by Elegant By Design and White Flite had about 2 dozen doves to be released at the end of their Engagement Ceremony.

Also, can I just say that Ms. Kelly Odell and Gundula Reile and the rest of the entire team of expert professionals at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort orchestrated a flawless symphony of service perfection.  From the moment everyone arrived – to the last dance and relaxing on the back lawn enjoying cigars from The Cigar Guys – everything was perfect.  They even made sure the timeline was so dialed in, that there was a break in the night where I could invite Nancy & Edwin on the back lawn with their Mercedes Benz to do some of my signature Night Romantic portraits of them under the moon-lit night sky.

Good morning from Orange County everyone!  I’m one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who’s back in Esquire Photography HQ after an incredible three day marathon photographing Angela & Andrew’s Wedding Rehearsal & Wedding in Oakland on Thursday & Friday and then Adrienne & Matthew’s San Diego Wedding at the Wedgewood Fallbrook yesterday.

My system is done backing up just over 5,000 photographs from the past three days & I have another event that I’ve been eager to share with you.  Recently I had the honour of being invited to photograph Natalie’s Sweet 16 Quinceañera and Party in Long Beach.  It’s always awesome for me to witness families coming together celebrating life and seeing young men & women coming into age & oftheir own.

I met up with Natalie & her family at St. Athanasius Church in Long Beach which was a beautiful location filled with marble, stained glass and old world touches perfect for her ceremony.  After her ceremony, Natalie, her attendants and escort piled into the stretched Hummer Limo so we could go to downtown Long Beach at the lighthouse to do some fun portraits with the sun behind the lighthouse & then more playful portraits having them jump and run down the hill.

Natalie’s Sweet 16 Quinceañera Party was held at the Best Western Golden Sails Banquet Hall in Long Beach where Natalie, her escorts and about 200 of her friends & family to enjoy more of the celebration in a room decorated as it was a film strip from old world Hollywood movie glam.  She had a marrachi band, personally sang a song to her parents, ice sculptures and so much more.  Definitely a party fit for a princess!

Good evening from Orange County everyone!  The coffee pot is working overtime for this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who should be donning a cape and change my name to Super Post Production Guy.  As I’m sure you have seen – in the nearly 30 years of running the family business, 2011 is a record year of Weddings, Engagement Shoots, Portraits, LA Fashion Week, Quinceañeras, and so much more.

In fact, next weekend, I’m heading up to Oakland for Angela & Andrew’s wedding on Friday & then come back down to photograph Adrienne & Matt’s San Diego Wedding at the Fallbrook Wedgewood Golf Club on Saturday.  WHOA!

Recently I was invited into Martita & Miguel’s lives to photograph their Yucaipa wedding at her family’s home up in the hills.  To say that their wedding day was overflowing with love & laughter would only be touching the surface of their wedding day.

From the minute Martita slipped into her beautiful La Sposa wedding dress, to cutting the cake by Michelle’s Custom European Bakery in Redlands and all of us dancing the night away on the dance floor as DJ Albert from F.I.G. Productions spun the tunes – it was definitely an incredible wedding day for me to photograph.

Good afternoon everyone!  This is one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer who’s being a post production machine & has another amazing collection of photographs I captured in Orange County to share with you.

Last weekend I had the honour of photographing Ashley & David for their holiday portraits.  Their romantic portraits started in front of the Segerstrom Building at the Orange County Performing Arts Center and then at the garden across the street too.  David & Sheldon strutted in their custom tuxedos and Ashley rocked the “Audrey Hepburn Movie” she picked up at Bloomingdales in Santa Monica when we went Shopping a few weeks ago.  The Spirit of Duran Rex even made a cameo appearance as well!

If Ashley & David look familiar, it’s because you may have seen their photographs from their totally fun Disneyland Engagement Shoot where we met “King David” or their out of this world Monterey Wedding.  So to be invited to capture their Romantic Holiday Portraits for their Christmas cards left me with nothing more than to say; Heck Yeah!  :-)
