happynewyear.jpgI had read this before & wanted to share it with you for the new year.

Once I had a dream …

There was a world, and we all lived there, together. There was peace among all faiths, and all races; opportunity existed for all.

Everybody celebrated, celebrated the joy of their uniqueness. Sharing whatever they had with those who had need, without obligation.

Together we shared the planet that we were so blessed with. The environment was nurtured like a baby, protected from greedy users and abusers.

There was love there, love for every living thing. Understanding how creation of all life directly relates to us on a personal level.

Joy was daily ritual, joy for discovery of something new. Not a form of obedience or requirement, but a beautiful understanding of balance.

War did not exist, there was no need for a defense budget. We were all a part of the big picture; all people had a voice, we were important.

This was a world of honour, a world of Jesus and Mohammad, a world of LaoTsu and Buddha, where all paths have honour and validity.

Education was second nature, learning became a way of life for all people. Religion was not a means of onversion, but a method of discovering ones own path.

May the new year bring you: success in your business, sunshine in your love life, health in your physicality.

May your country bring you: peace in world relations, honesty in their rhetoric, openness in their policies.

May our educators bring us: freedom in our thoughts, knowledge of all things, lessons in how to think.

May you bring your world: integrity in your dealings, love in your friendships, beauty in your creations.

Once I had a dream…

We’re hitting the road tomorrow morning bright & early with my sister; Tawnya & some friends of ours to pile into a suite on the strip for massive partying, dining & who knows, maybe a try at good old Lady Luck. And, since we’re going to be there for her b-day, we’re going to celebrate LARGE & IN CHARGE for the New Year Holiday!

pictureline-postcard-11-29-07.pngNot too long ago, I received a call from one of my vendors; Pictureline.com. They were interested in seeing a photo or two for consideration to be used in an international ad campaign on their website, postcards and POPs in their brick store in Salt Lake City for their Pictureline community.

So I sent a couple of photos in & pretty much lost track of it as I burried myself in my last couple of events at the end of the year and wrapping up the post production for 2007 along with the last albums. Well I was just informed that one of my favourite photos from Becka & Mike’s Wedding back in August was used for their campaign! YEAH!

I love shopping from Pictureline not only for their selection, but their customer service rocks! When they founded pictureline.com as a website more than ten years ago, their goal was to promote photographers and their photography. And now they have worked hard to define a concept and design that meets the goals and the needs of photographers today. To that end, they have created a community in which they can promote our photographers and their work.

Check out the ad & check out their site – you’ll love it!

What a great way to start the holidays! It looks like Christmas came early for us – cheers!

esqducati.jpgThat’s right! The International Motorcycle Show made it’s annual appearance in the beautiful city of Long Beach! And it was better than ever! Too bad that the weather didn’t cooperate, because it was dreary & raining from time-to-time – so I didn’t ride this year. But I still went & had a great time.Pleanty of killer things to check out including… you guessed it – the NEW DUCATIS! Yeah! Totally Killer!

The new redesigned Monster (GROWL!), the 1098R; the fasted twin on the planet with a heart pounding 180 HP! I guess you would have to have a seatbelt to keep you on that when you rip from 0-60 in what feels like nothing flat. And a custom Monster as well, that looked like it would peel the asphalt off the road just when you would start the motor.

And, there were some amazing custom bikes in the extreme side of the event. Some old rides, new rides, and bikes that were built by hand from scratch. My favourite was the Crusader – deep maroon red with Excalibur swords for handlebars. Every detail was met for that ride and it drew quite the crowd as people snapped away with thier cameras.

What was the most unique thing about this year’s show, was that the weather was beautiful the next day & the red Ducati semi was shining at the entrance in the sun. So what did I do? What any other Ducatist would do. Stop, put my camera on a cone & take a snap in front of the truck with the Long Beach skyline in the background.Ride safe & keep the shiny side up – cheers!
