ep4.jpgI was recently interviewed by the folks at L7Foto.com. I gave some good tips and insight for beginning wedding photographers.

Be sure and check it out, it just went live online. Cheers!

  • kerryg - I am really thrilled you were able to take the time for the interview. Having worked with you a lot over the years, I knew it would be a great interview.

katiebdayblog1000.JPGI have been photographing Katie’s family since she was 2 days old & I am so honoured to have been a part of thier lives through the years. I photograph their family portraits, holidays, parties & more and it’s always just a blast. I always feel as if I’m a part of the family and it’s so great watching her grow up through the years.

Her birthday this year was a special one because it was on July 7th of 2007 – the lucky year for her! And the party was on Sunday the 8th so all her friends could be there (some of them had other parties to go to on Saturday the 7th). Her party was at home and the theme this year was all things Hawaiian. All her friends enjoyed the pool, the tasty treats, BBQ, ice cream cake and the inflatable water slide. Even some of the parents partook in the water slide and that was hilarious!

Here’s a few of my favourites from her day – cheers!

lisasamblog15.JPGThere were a lot of people buzzing about the lucky 7-7-7 date for weddings and I must say that not only were Lisa & Sam having an incredible day for their wedding, but so did I.

I was so blessed with such an amazing couple. So easy to work with, no high-maintenance attitude and an extremely loving couple toward each other and the people around them.

Their wedding was at the Wedgewood Country Club in Ventura tucked away behind scores of trees and farmland. The day started off a bit overcast & cloudy, but that all changed for the ceremony & the reception. We had blue skies, puffy clouds and a setting that was ideal for anyone getting married. You could even from time-to-time hear the faint “clink” of the irons on the golf course. Just perfect!

The ceremony and reception was filled with laughs, tears of joy & yearning and pleanty of great food & beverages. I am so honoured to have been a part of their day and I look forward to the many years with them in the future.

Cheers!

julieseanwed1002.JPGToday I had the distinct pleasure of shooting Julie and Sean’s wedding at Tortilla Flats at Lake Mission Viejo. Tortilla Flats is a romantic Spanish hacienda surrounded by lush tropical vegetation with a beautiful lakeside setting.

Not only was Julie angelic and Sean completely sharp, but the event catered to everything that they wanted and the details of the day were simply perfect.

The wedding and reception overlooked the gorgeous lake and the gentle breeze kept the evening pleasant after the summer warmth. And with the day buzzing with such a positive energy, the entire event was totally a photographer’s dream.

Here are a few of my favourites from the day – cheers!

April & Jason’s wedding was filled with fairy tale romance! April rode in to their lakeside ceremony at Paradise Gardens with a horse & carriage surounded by a beautiful tropical paradise.

Being at their wedding was like leaving the real world at the gates and entering a lush tropical setting that took your breathe away and ignite your imagination.

April & Jason gave you the experience of a little magic of being transported to their own slice of paradise. Julie’s attendants were escorted down the aisle with beautiful oriental paper umbrellas as their friends & family were perplexed with this dream wedding location.

I couldn’t have asked for a more incredible day to share with such an awesome couple – cheers!

  • MYV6PONY - Hey David,
OMG! I just found this about our wedding. I am so excited. Thank you for the wonderful comments…it really truly means a lot! I am so happy that we made an impression on you (for some it is hard to do espically since you do this for a living and see it every day). I can’t wait to share this with everyone.
    Thanks for the beautiful photos!
