Good evening from Huntington Beach everyone!  I’m one Wedding Photographer in Orange County that wanted to take a break out of my night as I’m preparing to photograph Lisa & Chris’ wedding up in Ventura tomorrow at the Wedgewood Buenaventura to share with you the video from the UK’s Photo Night Live program that I was recently a guest on.

If you’re not too familiar with Photo Night Live out of the UK, check out this bit from their website:

“Photo Night Live is a weekly web TV show from the UK that aims to pull together the photography community once a week with special guests from the photo world discussing a chosen hot topic.

The format is a little different to other shows.  We invite one Pro Photographer at the top of their game and one emerging photographer who you may not yet be aware of in order to get a really cool discussion from both ends of the professional spectrum.

Each 30 min show is designed to give the viewers an in depth view into the world of pro photography, whilst matching up names who you probably would not see anywhere else, engaged in discussion.  It also provides excellent exposure to the emerging photographer and allows them to showcase themselves to the wider community.”

The episode for photographers that I was invited to be on was all about succeeding as YOU!  Imagine that!  An episode where I’m able to help other wedding and portrait photographer around the world with some of my experience helping them be themselves in an ever growing and seemingly endless sea of photographers.

But before you scroll down to enjoy the episode with little ole me over at Photo Night Live and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer that eats & breathes; fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

Good morning from Huntington Beach everyone!  I’m super excited to share with you that this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer was recently invited to be a gust on the Papa Podcast to chat about the importance of Copyright.

My good friend & fellow photographer; Karlo Gesner heard me over at the [b] School talking copyright with the [b] ecker and really wanted to bring my message to his audience as well.

The hot topic of choice that Karlo knows I get really fired up about is Copyright.  We explored what it is, and what it means to photographers.  In this episode we answered those questions and talk about what copyright means to the artist, applying it to our own work, and respecting it in the work of others.

But before you check out the episode with little ole me over at Papa Podcast and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer that eats & breathes; fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Good morning from Huntington Beach everyone! Let’s say hypothetically this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer was on the race track with my Ducati Multistrada at about 160 miles an hour with my headphones on.  Being an adrenaline junkie, having raced my Ducati and had it up to 148 miles an hour, there’s pretty much one favourite song that comes to mind for today’s West Coast Wednesday Videos Of The Week.

That song is a classic guitar rock song by Bon Jovi; “Dead Or Alive.”  There’s something about it that just get’s the blood rushing, the hairs on the back of my neck standing up & the urge to go really fast.  And, not just really fast… BUT really Really REALLY FAST!

If you’re not too familiar with Bon Jovi (but I highly doubt that), totally check out this bit about their history.  It is totally the kind of life and success that only a few dare dream about and are bold enough to chase after.

“For almost three decades, Bon Jovi have earned their reputation on the road as ambassadors of American rock ‘n’ roll, performing for more than 34 million fans around the globe. Along the way, the New Jersey-based quartet – lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres – have racked up a stellar resume of career highlights and accomplishments worthy of acclaim and pride.”

You know what’s cool about their career!  Is that they’ve been rockin’ their dream for nearly 30 years like I have with my camera.  Except that they’re doing it with musical instruments!

Their story reminded me of something that I was thinking about recently in a discussion that I had.  I was told that I shouldn’t treat my business in the same manner that a large corporation does.  I would 100% unequivocally and wholeheartedly have to disagree with that.  All things and I mean all things in this world and in our lives began with an idea.

You know what’s great about an idea?  An idea can’t be killed, caught or forgotten.  The power of an idea can stand the test of time and will in one way or another be immortal.  People will kill in the name of an idea and people will die for an idea.  If that doesn’t ring true with everyone that has ever fought in the military fighting for things that we may take for granted like freedom.  Then what is an idea?

All great things in this world begin with an idea.  Here are some great things that began with an idea; Apple Computers, Albert Einstein’s theories, Jim Henson‘s Puppets, Pablo Picasso‘s Art, Annie LeibovitzHerb Ritts‘ Photography, and pretty much all things Duran Duran and the list goes on.  Perhaps this Story that I shared last Thanksgiving will help bring my point to clarity.

I find my inspiration when my ideals are challenged, when I’m in a zone behind the computer or camera fine tuning my art & craft and when I’m on my Ducati at high speeds and life is whipping past me.

What is your inspiration?  What is your idea that you’ve been sitting on & thinking about but need the courage to go out & do?  I have them all the time & constantly go go out do them.  Some work, some not so much & I fall flat on my face.  If you have an idea today, think of it as your next movement that can change the world.  Your life, your ideas and your individual genius is so totally worth going after – so go after it.

But before you check out this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer that loves 80′s music, fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebook, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

So without further ado, I give you Bon Jovi with “Dead Or Alive.”  So feel free to sit back with your favourite morning beverage and think about the last time that you got hyped up from some killer guitar rock & put that same energy into your West Coast Wednesday.

Have an awesome West Coast Wednesday and also remember to make it a totally positive one for someone else too – cheers!

PS, If you missed it on Monday, be sure to check out the award winning Reverend Michael Ahern on the latest episode of “How To Make The Most Out Of Your Wedding Day” – where he’s sharing some terrific advice on how to save some time, some money & your sanity planning your wedding.
