But with all the incredible events & photo shoots going on, receiving notes like the ones I’m about to share with you from Laura Dennis on Facebook about the REAL, Honest Hard Work it takes to succeed as a professional photographer, really keeps me inspired for nearly 30 years as a professional photographer.

I’m absolutely flattered by comments like this & it truly means the world to me being able to help my colleagues be inspired through my experiences and hopefully avoid the rookie pitfalls of being a professional photographer.
The crazy thing is, it takes more today to be a Professional Photographer than it ever has in it’s industry. I know, I’ve been in the biz for nearly 30 years. From marketing, to social media, editing, communication, and a myriad of so much more – what a professional photographer does is so much more than just showing up with a nice camera, snapping some photos & nothing more.
Plus, if you see a Professional Photographer making what they do look easy, it’s because they’ve pretty much mastered their craft. Just like any other industry – if it looks easy, it’s because of all the hard work it takes to get to that point.
