Good afternoon from EPHQ everyone!  I’m in the middle of editing Christin & Christoph’s destination wedding in Germany (here’s their totally romantic Portrait Shoot in Berlin!) and have VERY SPECIAL Wedding Tip to share with you from my good friend and Partner of Esquire Photography; Shelly at Simply Bridal.

This weekend Simply Bridal shared a totally wedding tip reviewing the history of Gay Marriage.  Check out what Shelly shared for you!

“Issues like equal rights and gay marriage are ever growing and developing, often with a long and detailed history of pivotal events behind them. To coincide with the new ruling against the Defence of Marriage Act (DoMA) in the U.S, we have created an up-to-date timeline documenting the LGBT community’s battle for equal marriage rights so far.

The U.S Supreme Court has recently attracted a lot of attention for its involvement in a movement of increasing momentum as, though opinions were divided, the majority ruled against a law defining marriage as a strictly heterosexual process, giving hope of more rights for many same-sex couples.

This is the latest milestone of a journey that dates back thousands of years, as our timeline shows; the fight is perhaps not over but another important step has been made as opinions slowly turn and support gathers. To those fighting for their rights, we salute you!

Due to the recent news, Simply Bridal has revamped our Gay Marriage Timeline for 2013, new and exciting changes are constantly occurring in the LGBT community. We are so excited to be covering it them, and reminding people of the long struggle for equal rights.”

Good morning from EPHQ everyone!  I’m in between editing projects along with Christin & Christoph’s destination wedding in Germany (here’s their totally romantic Portrait Shoot in Berlin!) and have an awesome Wedding Tip to share with you from my good friend and Partner of Esquire Photography; Shelly at Simply Bridal.

This week Simply Bridal has put together a totally great list of “Something New” for your wedding day.  Check out what Shelly shared for you!

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”.  This is another infographic in the SOMETHING series, and we couldn’t be more proud of it!

Our designer, Crystal, really put some glitz and glam into it.  Selecting your “blue” item is probably the easiest of the four, with endless opportunities.  The item could be anything, as long it’s got blue in it.

If your looking to put some color into your wardrobe, add a blue sash, or had your bridesmaids wear blue dresses.  Ask your grooms party to chose blue boutonnieres. There are a million more ways that you can incorporate blue; we’ve just organized the most popular ideas into one infographic!”

Good morning from EPHQ everyone!  I’m knee-deep editing Christin & Christoph’s destination wedding in Mirow, Germany (here’s their totally romantic Portrait Shoot in Berlin!) and have probably one of the best Wedding Tips to share with you from my good friend and Partner of Esquire Photography; Shelly at Simply Bridal.

This week Simply Bridal has put together an awesome graphic on how to change your name after your wedding day.  Check out what Shelly shared for you!

“So the wedding is over, phew… time to relax!  Oh wait, but don’t forgot you’ve just gone from Miss to Mrs.  It’s time to change your last name, there are so many important documents with your name on it that will need altering.  Make sure you have your Marriage Certificate before trying to make any leeway with any of the steps below.

One really important factor before changing your identification (drivers license or passport) is to make sure you wait until after your honeymoon or preplanned trips before changing these docs.  If you change it before your trip, the name on the official travel document and your identification won’t match.”
