Good afternoon everyone!  After attending last night’s party at LA Fashion Week with uber designer to the celebrities; Kate Mesta – I am Newport Beach Wedding Photographer in Orange County who is on a totally amazing creative high still and I’ve got a really fun video to share with you for today’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

Before I share today’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week from straight out of Orange County, I totally want to give you a taste of last night’s festivities at LA Fashion Week’s party with Kate Mesta.

In the past few days you may have seen some of my Facebook and Twitter updates that I was hired again by the amazing jewelry designer to the celebrities; Kate Mesta – who I had the honour of working with at the Oscars Party at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and of course the out of this world Los Angeles Portrait Photo Shoot that I did with UK model & actress; Jane Lavin.  So when I received a call from Kate’s publicist; Sondra a few days ago that they wanted to hire me to capture the party last night at LA Fashion Week, I couldn’t say anything other than; “But of course!”

To say that last night was anything short of incredible would not be enough.  I got a quick iPhone Photo with Boo Boo Stewart from Twilight while I was rockin’ my favourite jacket from SLS Distributors (I’m also Stefan’s Resident Photographer there – cool!) on the red carpet and because I just couldn’t hold back – I snuck in an Impromptu Photo Shoot with Kate & Sondra’s awesome kids; Makenna & Dylan.

Ok….. that’s enough of last night.  I don’t want to give it all away.  You’ll have to see all the fun we had in the photos I’ll be sharing.  HeHeHe!

The other day my sister; Tawnya (Here’s her awesome Sunset Temecula Wedding at the opulent Falkner Winery) shared the really fun video; “Sexy And I Know It” with me from LMFAO.  I pretty much didn’t know what to do while watching LMFAO’s music video.   Was I supposed to be like; “Oh no they didn’t!” or laugh my butt off or totally groove out to the song.  I think it was pretty much a combination of all three!

If you don’t know much about LMFAO, check out this bit from their bio, it’s awesome!  According to Redfoo, the duo are more than dance/pop music creators….they are scientific spinsters of a carefully crafted soundtrack for a new generation of global party people. Good evening from Orange County everyone!  About 6 cups of coffee later and a few meetings & phone calls, this is one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer that’s totally stoked to share another event with you.

A few years ago I had the honour of meeting Monique & Cesar to chat with them about their wedding.  The three of us were a total hit from the start and eventually I photographed their Los Angeles Engagement Shoot at Union Station & The Edison and shortly after – photographed their La Habra Wedding & Reception at the Westridge Golf Club.

Throughout the years, Monique, Cesar and I have totally kept in touch.  Monique has kicked off her new and thriving Event Planning company called; A Blissful Affair along with recently re-hiring me to be their Event Photographer for their Dual Birthday Party – which they celebrated at the same place they had their wedding at; the Westridge Golf Club.

At Monique & Cesar’s Birthday Party – I met Natalie who hired me to be her photographer for her Sweet 16 Red Carpet Masquerade Party and Laguna Beach Portrait Shoot  that I photographed for her just hours before meeting up with my friends; Carri & Kai for a surprise GTG at Club 1984.

The best way to describe Natalie’s Sweet 16 Red Carpet Masquerade Party is a kalidoscope of colours crashing into a celebration orchestrated by none other than the amazing Monique & Cesar with A Blissful Affair.  From the ceremony out on the lawn overlooking the pond and rolling hills to the red carpet entrance, candy bar, mariachi band and totally out of this world performances by the Bohemia Dance Company – Natalie’s Masquerade Party was everything a perfect event should be.

Plus!  I also had a great working encore with the pro trio of Paul, Ceff & Clyde from INSiTE Cinema – who hands down have got to be one of the best teams of videographers out there that I’ve had the honour of working with.

There’s a special shout out I want to give to my good friend Danny Mendoza who recently has moved to Spain doing what he loves; photography.  Danny was my 2nd cameraman and jokester for Natalie’s party and as to be expected – we both had a total blast working together.  This Christmas, we’re doing our best to GTG in Paris or London to do what we do best; nutrition debauchery with Nachos & Newcastles.  HeHeHe!  There might be some photography in there too.  LOL!!

Clinton Foundation.  There were absofreakinlutely ahhhhhhmaaayyyyyzeeeeeeng performances by Lady Gaga, Bono & The Edge from U2, Kenny Chesney, Usher & a LOT more!  I’ll have quite a few more to come – but totally check out my iPhone Gallery on Facebook.  I’ve got some fun photos in there and I was rockin’ my favourite jacket from SLS Distributors, where I’m a Staff Photographer and my new Tom Ford outrageously epic and totally huge sunglasses from a new business partner that I’m working with in Italy.  THAT is a great announcement coming very soon!

PSS, I also wanted to add that I’m a HUGE fan of the Clinton Foundation.  In today’s global society – it’s no longer a race, religion or political issue, but a human issue dealing with the challenges we face across the planet.  That’s my simple take on it, but a more elaborate explanation about the Clinton Foundation is this:  To alleviate poverty, improve global health, strengthen economies, and protect the environment by fostering partnerships among governments, businesses, nongovernmental organizations, and private citizens to turn good intentions into measurable results.  They’re DEFINITELY helping keep the Butterfly Effect alive & thriving!

Good morning everyone!  I am one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer in Orange County who feels like I should pay some level of respect to the passing of Steve Jobs, the late CEO of Apple for this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

Steve Jobs was more than everything he will be remembered for to me.  To me, Steve Jobs helped shape my world with the tools I use in my life.

To me, Steve Jobs did more than that.  Steve Jobs gave me hope.

Hope that one person can make a difference, hope that one person can change the world.

So with that brief thought that I couldn’t wait to share with you later – I leave you with this…

If you ever doubted one person could make a difference and change the world.

It’s time to change the way you think.  It’s time to “Think Different.”

If you’re asking yourself why or have any doubts…

This is the face of one man that did.

I really love the message in that commercial and I truly feel that we should all think about what the message is in it.  It’s about the “crazy ones”, “the misfits”, and more.  In a way, the commercial really speaks to me and I have a sneaky suspicion that it speaks to a lot of you as well.

So if it does, let’s celebrate our diversity, our uniqueness, our willingness to push the limit in the human spirit, our creative self and each other.  On top of it all, let’s be thankful that we all are different and that we’re looking to make things better.  Let’s be thankful that we don’t accept mediocrity, sloth and “middle of the road.”  Let’s be thankful that the driven and zealous mind and spirit will constantly seek to do better the next time, even if the next time is now.

PSS, I’m about to rock one of my Signature High Fashion photo shoots of Linda too.  I’ve got a couple locations in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach that I’m going to take her for her photo shoot.  She’ll knock it out of the park for sure!

Good evening from Orange County everyone!  This is one Wedding Photographer in Newport Beach was sooooooooo totally loving the gorgeous skies we had today.  It’s one of the best things I love about being “behind the curtain” in Newport Beach, or Huntington Beach or pretty much any of the other awesome beach cities in Southern California.

Over the years I have had the honour of meeting thousands of people.  All the way from San Diego to Seattle, from Chicago to New York, from Miami to London and even here in Newport Beach.  Well among my many travels and people I get to work with, I get to really know some of my clients really well.  One of which is Terri – my long time client turned “Dinner & Shopping” partner-in-crime to BFF over the past 11 years.

A few months ago when Terri went with me to see Curt Smith from Tears For Fears perform a private concert for Brit Week at the Whitefire Theatre when I got two free tickets from the British Consulate in Los Angeles – we inevitably turned it into a business meeting because she wanted to hire me to do portraits of her parents.

Fast forward after several emails, text messages, calls and even an outing in Santa Monica where I discovered my favourite mojito made with oranges & jalapenos – the portrait shoot of her parents came to life in Seal Beach.

Along with the classic green belt where Terri’s parents went for a bit of a stroll, I have a few secret spots in Seal Beach that I love to use and are totally perfect for doing portrait photography.  In fact, I had a few I really loved and wanted to share with you tonight now that I’ve finished putting on my Esquire Mojo on them.  I even used some proprietary techniques I’ve been working on this year to take a few years off along with enhancing the symphony of colours that were abundant that day.

Good morning from rain-soaked Orange County everyone!  This is one Newport Beach wedding photographer that’s doing his best to ward off & keep at bay whatever bug is going around.  If you saw my Twitter or Facebook note on Monday, then you saw that I was one photographer down & out in Newport Beach with a funky stomach.  Well… it’s back & reminding me that I’m human.  Ugh!

One thing it didn’t do was take away the thought of what I wanted to share with you for this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.  So take that Mr. Funky Stomach.  Muah Hah Hah!

That said, riddle me this – what do you get when you combine vocalist; Simon Le Bon, keyboardist; Nick Rhodes, drummer; Roger Taylor & Mr. “Play That Fookin’ Bass John!” bassist John Taylor?  Only the BEST band in the world.  Or otherwise known as Duran Duran.  Yeah!

(SPOILER ALERT! If you’re planning on going to see Duran Duran on tour this year.)

If you were at the Duran Duran concert last week, then you noticed they were one song short in their signature song list.  A surprise to several thousands of fans and me as well.  I actually thought they were going to do another encore because it is so deeply seeded in their brand.  But alas, they didn’t.

The song that was missing was “Girls on Film” and if you’re thinking; “No Way! That can’t be!” – I must say it was, but they did play a lot more of their new material and even mixed in some seriously awesome Frankie Goes To Hollywood with “Relax.”

PPSS, The third video was recently shared with me on Google+ and I thought I would share it with you.  It’s a video of a 29 year old woman that was deaf, but heard her voice for the first time.  Being a person that is hearing impaired and born deaf in my right ear, I can appreciate this experience to a point.  Also, being hearing impaired is probably one of the reasons why I absolutely love music so much.
