The American singer-songwriter, lead vocalist, and worldwide fashion icon Gwen Stefani made headlines with the Galliano wedding gown in 2002.  What about John Lennon’s bride, Yoko Ono, who stepped out in a big floppy hat?  SimplyBridal has compiled the most iconic and unusual wedding outfits from the last century.  Do any of these fit your style?

That’s pretty cool!  I had no idea and I do my best to keep up on bridal fashion, history & trends.

Newport Beach PhotographerGood afternoon from EPHQ everyone!  I just shared this on my Facebook Fan Page & wanted to share it with you here as well in case you miss it today.

As I’m listening to AC/DC live in Munich while I’m working on the photos & footage I captured for The Toscars, I was thinking about what the guys in AC/DC probably had to do or had to have inside of them to reach the successes they’ve had in their musical career.  I was thinking of words like zeal, courage & so many more & then I had to break from post & look up more words online & here’s what I shared that I truly believe we must have in our hearts, souls and minds to succeed in ANYTHING we want to do with our lives.

Newport Beach International Photographer David Esquire And SuperfixGood afternoon from EPHQ everyone!  I’m one international photographer who’s been dying to share with you one of the most rockin’ collections of musicians I’ve had the honour of working with; SUPERFIX!

WHEW!  …enough of the current events.  I have a totally awesome band that I had the honour of photographing at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills to share with you featuring Southern California rock band; SUPERFIX who followed comedian; Dana Carvey & they opened for the band; Orgy.

What’s also really awesome about the rock band; SUPERFIX is one of the members of the band; Eric is a client of mine who’s Ventura Wedding I had the honour of photographing.  How cool is that!  Eric and his wife; Brooke were a totally awesome couple to work with for his wedding & here I am photographing & filming his band’s live performance.

Newport Beach International Photographer Skyfell Poster The Toscars

Good evening & from EPHQ everyone!  I have a really quick update to share with you & that is the amazing poster that you see just above.

As I’m sure you have seen on Twitter & Facebook – last week and weekend was spent at “Secret Lairs” around Southern California filming “Skyfell (And I Can’t Get Up) for The Toscars that will be shown on Feb. 19th & hosted by Brits In LA.  Well, earlier this afternoon I received a note from one of our two leaders; Matt Crabtree that the poster for our movie was complete and I’ve been dying to share it with you.  Can I say WHEW HEW!

If you’re not too familiar with The Toscars, check out this bit from their website:

“We parody the nominated movies for best feature. Teams were chosen on Jan 25th, 2012  – Everyone had three weeks to complete there short film.  Films were due by Monday 20th.  To produce, write, star in, costume, make-up and edit a 5 minute short parody of the film you were assigned – Teams were chosen randomly.

The Tuesday before Oscars we held a red carpet event and screen all the films.  Everybody had a ballot to vote on their favorite toscar, Whactor, Whactress, Best Supporting Whactor and Whactress.  Teams were chosen at random and were lead by two team leaders who acted as both producer and director – unless they would rather cast someone else from their team to take their place.

This was the most fun we’ve had all Oscar season!”

I wish I could share more with you about our movie, but I can say that last weekend was definitely an awesome experience working with all the creative minds that made magic happen in front of and behind the camera.  Now I’m counting the days that I I’ll be able to share the red carpet with everyone at the event which will be at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood!  :-)
