Good afternoon from Orange County everyone!  This is one Newport Beach Wedding Photographer that has one totally romantic Ventura Wedding that is a veritable cornucopia of colours to share with you.

I recently had the honour of photographing Ashley & Andres’ Ventura Wedding at the Wedgewood Buenaventura and it was everything that a romantic and colour wedding should be.  In fact, as I was putting the finishing touches on their wedding over the past week & reliving their wedding day – I put a little extra Newport Beach Photographer mojo on some of my favourite wedding photographs.

One of which is in this wedding story with the Rolls Royce their friend Dennis let us use for my Signature Night Romantic Portraits.  AND!  I’m thinking about blowing one of their portraits up into a canvas print from my totally awesome vendor; Pictage too.  But I’m not sure – there’s several I haven’t been able to choose yet.

From the totally epic TWO wedding cakes from A Gift of Taste, the gorgeous Floral Designs By Roni in Ventura, to Ashley & her ladies looking totally stunning in their bridal dresses from David’s Bridal and Andres & his men rockin’ their tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse – their wedding was one that I’ve been eager to share with you since I captured all their wedding day memories in photographs.

There were some very special details about their wedding day that I was able to photograph too.  Ashley opted to be super comfortable in blinged out flip flops from one of my favourite shoe stores; Aldo, she wore her Grandmother’s ring and had a totally fun photo booth too.  Which I happened to capture a very romantic moment in towards the end of the night.

Also, can I just say that once again the “Dynamic Duo” of Sarah & Amy along with their impecable staff of professionals made sure that Ashley & Andres’ Ventura wedding day was completely perfect.  From the moment everyone arrived – to when I was getting silly with them along with DJ Robin at the end of the night – everyone had a blast.

So!  Before you check out some of my favourite wedding photographs from Ashley & Andres’ big day at the Wedgewood Buenaventura up in Ventura and you’re thinking…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Good afternoon from Orange County everyone!  Duran Rex and this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer are back in from a terrific consultation with Stacie & Mike at Kean Coffee in Newport Beach for their upcoming wedding.  This was a huge compliment for me because Mike was the Best Man for Rod at his Long Beach Wedding to Dana a few years ago.  So for them to consider me for their Newport Beach Wedding – if very flattering to me.

I was about to start putting the finishing touches on a Ventura Wedding I recently captured at the Wedgewood Buenaventura and saw a note from April, who’s San Diego Wedding I photographed and her husband Jason’s Race Car-inspired birthday bash I did photography for as well in my inbox.  At first, I thought – they were another couple that was having a baby & wanted me to capture some new family portraits.  But when I looked a little closer, it was a note from April with her Event Planning company; Inspired By Love letting me know that Jason’s Birthday Party I photographed was featured on Party and Event Guide’s website.  Can I say… AWESOME!

If you’re not familiar with the Party & Event Guide, check out this bit from their site.  They’re definitely featuring some great events, tips and vendors.

“This website is dedicated to featuring the hottest parties and trendiest party ideas. There are 5 sections to the website:

  1. Real Parties Blog Featuring reader’s parties and the latest party trends. (Have you recently been to or thrown a crazy cool party? If so, Send IT IN! We want to post it for other readers to generate ideas and see how high you can set the bar!)
  2. Parties Near You Section where readers can post their parties or find out about events in their neighborhoods
  3. An Archive of Ideas for YOUR Party to help readers plan their parties

ALSO!  If you haven’t already checked out the UBER-AWESOME band; Darvoset who’s song; “Want It” which was recently featured in the Video of UK Model; Jane Lavin of the Los Angeles photo shoot – that I recently shared.

So!  If you’re thinking…  Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Good evening from Orange County everyone!  This is one super excited Newport Beach wedding photographer that has an incredible treat for you tonight.

Earlier this  year, you may have seen the Urban Glam Portrait Shoot I did with Jane Lavin in Los Angeles.  I really loved the first video I did of her portrait photographs, but I’ve always felt like there was something missing.

Fast forward to the Gary Numan concert & I meet this absolutely awesome couple in front of the theatre when everyone was leaving.  They were super cool, really friendly and rocked some totally killer fashion as well.

Fast forward a little to my birthday last month when I was dancing to INXS Ive – an INXS tribute band at Slidebar in Fullerton with my best friend; Danny (who moved to Spain today! So exciting!) and who do I see again when I look to my right – that same really awesome couple that I met at the Gary Numan concert.  I’m like… Wholly Nachos & Newcastles!  How cool is this!

We didn’t get to chat much that evening, but we were able to exchange information and I discover they’re in a local and really awesome Electronic group named; Darvoset.  I checked them out online, fell in love with their music and over time – I’ve had the honour of getting to know Kristine sharing stories and our daily adventures.  PLUS!  I’ve been enjoying their music quite a bit, practically on a daily basis and even got Linda – my client of nearly 10 years, turned BFF, turned rock star Client Concierge – who’s getting tons of awesome testimonials from my brides and grooms hooked on Darvoset too.

Oh!  Also, I wanted to add that this Darvoset is not a drug, but an electronic band.  Ok… Now that I cleared that up – I am excited to say that I received permission from Darvoset tonight to use one of my favourite songs; “Want It” in the slide show I created with some of my favourite photographs I captured during Jane’s Urban Glam Portrait Shoot in Los Angeles.

I am totally honoured & Kristine & Jay from Darvoset are definitely deserving of the world famous; “Wholly Nachos & Newcastles” award. YEAH!

So!  Before you check out Jane’s Los Angeles portraits accompanied by Darvoset’s uber-amazing electronic dance music and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

Good morning from overcast Orange County everyone!  This is one super excited Newport Beach wedding photographer that hopes everyone had a terrific “TRex Tuesday” yesterday.

Speaking of – be sure to pop over to my Facebook Fan Page for some of the latest antics with Esquire Photography’s mascot; “Duran Rex.”  He’s definitely been Getting Silly with everyone lately, especially the ladies – he’s quite the charmer and it’s pretty obvious in his smile showing off his pearly white chompers.  HeHe!

Ok… back to the West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week.

If  you had recently seen on either Facebook or Twitter this past Saturday, I was sharing some really fun photos (like the funky one of Curt Smith in this post) from the Tears For Fears concert I attended with my good friend; Carri, her BFF Kai & Carri’s other BFF and a new friend for me; Andye at the Wiltern Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

If you’re not too familiar with Tears for Fears, check out their history from Wikipedia:

“Tears for Fears are an English new wave band formed in the early 1980s by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith.

Founded after the dissolution of their first band, the mod-influenced Graduate, they were initially associated with the New Wave synthesizer bands of the early 1980s but later branched out into mainstream rock and pop, which led to international chart success.

Their platinum-selling debut album, The Hurting, reached number one on the UK Album Chart, while their second album, Songs from the Big Chair, reached number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, achieving multi-platinum status in both the UK and the United States.

Following the release of their third platinum-selling album, The Seeds of Love (1989), Smith and Orzabal parted company, though Orzabal retained the Tears for Fears name throughout the 1990s. The duo re-formed in 2000, and released an album of new material in 2004. To date, Tears for Fears have sold over 24 million albums worldwide, including more than 8 million in the U.S.”

Uhmm… Yup.  I think they’ve got quite an amazing history of success in their career.  Plus you might remember the amazing experience I had when I met Curt Smith earlier this year at a private concert for Brit Week the British Consulate put on at the Whitefire Theatre.  He knew who I was!  But more amazing to me – Curt knew who I was as “Esquire Photography” – which is so much more meaningful to me.  Wholly Nachos & Newcastles!

Plus, that was when it was proven to me that sharing our experiences is awesome.  After the concert at the Whitefire, I received a note from Carri telling me how much it meant to her that I was sharing the photos & captions of the event, because she wasn’t able to be there.  Which is the whole reason why I love to share with others through photos & words online – as we’re not able to be at events that we would like to at times.

So!  Before you check out this week’s West Coast Wednesday Video Of The Week and you’re thinking… Hey – I’d really like to get to know this Newport Beach Wedding Photographer (Previously a Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer) that loves music & fashion, photography and art, feel free to contact me anytime.

I’m available just about 24/7 via TwitterFacebookGoogle+, the form on my contact page, or the old fashioned phone as well at 888.ESQ.PHTO (888.377.7486) or 562.225.5915.

So feel free to sit back with your favourite morning “beverage” and enjoy “Shout!” by Tears for Fears for your West Coast Wednesday in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach or another part of this crazy world we’re all a part of.  Also remember to keep the “Butterfly Effect” happening and make it a totally positive one for someone else too – cheers!

PS, I just keep hearing a quote resonating in my head I recently shared on Twitter.  I think it says where my head is at with the “Butterfly Effect” moving forward – spreading positivity.  “I never wanted to be a businessman, I just wanted to change the world.” Richard Branson.

The Super PS, I’m still on the search for a couple TOTALLY AWESOME replacement photographers to join the Esquire Photography team in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, San Diego and Ventura.  If you or some you know understands the importance of wedding photography to brides & grooms along with a zeal for working in the wedding photography business, totally contact me ASAP.  Thanks!!!
